Although Aiden''s blood managed to boost Marie back to full health, she still needed time to recuperate her lost beta force reserve. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she was in a foreign world whose cosmic laws were different from those back at Nightshade Kingdom, but the rate at which Marie recovered her beta force was extremely slower than normal.
As such, Aiden left her behind to go fetch the Maester from within the castle. Although her beta force was depleted, Marie still had her physical abilities as a Vampire. Even if she wasn''t at full strength, Aiden was confident she had the ability to escape if the situation became dangerous for her.
Activating Monarch Departure again, Aiden transformed into his shadowy form, moving silently past the several Kingsguards and Soldiers at the Castle Premises.
"This would''ve been a really good opportunity to farm some kill points" he bit his lower lips in regret as he passed yet another Kingsguard, finally arriving at the lowest floor of the Castle.
He just happened to notice a rather slim looking Winged Panda Man looking around cautiously like a thief.
Unlike the ones he had encountered, this one was clad in ash colored robes.
"A servant?" thanks to some earlier insider info from Prince Eragon, Aiden recognized the attire the other party was wearing.
The unsuspecting Servant was still engrossed with vigilantly observing his surroundings as his fingers sneakily snaked across the ground, grabbing a piece of jewelry that had mistakenly fallen from.a Kingsguard.
This particular jewelry was rhombus shaped and had a faint purple glow around it. Although the Servant couldn''t identify what he was, it had to be worth a fortune.. something that belonged to a Kingsguard wasn''t going to sell for cheap.
Just as the Servant sighed in relief after successfully hiding the jewelry into the inner part of his robes, he suddenly shivered as a cold but powerful grip slammed against his shoulder bones.
Bang!
A powerful force slammed him against a corridor wall as a young, pale and expressionless face appeared before his eyes.
The Servant made to scream when Aiden ruthlessly smacked him on the lips, shutting him up.
"Stay still.. or you die" he unleashed his claws, pressing them against the neck of the Servant, who nodded while whimpering in fright.
Aiden had strategically slammed him into one of the hidden corridors that led to the higher floors of the castle. It just so happened that this corridor was one of the least popular ones. As such the Servant wisely chose to play along since he valued his life.
He had just managed to steal a rare jewelry. It would be a shame if he became a corpse before he had the chance to cash in on his stolen fortune.
"Who do you serve?" Aiden asked him coldly.
"Consort Darla" the servant whimpered.
"Consort?" Aiden grimaced with disappointment.
The Maester was the wife of General Jazz, making her the Queen. It would seem this servant wasn''t going to be much use.
As if reading Aiden''s thoughts, the Servant quickly added.
"I have been laboring within the Castle since birth. I know all the pathways of this castle like the back of my palm. If you want I can lead you to the Supply room"
"What supply room?" Aiden''s brows twitched.
"Aren''t you an Alien Rebel who wants to steal supplies for the upcoming Battle Rambo?"
"Battle Rambo? you know about the Battle Rambo?'' Aiden was stunned.
The Battle Rambo was an illegal sport back at Nightshade Kingdom. He never would''ve expected that this sport still existed in this Hidden Realm.
"Quick. Explain what your earlier statement meant? why did you think I am a rebel?" Aiden pressed his claws an inch further, causing green blood to slowly trickle down the neck of the Servant.
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. Under this threat, the Servant broke into a speedy fit of explaination, not bothering to catch a single breath along the way.
Apparently, Nightshade Kingdom wasn''t the only Planetoid that had been invaded by General Jazz and his army. After he stole the throne from his brother, he had waged war on five different Planetoids. Three of them had been dominated by the Myraid Beast race, one by the Human race and the recent one was surprisingly ruled by a Mafia family of Vampires. Although all five of General Jazz conquest ended in his loss, he still managed to capture some captives as spoils from war and to compensate his damaged ego. These captives were then forced to serve as their fighters for their amusement. They would be forced to battle with meridian blocking chains on, against Winged Panda Men armed with powerful weapons. Although the use of Hexes, Matrixes and Weapon Arts was banned, it was still a large handicap, considering the Winged Panda Men fighters were armed, while the combatants were not.
"What is the highest cultivation rank among the captives?" Aiden asked as a crafty glint flashed past his eyes.
"They''ve been in meridian blocking chains ever since they were captured, but there are rumors that some of them would not necessarily lose in a fair battle against Azure Rangers. There was even a Myraid Beast race member who managed to block an attack from a Kingsguard even with meridian blocking chains on.. naturally General Jazz executed that captive, but rumors have it that there are others strong like him as well.. however they choose to remain hidden lest they pay for insolence with their lives "
"Is that so?" Aiden''s lips were trembling. He so much wanted to burst into a fit of laughter.
"Unfortunately for you, I am not here for supplies.. however I don''t mind putting that on my bucket list "
Bringing the face of the Servant closer to his, Aiden used the Eye Of Nebula on him
Although the level of the skill was quite low, the mental fortitude of the Servant had already been crumbled thanks to the claws pressed against his neck, as such the skill was effective on him.
Under the effect of the Eye Of Nebula, the Servant revealed all the knowledge he had on the map of the Castle, ranging from all the chambers, to the treasury and even all the way to General Jazz quarters where he was currently in secluded Cultivation.
Splurt!
Aiden''s claws sharply tore through the throat of the Servant. Feeling the warm blood flowing down his wrists, he grunted.
"Although you were no longer useful.. your blood would do just fine" under his mental command, the green blood transformed into seven small daggers which he stowed into the System''s inbuilt inventory, along with the corpse of the Servant, easily covering up his tracks.
"This system inbuilt inventory is really handy " he couldn''t help but comment to himself as he activated Monarch Departure, stepping back into the shadow as he began making his way through the path leading to the chambers of the Maester.
"Have I been wrong all this time?. I prefer using my fist to engage in direct confrontation.. but what if it isn''t the true essence of the system?" he mused to himself.
Although the system inbuilt inventory couldn''t store living entities, corpses were a different case. Not to mention with the Blood Weapon Chart skill he could control even the smallest drop of blood in his surrounding. Then there was Monarch Departure and the fact that he lacked the affinity to wield beta force, rune force or weapon force, granting him the ability to completely mask his presence from Magis, Runelocks or Warlocks.
With all these buffs, didn''t that make him potentially the most terrifying Assassin that would or have ever existed?
