"One of them was using Overdrive? are you sure?" a look of disbelief appeared on Benjamin''s expression when he heard his Lieutenant''s shocking statement.
"Are you doubting my words now?" a dangerous grin appeared on the corner of Lieutenant Barbara''s lips, causing the temperature in the hall to suddenly plummet.
Gulp.
Benjamin swallowed hard as he cussed himself for being too casual. Even though he doubted the words of the other party, he shouldn''t have allowed it to show!
"Arrange a meeting with the higher ups of the Three Sentry Guilds. We need to start discussing the next battle stragem" Lieutenant Barbara suddenly snapped her fingers bossily.
"If my suspicions are correct, the next wave is going to be even more bloody"
"We are going to attack them head on?" Benjamin hesitated for a little while before asking with a confused pout.
The Nobles were safely tucked in the most fortified section of the Watchtower. Wasn''t it best for them to endure till reinforcement arrives?
Lieutenant Barbara seemed to have seen through the thoughts of her subordinates. A mocking sneer appeared on her lips.
"The Nation Capital isn''t as tight knitted as you think. Even without the intervention of the Four Dukes, the hearts of the Nobles are filled with greed and ambitions. So what if Yellow Peach Springs falls? that would just mean an owner less territory up for grabs.. do you seriously think any one of those selfish jerks would be risk their forces to come to our rescue?"
Benjamin gulped nervously.
"They.. They can''t do that right? I mean.. I mean it''s not right "
"Heh. If you spend enough time with those greedy and arrogant jerks, you''d realize that the concept of good and bad doesn''t apply to them. To them everything that exists is just a fat juicy meat. They would go through every kind of schemes and threats to carve out a piece for themselves"
"So I am sorry but right now.. we are on our own!"

Smoke rose atop the the mid section of a mountain peak as a group of Winged Panda Men numbering about twenty gathered around a camp fire, roasting the flesh of a large mouse type Fiend Beast.
Two of them were clad in rusty armors belonging to a Sliver General, while the rest of the group consisted of young Winged Panda Men. The two Silver Generals seemed to be on guard duty.
Staring at the cooking roast, many of younglings tails wagged with excitement. Suddenly one of the Silver Generals heard movement, causing him to swiftly grab his club.
"It''s okay Zahab" Prince Eragon appeared before the group with a calm smile. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
"Prince?" the vigilance of the Silver General waned.
However it had barely done so when the Blood Dragon Legion led by Aiden appeared as well from being Prince Eragon.
"Calm down. They are allies" Prince Eragon patted the shoulder of the Silver General, whose name was Zahab.
"Yes my Prince" Zahab nodded respectfully as he went back to his previous post.
"Prince Eragon, where are the rest of your troops? did the evil Tyrant General Jazz annihilate them?" one of the younglings asked Prince Eragon, in the native tongue of the Winged Panda Men.
"Huh.. we met an unfortunate accident " Prince Eragon replied in his native tongue, but not after giving the Blood Dragon Legion behind him a look.
"Meat for friends" the Youngling in charge of the grilling directly tore off a lap, pushing it towards Aiden respectfully as it spoke in a broken human tongue.
Staring at the large fleshy lap oozing with grilled oil, Aiden felt tempted to accept it. However thinking about how it came from a huge rat, he felt nauseous.
Just as he was about to reject, somebody beat him to it.
"Why. Thank you" Oge accepted the huge lap, unceremoniously taking a large bite, causing the grease to cover her mouth.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I need to recover my lost energy and meat is an excellent nutrition..
Oge took another big bite, chowing down without the slightest lady like courtesy.
"Aiden was going to reject it anyway " she flatly justified.
Trying his best to block out the loud chomping noises Oge was many, Aiden scanned his eyes around. Apart from the grilling camp fire used for barbecue, there was a large pile of dried up bones and torn skins..
And that was all there was.
"Where''s your army?" Marie flatly asked, as if reading Aiden''s mind.
"You are looking at them" Prince Eragon grunted.
"The hell?!" Marie''s fury was stroked.
"After all your boast about being the Prince and reclaiming your kingdom blah blah blah, this is as much as you count for? what are we going to do with these weaklings? forget about taking back your kingdom.. I doubt if they would survive ten seconds before a Garrison!"
"Well.. you guys are guilty for killing my troops earl--" Prince Eragon tried to retort, only for Marie to angrily shut him up.
"Even if they were alive, they wouldn''t make any difference!"
"Sheesh. Marie, you need to calm down " Aiden patted Marie on the shoulder.
Perhaps of everybody present, he was the only one who she would listen to. And he guessed right.
Feeling such close skin contact with Aiden, Marie felt electrifying tinglings travel across her body, causing her anger to subside.
Stepping forward, Aiden sighed.
"As much as I hate to admit it, my colleague is right. With this little man power of yours, I am afraid you don''t stand a chance "
"Yeah. I know. Like I told you, My uncle is a Tyrant who rules this Hidden Realm with a fist of iron. Nobody dares go against him. As for those two " Prince Eragon pointed towards the Two Winged Panda Men in rusted Silver General Armor.
"They were my father''s former Kingsguard. However Don''t underestimate them. Although they''ve grown old with age and were demoted to the rank of a Silver General, that was just a sign of punishment. They can battle three Azure Generals each without breaking a sweat " Prince Eragon vouches confidently.
"They are that powerful?" Aiden sneakily balled his fingers into a fist.
According to the system, a Single Kingsguard was worth 800k kill points. Wouldn''t killing two mean 1,600,000 kill points? that was a lot of zeros!
For a moment, Aiden felt tempted to turn on Prince Eragon and kill the two old former Kingsguard. If he timed his attack perfectly they won''t be able to react in time.
However this idea was immediately squashed by the reality of reason.
Doing so would mean going against the agreement of the Oath he made with Prince Eragon, causing him to suffer the punishment from the cosmic laws of this Hidden Realm. Although the cosmic laws of the place was broken, Aiden wasn''t stupid as to take this gamble
Not to mention since the two Kingsguard had been demoted to the rank of Silver General, he doubted if the System considered them as bonafide Kingsguard. It would be a shame if after going through all the trouble to kill them, he would end up receiving the kill points befitting a Silver General.
All these possibilities made Aiden have a rethink.
