Chapter 2369 Ascending
In the Inner World, at the Root tribe camp, Great Elder Geoffrey sensed the rippling waves of lifeblood energy emanating from the distant Prayer Temple. His brow furrowed in concern.
"This familiar energy... Is it Fang Heng?"
"What is that young man up to now?" an elder asked, looking towards the direction of the energy waves. "Great Elder, should we report this to Lord Shaluba?"
Geoffrey shifted his gaze to Shaluba, the demonic seed, who was currently focused on condensing a magic array. Shaluba sat at the center of a circle of tall ck stone tablets, eyes closed, fully immersed in the magic array he was forming, pletely unaware of the disturbances urring outside.
"Lord Shaluba is engaged in the condensation of the magic array and should not be disturbed. Wait here until he awakens, and report immediately."
"Understood!"
Geoffrey had not forgotten the humiliation he suffered at Fang Heng''s hands. With the power bestowed by the demonic seed, Geoffrey felt his strength had significantly increased, presenting a prime opportunity for revenge against Fang Heng.
"Let''s go. Everyone,e with me to investigate!"
Geoffrey immediately led his subordinates towards the Prayer Temple. n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Soon, as they entered the domain of the Prayer Temple, they saw from a distance a dark red pir of light rising from the temple.
The pir of light dispersed the surrounding dense fog, with red halos continually expanding outward from the Prayer Temple as its center.
Geoffrey''s expression grew solemn. The ripple of power from the halos was intense.
Prince of the Vampires, Carl, stood at the entrance of the temple, coldly observing Geoffrey and his group as they arrived.
Arge number of Lickers had tightly surrounded the Prayer Temple.
Geoffrey, holding a scepter, raised his hand to signal his tree spirit tribe followers to stop, and said in a deep voice, "Vampires, Fang Heng has already reached an agreement with Lord Shaluba and will not interfere with the matters of the demonic seed. Why are you here?"
Carl coldly nced over the group and responded, "I know nothing of any agreement. I am merely following the orders of His Majesty. No one is allowed to approach the Prayer Temple."
"Heh." Geoffrey sneered and took a step forward, his voice icy. "What if I insist on going in?"
Carl''s expression remained unchanged as he replied, also in a cold tone, "Then there will be no mercy."
"Hahaha," Geoffreyughed as if he had heard the most amusing thing, heavily striking the scepter in his hand against the ground. "I''m eager to see how you''ll carry out your threat."
As the scepter mmed into the ground, ck, thick fog began to seep out from around it, rapidly expanding into a swirling mass of ck fog that surged towards the Prayer Temple.
Carl''s expression changed slightly.
What was that?
The power the Root tribe wielded this time waspletely different from anything he had encountered before.
The Lickers, stimted by the ck fog''s attack, immediately lunged towards the tree spirit tribe.
Carl''s entourage of vampire dukes retreated in unison, while simultaneously releasing blood-colored bombs. The bombs exploded, creating barriers to hinder the spread of the ck fog.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!!"
The blood spheres exploded within the ck fog, and in the next moment, dark vines and roots shot out from the darkness.
The ck roots wildly entangled the Lickers, dragging them into the swirling ck fog.
Geoffrey''s tree spirit tribe behind him condensed their natural powers, sending a flurry of arrows toward the front. Each arrow was enveloped in ayer of ck fog.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!!!"
Carl dodged several arrows, his brow furrowing deeply.
The natural arrows that passed him caused significant corrosion to the blood-colored shield surrounding him.
This was strange!
The Root tribe''s overall strength had surged dramatically in a short period.
In particr, the ck fog streaming toward the Prayer Temple had begun to reveal shadowy, intangible phantoms emerging from within.
Carl cast a nce at the Prayer Temple behind him.
Themand from their King was clear: protect the temple. Given that the ck fog''s spread was inevitable, it would be more effective to eliminate Geoffrey. This would, in turn, cause the ck fog to dissipate.
"Kill that leader," Carl ordered.
"Understood!"
Carl and the vampires immediately took to the air, soaring above the ck fog to head straight for Geoffrey.
"Humph!"
Geoffrey, seeing the vampires charging towards him from the sky, snorted coldly. He struck his scepter forcefully against the ground once more.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!!!!"
In an instant, dark roots erupted from the ground before Geoffrey, transforming into massive wooden dragons. The dragons roared and charged towards the airborne vampires.
Not good!
Carl''s heart sank.
The wooden dragons were shrouded in swirling ck mist!
In the next moment, the dragons surged towards him, almostpletely blocking off all his attack routes.
The only option was to retreat!
For a moment, Carl and his group of vampires were driven to and fro by the rampaging wooden dragons.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!!!"
asionally, vampires were left with no room to dodge and were hit head-on by the wooden dragons, causing secondary explosions and sending them flying backward, severely injured and incapacitated.
The situation was dire!
They could not get close to Geoffrey!
"Carl! Watch out!"
Carl, distracted by the warning, nced up to see several wooden dragons, enveloped in thick ck mist, charging directly at him. He immediately tried to dodge.
But then, Carl realized the problem.
Behind him was the Prayer Temple.
If he evaded the attack now...
Oh no!
Carl mentally cursed, turning back towards the Prayer Temple. He rushed towards the temple, trying to intercept the wooden dragons before they could strike!
"Boom!!"
At that moment, a loud explosion erupted!
A dense red glow burst forth from within the Prayer Temple, sending a blinding red light shooting skyward!
A solidified wave of red energy expanded outward from the Prayer Temple''s center!
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!!!!"
The wooden dragons charging at the Prayer Temple shattered into pieces under the impact of the red waves, as if they were made of paper!
"What?"
Geoffrey''s eyes widened in extreme astonishment.
After pledging allegiance to Shaluba, his strength had received a significant boost. The wooden dragons he summoned were far more powerful than before.
Yet, despite this immense increase in power, the wooden dragons were easily shattered.
At the same time, Carl suddenly felt a surge of immense power welling up from within!
It was the power stemming from his bloodline!
Not only Carl, but all the vampires present felt this same surge of power coursing through their veins!
Geoffrey''s gaze remained fixed on the direction of the Prayer Temple.
He could feel an overwhelmingly powerful force surging within the temple.
This power was continuously escting!
A horrifying thought suddenly crossed Geoffrey''s mind.
It was impossible to ovee this force alone; only the Lord of the demonic seed could handle such a situation!
Subconsciously, Geoffrey realized that he could not contain Fang Heng. He had lost the will to continue fighting and was no longer motivated to pursue the battle.
