Chapter 2113 Defend 5
??The sudden attack from the metallic construct forced Mo Yan to react. The hunchback grand magus swiftly turned and used one of his arms to block the flying construct with his bare hand. The impact sent a shockwave through the air, and Mo Yan grunted in pain as the construct pierced his flesh.
Emery''s previous probe had deduced that the grand magus was unable to move away while using his envement skill. Seeing Mo Yan struggling to stop the piercing construct confirmed his other assumption that a spirit master and envement master like Mo Yan was vulnerable to physical attacks.
"YOU BASTARD!!!" Mo Yan roared, his eyes wide with shock.
The attack was too sudden for Mo Yan to fully counter. With his life on the line, he was forced to direct his power to deflect the metallic construct away. The effort caused a strain visible on his contorted face, and his grip faltered.
This moment of distraction and effort allowed Emery to be released from the restraining force. Sensing his opportunity, Emery surged forward with renewed determination.
Emery didn''t intend to attack Mo Yan. Instead, he charged toward Ramos, using his [Spatial Bending] spell to shorten the distance between them. His real intention was to take Ramos back inside the formation. By healing the Kux grand magus and ensuring Heorgar''s sessful ascension, the three of them would be able to fight Mo Yan together.
With precision and speed, Emery unleashed his [Void de] to strike the spectral arm that was engulfing Ramos. Unfortunately, its effect against the ghastly form was minimal. However, it was still effective enough to cut arge chunk of the spectral arm apart. Just as he prepared tounch a second attack, Emery was abruptly pushed away a few meters by Mo Yan''s formless attack.
"I am going to kill you!" Mo Yan bellowed, his voice filled with rage and desperation.
Emery gritted his teeth, feeling the force of the attack reverberate through his body. The situation was dire, but he knew he couldn''t afford to relent.
Mo Yan was about to unleash his spirit attack on Emery again when an anomaly urred with Ramos''s body. The multiple interruptions had seeded in weakening Mo Yan''s hold, allowing Ramos to partially break free from the restraint and forcefully return to his body.
"You are not going anywhere!" Mo Yan roared.
In a swift motion, the spectral arm re-entered Ramos''s body, fully restraining him again and attempting to pull him away, ready to continue the envement process.
"ARRGGHH!" Ramos screamed in pain, struggling to resist.
Emery leaped in once more, determined to save Ramos. However, he was abruptly stopped by a form covered in blue lightning. The white tiger had used its killer move to block Emery''s path, forcing him intobat. Itlunged at Emery with electrified ws, each strike crackling with deadly energy. Emery parried with his sword, the sh of metal and lightning creating sparks that lit up the battlefield.
The situation escted as all four yellow tigers and the gigantic bird were called to protect their master, creating a formidable barrier around Mo Yan.
Emery was scrambling to find another solution to their predicament when he heard a chuckle from Ramos.
"What is so damn funny?!" Mo Yan shouted, his voice filled with fury and confusion.
Ramos turned to Emery with a smile, saying, "At least I''m bringing all you animals down with me!"
Emery was stunned; despite his efforts to save the man, Ramos, even on hisst dying breath, showed his hatred toward the half-blood.
However, as he looked closer, Ramos''s true intention began to dawn on him. The proud Kux grand magus had no intention of giving up yet. His face contorted into a chilling, almost triumphantugh, a stark contrast to the agony he was enduring.
With hisst ounce of strength, Ramos summoned a massive surge of energy from his soul, a potentbination of wind and fire, amplified by the power of the cosmos, converging into one decisive, detonation.
"NOOO!!!!" Mo Yan''s scream of realization and fear cut through the chaos, his ghostly form recoiling as he sensed the impending explosion.
But it was toote.
A thunderous explosion engulfed the battlefield, drowning out Mo Yan''s scream.
KAABBOOOMMM!!!
The explosion was cataclysmic. A shockwave of searing heat and violent force radiated outward, tearing through everything in its path. The very fabric of reality seemed to ripple under the onught of wind and fire. The nearby beasts, unable to escape the st radius, were incinerated or thrown violently aside.
The entire area, stretching for miles, was engulfed in a blinding light as the dark marshndscape was momentarily illuminated. The ground trembled violently as if the very earth were being torn apart, and the scene descended into utter chaos. The force of the st was so overwhelming that it felt like the world itself was copsing.
Inside the protective formation, the magus were left in stunned silence. The explosion had been so sudden and powerful that they could only watch in horror as it impacted their defenses. Ten out of the eighteen stone pirs that held the formation together crumbled into dust, unable to withstand the sheer force of the detonation. Magus Yord, the formation master, staggered and vomited blood, the sudden bacsh from the damaged formation taking a severe toll on him. Despite the massive cracks spiderwebbing through the barrier, the magus inside remained unharmed, shielded from the worst of the st.
"Emery! What about Emery?!" a tone cried out in panic.
A tone emerged from behind them. Emery, shrouded in smoke and covered in numerous wounds, had barely escaped, taking the brunt of the st. His quick reflexes and defensive spells save him from certain death. Despite his injuries, he managed to enter the rtive safety of the formation, copsing to his knees from the effort.
All eyes were upon him with concern, but Emery muttered through gritted teeth "I''m fine," as he stood up once again.
Everyone swiftly turned to observe the dissipating explosion. Despite knowing that Ramos sacrificed himself, Edgar, the Kux noble, was cheering, his tone filled with hope "That old bastard has got to be dead, right? He must be, right?"
Emery, still catching his breath, shook his head. "No, he''s not," He reminded the others, urging them to stay vignt, and quickly threw another bag of spirit stones to Magus Yord to bolster the formation. Emery took a worried nce back at the hovering Magus Heorgar, praying the st hadn''t impacted his crucial ascension.
