    Chapter 939 The Story Unfold

    MWS 932

Gary was blinking rapidly, processing thest line from his father. In just a few moments of conversation, he had learned a lot that sounded unbelievable. But to hear the final revtion...

“Wait, are you saying... Lupus, the current Alpha, the current King of Ruin City, is also your older brother, which would mean he’s currently my uncle?” Gary asked.

Dean nodded slowly, confirming Gary’s thoughts. An uncle he had never met, a life he knew nothing about; he felt like he had been thrown into the deep end of a pool and was struggling to stay afloat.

“And I thought I had family problems,” Xin remarked.

“At this point in time, I don’t think Lupus is aware of this,” Dean continued. “It’s not as if we have spoken to each other in a while. If anything, it’s quite possible that he thinks I’m dead.”

“That would make sense,” Kai added. “Based on the fact that there can only be two Alphas, and from what you just told us, you too had be an Alpha. But one thing is very clear.” Kai sniffed the air a few times. “You are not an Alpha right now; in fact, you’re not even a Werewolf.”

This came as a surprise to the rest of the Howlers in the room who were not Werewolves, but not to the others. Even Gary knew that straight away, which made it all the more important for him to listen.

“Me and Lupus were both born as Werewolves. The Werewolf line can reproduce, and regardless if only one parent is a Werewolf, that bloodline is passed on. The first transformation from a full moon differs from age to age, but usually the first transformation always happens before the age of ten,” Dean exined.

Gary started to count his own age and realized that he and Amy were above the age of ten. So, if they were born as Werewolves, they should have experienced their first transformation, but they hadn’t. This pointed him towards the mystery of why he hadn’t be a Werewolf in the first ce, a topic possibly rted to the package he had received.

“I can tell what you’re thinking, and you’re correct. You and Amy were both not born as Werewolves. If anything, with the way I was and what I had inside me, I never wanted to pass it on to my young ones. Others had different beliefs, but not me. Every time the full moon woulde, I would dread it every single time,” Dean exined.

“Regardless, me and Lupus were both Beta Werewolves, born two years apart in age. Our father was the Alpha wolf of the pack and exined everything to us. He had a more stringent approach. Ruin City was always a small ce that only attracted visitors who were looking to explore.

“Like me, I believe your grandfather also didn’t quite like what they did, which was why he tried to bury us underground away from the eyes of the others and set up so many restrictions for everyone to have.

“Although Lupus and I had the same upbringing, he was always an explorer, pushing the boundaries of where one wanted to go. And one night, he hadn’t restricted his food and even didn’t chain himself on a night of a full moon. He had let his lust go and had killed a few visitors.

“This had happened from time to time, and our father would usually punish such wolves or even cast them out, making them an Omega Wolf. However, Lupus was his own son, and he believed that he could change his views.

“They butted heads again and again, and I was ced in the middle. I understood how Lupus felt; we certainly were like prisoners. It made no sense why we had to live life that way, the way our father wanted us to.

“But I also understood our father and why we couldn’t just live freely. So, I was in the middle of the two. Eventually, though, with Lupus growing stronger and our father growing weaker after one too many arguments, Lupus challenged our father and bested him, bing the new Alpha of the pack.”

Listening to the conversation, many of them knew the troubles of being a Werewolf, but not being born one or having to control such arge pack from the beginning. They couldn’t even imagine the troubles one would go through. n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“Things aren’t perhaps as they would seem. Our father was still a wolf in the pack, and Lupus respected a lot of his decisions. For one, they stayed in Ruin City, only helping it grow, and restrictions were still put in ce on the pack.

“Ruin City was starting to grow, and it was hard to say that Lupus was a bad leader. If anything, as he got older, he understood more where our father wasing from. Even in the younger Werewolves, he saw some of himself, those who challenged him for a seat and were kicked out of the group.”

Both Gary and Kai looked at each other, both thinking of one troubling Werewolf they both knew about: Midwak. Perhaps, this was the reason why he was kicked out, or at least one of the many reasons they could think of.

“Things were going fine. During my father’s time, there had only been one Alpha; they hadn’t had any troubles. And with things going well, we thought they would continue that way. But it all truly did change when I had finally be an Alpha myself. The dynamics hadpletely changed between the two of us. It is something that I never wished on my family, and I feel so bad that you are now in this position.”

The story of Dean''s past and the start of it all was about to unfold.
