Chapter 2574: Gathering
?
"Ah, I see now."
The group finally understood why Fang Heng had remained in the mausoleum, even helping to fend off the invaders.
"Given the current situation, the enemy should still be guarding the mausoleum. With Fang Heng''s abilities, he might not be able to hold out much longer. We need to remind him to retreat."
"Yes, Fang Heng should be aware of this."
"By the way," Li Shaoqiang recalled something and handed a stack of photographs to the council assistant. "The coffin in the Empress''s mausoleum is inscribed with various texts. Fang Heng asked us to take pictures and bring them back; he thinks the information might be useful."
"Got it, I''ll take care of it."
Mentor Let had long been renowned, especially for his talent in tranting ancient undeadnguages, and he was the leader of the trantion team this time.
Upon receiving the textual information, Let was ted. After examining it carefully, he immediately distributed the texts to various teams for trantion and study.
"It will take some time to trante everything."
Let looked around at the group and nodded, "I''ll get started."
With that, Let and a group of trantors set to work in a corner of the council hall.
Georgi understood Let''s character; most schrs of necromancy were typical academic researchers, and when it came to their studies, they often worked tirelessly without rest. "Until the results are out, we can''t help Fang Heng much. For now, we can only trust in his abilities. We should send a message to let him know we''ve obtained the photos and are working on the trantions."
At this, the group fell silent again, their gazes returning to the mirror.
Fang Heng had just made a round, cutting through the middle of the invader ranks and earning a wave of experience points when he noticed that the stone b was slightly warm. Looking down, he saw a message from the undead council and sighed in relief.
At least Li Shaoqiang and the others had sessfully teleported.
He now had a way out.
If things got too tough, he could just escape.
Moreover, based on the past records of the undead council, there had been instances where followers of Empress Persephone had withdrawn through special rituals, and those of the Death God lineage could indeed convert into corresponding necromancy skills.
With that thought, a weight lifted off Fang Heng''s mind.
As long as he didn''t lose all his skills, he''d be fine.
So, it was time to keep grinding!
Fang Heng understood that if the undead faction discovered anything new, he would consider changing tactics; if not, he would just keep pushing forward, waiting for the invaders to enter the death knight''s Great Hall, at which point he would make his exit.
Just then, Collete''s team once again crossed paths with Fang Heng.
Collete was seething with frustration, his anger having nowhere to go.
Time and again, warnings kept popping up; either the front line was under attack or the rear waspromised.n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om
In Collete''s team, he was the only one with significantbat strength, while the rest of the Dark n elites could at most dy Fang Heng for a short time.
Additionally, Collete had begun to realize that Fang Heng possessed an incredibly sharp intuition as if he could see through Collete''s position.
He had attempted several ambushes on Fang Heng, only to have each one easily thwarted, resulting in significant losses for his team.
As he watched his team slowly being whittled down, their progress became increasingly sluggish.
"D*mn it!"
Collete ground his teeth, wishing he could skin Fang Heng alive!
Since bing the leader of the Hani n, he had fought in dozens of battles, experiencing both victories and defeats, but never had he felt so utterly humiliated as he did today.
Yet he found himself utterly unable to deal with this elusive foe.
"Commander Collete!" a Dark n warrior stepped forward to report. "Karsa has arrived; his forward units have linked up with our rear team."
Finally, reinforcements!
Collete took a deep breath.
After being pushed into a corner by Fang Heng, he had sent out an urgent message for backup.
Karsa''s team had responded quickly ande to join him.
Unlike Collete''s group, Karsa''s team was stronger overall, posed mainly of elite fighters. Their numbers were smallpared to regr teams, but their capabilities were sharp and refined.
However, Karsa''s teamcked the corrosion abilities that Collete possessed, making it troublesome to deal with the Lickers and vine creatures that had powerful self-healing abilities. They had taken quite a bit of time to clear their path.
The good news was that they hadn''t suffered any injuries along the way.
"Let''s go, take me to him!"
Soon, Collete spotted Karsa arriving from the rear with reinforcements.
Karsa noticed the dire situation of Collete''s team and frowned, "What''s going on?"
"We''re in trouble; an enemy has been relentlessly harassing us."
Collete gritted his teeth and leaned in close to Karsa, whispering a few words in his ear.
Karsa''s brow furrowed as he listened.
He knew that Collete had a somewhat hot-headed and arrogant personality, but on the battlefield, he was definitely a skilled fighter. The fact that he had been pushed to this point indicated that the enemy''s strength was not to be underestimated.
Seeing Karsa remain silent, standing lost in thought, Collete couldn''t help but ask, "Karsa, what do you think of my proposal?"
"Well, I think he must possess some kind of spatial ability. Some of my subordinates have the ability to seal space..." Collete pondered for a moment before nodding. "Alright, we can work together. My elite will be inserted into your team for protection. Even if the enemyunches another surprise attack, we can reinforce immediately..."
At that moment, Fang Heng was not far away, observing from a distance.
From the intelligence gathered by his zombie clones, he had learned that the invaders were divided into four teams. The first three teams were scouting ahead, while thest team was slowly advancing from the back.
In terms of overall strength, thest team was the strongest, followed by the recently joined team. Collete''s team, with its corrosion domain ability, was particrly effective against the Licker groups, allowing them to move swiftly at first.
Another team focused on summoning, capable of calling forth arge number of high-tier undead creatures, was currently locked in a fierce battle with the Licker groups.
Fang Heng naturally favored the summoner team, as they had helped him grind a significant amount of Death God bloodline experience points.
As he watched the two teams gradually merge into one, Fang Heng quickly understood their tactical intent. They aimed to use the high-level strength within their ranks to disrupt him.
Tsk, tsk, tsk...
Fang Heng smirked slightly.
This would be troublesome.
Since it was troublesome, he decided to change his target!
With the enemy distracted and their advance slowed, he saw this as an opportunity to cause
trouble for the other two teams.
With that thought in mind, Fang Heng quickly retreated.
...
In a certain passage, a team led by Fiana entered the second floor of the mausoleum from the
right side.
At this point, there was still a long way to go before reaching the death knight hall.
The summoning elite team was supposed to be the fastest in exploring the maze, as they had
plenty of summoned creatures to trigger traps.
