"What!? Is that true, mother?"
"The Grand Elders received information that his life jade is broken. Perhaps, you should go pay your respects~"
A purple-haired woman felt shaken, her expression turning nk as though she was at a loss. A few secondster, tears appeared over the corner of her eyes, making her beautiful lips quiver as she looked at her mother''s calm expression.
"It can''t be..."
She shook her head, exiting the giant pce of Saintess Lunaria and rushing towards the exit, making it to the headquarters of the Aurora Cloud Gate through a teleportation formation. She shifted through space, appearing before Davis''s ind in an instant as though the formations did nothing to restrict her at all.
She descended towards the entrance of the ind, and recognizing her, the Reaper Soul Legion let her inside.
She was none other than Ste Voidfield, who had gone to her mother to be nurtured more. However, turning to look around, she saw that there were many people gathering before the entrance, their gazes curious and their mouths full of gossip.
"Big brother..."
Ste Voidfield felt a surge of pain in her heart. This news came too suddenly, causing her to not know how to react. She had never felt this sad in her life, making her wonder why this had to happen.
"Is something wrong?"
Light shone beside Ste Voidfield as an Immortal King stepped out. It was a white-robed woman who was nothing but familiar to her.
"Big sister Yotan, is it true?"
"What is true?" Yotan narrowed her eyes.
With Ste Voidfield going to and fro to gain experience in the outside world, they had seen each other many times and even improved their rtionship from acquaintances to friends as Ste was easygoing and good-natured to talk to.
Nheless, Yotan had juste out of seclusion- no, she was called out of seclusion as her subordinates felt there was something wrong with the people outside. She had exited seclusion to investigate themotion, but even Ste was asking her about this matter as though it was a riddle, causing her to be confused.
But the next moment, she heard the people talking outside, her pupils narrowing.
"Legion Master is dead? That can''t be..."
Yotan''s gaze shook before she scoffed, "Threelotus, did master leave this ind?"
"No, Commander. These people are crazy, I say." Threelotus appeared to shrug as she rolled her eyes.
However, Captain Praezen held a contemtive look on his face, "But they''re saying that Legion Master''s life tablet broke, which is worrying."
"..."
Ste Voidfield looked at them with confusion. They didn''t know? How can they not know? Was Davis outside?
Instantly, she turned around and left towards Davis''s mansion.
Yotan also turned worried as she turned around and followed Ste Voidfield. She thought of taking out the personal messaging talisman that she could use to contact Davis for an emergency, but she was afraid that she might identally disturb him if he really was in a life-and-death battle.
After all, although Threelotus said that he didn''t exit the ind if he wanted to secretly exit, then they could do nothing about it, not even detect it.
Ste Voidfield knew the path very well, quickly reaching the mansion in under a minute with just her speed alone.
As soon as she arrived, she used her immortal soul sense to actively discover any traces of Davis, but it only took a moment for her not to find anyone in the vicinity, causing her expression to turn awry.<novelnext></novelnext>
But then, she found two little souls ying with each other in the inner courtyard without a care in their lives.
"..."
For a moment, Ste Voidfield didn''t know what to make of this situation, but she sensed that two individuals now noticed her soul sense. Within a sh, they quickly appeared in front of her, gazing at her with smiles on their faces.
"Elder sisters, what''s going on? Is big brother truly dead?"
Ste Voidfield asked Isabe and Shirley. Although she didn''t have much interaction with them, she knew that they were his third and fourth wives.
"Mhm? Dead?"
Isabe''s eyes fluttered while Shirley also mimicked her, appearing like she was air-headed.
"He could be, or he could be not. I''m not sure..."
However, Ste Voidfield heaved a sigh of relief as she saw their nonchnt attitude. Even if she was not experienced, she definitely knew for a fact that he was still alive.
"I mean, he is the Emperor of Death, so how can death near him? And since he is death itself, he couldn''t say to be living either."
Shirley blinked innocently, causing Ste Voidfield to be stumped before she exploded, her expression fuming.
"Elder sisters! This isn''t the time to be joking around or making philosophical statements like my mother. If you aren''t aware, big brother''s life could be in danger as his life jade broke. We must go save him, so tell us where he went~"
She demanded, causing Isabe and Shirley to slyly smile as they looked at each other.
They turned to look at Yotan, both heaving a sorrowful sigh at the same time.
"Yotan, it is unfortunate, but I''m afraid that we must announce his death to the public."
"Yes... what!?"
Yotan flinched as she looked at them with wide eyes full of disbelief.
Shirley shook her head after Isabe spoke, "There''s no way we can hide this as his life jade had broken. The best we can do is salvage some sympathy before the celebratory banquet begins. At least we have his legacy to take care of."
A hint of fondness emerged in Isabe and Shirley''s eyes. However, their words sparked a hint of anger in Yotan''s face.
"You two... how can you call yourselves his wives when you''re this... uncaring...? I don''t believe that you''re the people I know."
"People change, Yotan." Shirley shook her head, "Although he died from being unable to cultivate death energy any longer as he met with cultivation deviation, we will always remember him in our hearts. That said, I wonder what kind of men I would meet at the banquet. I hope there are some likable ones... mhm... I hope... otherwise... it could be a bit... disheartening..."
Shirley appeared contemtive as she narrowed her eyes, but that instead caused Yotan to be desensitized, her expression turning livid.
"Move out of the way, or I can''t guarantee that I wouldn''t harm you, you traitors."
She took out a long spear that shone with a golden light, pointing its shiny de at them with a furious expression.
Immortal King undtions surged from her, causing Isabe and Shirley to blink as they began feeling the pressure seriously trying to suppress them.
