The majority of parents in this world would impose their iplete dreams on their children. It was for the good of their children and Wang Yu’s mother was not an exception.
Even if Wang Yu was not as gifted and just like any other child, Wang Yu’s mother wouldn’t give up as well.
“I feel that if you really meant well for me, you should let me be a person with my own set of thinking and not a robot without a mind of its own.”
Wang Yu said faintly, “In the half-year that I left home, my life was poverty-stricken but I felt rxed andfortable.”
“You...” Wang Yu’s mother, who was initially fuming, suddenly felt an immense heartache when she heard Wang Yu’sst sentence.
“You’d rather suffer outside than go home?” Wang Yu’s mother asked.
“I’m not suffering outside. I do feel the most blessed during that period of time,” Wang Yu replied as he turned to look at Mu Zixian. At the same time, Mu Zixian’s heart seemed to beat at the same time as Wang Yu as she turned to look at Wang Yu too. The two of them smiled at each other as their faces were filled with happiness.
“Don’t you love your kung fu?”
“I do! But I rather treat my kung fu as pleasure and not pressure!” Wang Yu said.
“Pleasure?” Wang Yu’s mother asked, “Training is tough by itself so how can it bring you pleasure?”
Wang Yu answered, “Expressing my kung fu freely in the game is the greatest form of pleasure! It is much better than training behind closed doors like we did before.”
“Really?” Wang Yu’s mother was slightly surprised.
“Of course!” Old Wang said excitedly. There were many powerful monsters in the game and they were more interesting than hitting some wooden pile.
“Alright then!” Since Old Wang said so, Wang Yu’s mother finally managed to calm herself down. She turned to look at Mu Zixian and asked, “When did you two get married?”
“About half a year ago,” Mu Zixian replied.
“Ai... No kids yet?”
“No...”
“Great, seems like there’s still time,” Wang Yu’s mother said faintly.
“What do you mean?” Hearing what Wang Yu’s mother said, everyone was stunned.
Mu Zixian’s face was especially pale... Still time? Is she trying to force them to get a divorce?
“Mother, I finally picked up the courage toe home. Don’t you force me!” Wang Yu eximed.
Old Wang alsomented, “Aihua, don’t be like that. Don’t you know his temper? It won’t work if you do this!”
“Since I cannot endure the pain of training, if big brother leaves, I won’t be able to bear any responsibility as well,” Wang Fei added.
“What are you guys saying?” Wang Yu’s mother continued, “What I meant to say is for them to arrange another wedding. Such an obscure way of getting married is certainly not fitting to our family.”
As she said that, Wang Yu’s mother took off a big gold ring as she handed it to Mu Zixian. “The two of you came so suddenly so I didn’t prepare anything beforehand. You can have this.”
“Thank you, mother.” Mu Zixian received the ring as her face blushed.
Old Wang extended his hand to take off the other gold ring on Wang Yu’s mother’s other hand. He handed it to Mu Zixian and said, “I also didn’t prepare anything much...”
Mu Zixian, “...”
After Mu Zixian received the other ring, the atmosphere on the dining table became much more harmonious. Even though it was hard to change Wang Yu’s mother standpoint, it did feel like she had finally epted Mu Zixian.
Old Wang was more easygoing as he squeezed over to Wang Yu’s side to ask, “Big son, I saw the system announcement earlier. It seems like you manage to forge a god-grade equipment?”
“Hehe.” Wang Yu chuckled, “It’s nothing much!”
“How was your father’s performance earlier?” Old Wang asked Wang Yu.
Wang Yu replied, “Father, you’re brilliant.”
“So how about you forge a weapon for me too?” Old Wang replied in excitement.
“Alright, but you have to prepare the materials by yourself. I got all my materials from second brother.” Wang Yu nodded in agreement. This was his own father so how could he possibly reject him?
“Alright!” Old Wang turned to Wang Fei and said, “Second son, go and get me the materials you got for your brother!”
“Father, don’t do this to me...” Wang Fei almost cried out. Wang Yu only needed to do a few things on the workbench to forge a piece of equipment. He wouldn’t even spend much time doing so. However, the collection and gathering of the materials were the tough part... The same materials as the ones he got Wang Yu, do you know how much that cost?
“Or you’d rather help me forge?” Old Wang red at him.
“Brother, please make me a de too, a multipurpose one.” Wang Fei cried.
Wang Yu asked, “Oh? What other purpose do you want it to have?”
“One that can kill people and also kill myself.”
Everyone, “...”
...
Life at home was no longer the same as before. Wang Yu was naturally going to bring his wife to pay his grandfather a visit.
Ever since Wang Yu returned, Old Wang and Wang Fei had no choice but to stop ying their games for a while. They followed Wang Yu to pay a visit to their rtives’ house. After all, Wang Yu was of a certain status in the family. He would be disrespecting them if he didn’t even let them know that he got himself a wife.
The Wang n’s old man had already found out about Wang Yu so his attitude towards Mu Zixian was much better than everyone else. As for Wang Yu’s uncles and their families, they were slightly at a loss for words when they found out that Wang Yu’s wife was an ordinary woman. However, since the old man didn’t say anything, their words wouldn’t mean much too.
On the second day, Mu Zixian brought Wang Yu, his parents and his brother back to her house in the city.
This was the first time the elders of both families met.
Mu Zixian had never discussed Wang Yu’s family background with her parents. However, her parents did meet Wang Yu before and they knew that Wang Yu was a very reliable person. They were rather satisfied with Wang Yu.
Wang Yu’s family was also quite low-profiled as they simply introduced themselves as people from the suburban district vige.
Mu Zixian’s parents did not look at Wang Yu as though he was merely a ‘viger’s boy’. Instead, they looked at them as if to say ‘as long as the kids are happy’. Moreover, Mu Zixian’s father even patted Old Wang’s shoulder to say, “Brother, if you have any difficulty, you can just sound out. We can save on the money spent on the bridal gifts... We don’t need all that.”
Old Mu’s words made Wang Yu’s parents extremely ashamed of themselves. Just look at Mu Zixian’s parents...
...
On the third day back home, it was the esteemed father’s 100th birthday! This was a big event in the Wang n as well as the entire ring of martial artists.
Looking at how the ring of martial artists was declining at an increasing rate, every elderly was a treasure. As a hundred-year-old man like Wang Yu’s grandfather, he was basically a living dictionary for kung fu. An elderly of this level could be considered the Big Dipper among all practitioners of martial arts.
Therefore, this ceremony was not only for members of the big families. Every renowned martial artist and even the government received an invitation to this celebration.
100 years old... Even the government had to show some respect. Moreover, Grandpa Wang contributed to theption of teaching materials in the army...
Today could be considered the most crowded and lively day in the Wang n for over a hundred years.
