<h4>Chapter 1191: At The Crossroads</h4>
After entering the gaming cabins, the characters from both sides were transported to the PVP arena. At the same time, the full-body projections of both parties appeared in front of the audiences in the arena.
The rules of the official professional tournament were the same as the ones from the trials. The first would be 1v1, then the round robins, andstly the group battle.
The end results would be decided by the points umted from every round.
The only difference between the two was that the yers were not allowed any equipment in the professional tournaments, and all equipment would be sealed in the bag they carry.
This was reasonable, because if not there would be no way to show thepetitiveness of each yer.
If rich yers like Feng Yun Realms was allowed to throw out his equipment as if they were all free on the arena, there would be no point in the tournament anymore.
Hence in the arena, yers could only use their truebat skills to show sportsmanship.
In the first round of tournaments, Quan Zhen Sect was the host side so they had the priority for choosing locations. Therefore, Quan Zhen Sect could choose the location for the first round.
ording to traditions, the first round would be to test the opponent’s skill level. After all, the teams that could make it to professional tournaments were teams that were not that weak.
Hence, Quan Zhen Sect chose the smallest possible location – The Arena. The first yer to be on the Arena was the weakest among Quan Zhen Sect, Frost de.
From Spiritual Shadows, the first yer up was an Assassin named Shadow Kill.
Compared to Frost de, Shadow Kill’s name had more loftiness to it.
After both teams had chosen their representative, the two representative yers were sent into the tournament grounds.
Shadow Kill wore dark clothes and a mask and his figure looked creepy and daunting. Such unique aura only meant that he was a qualified and legitimate Assassin.
Meanwhile, Frost de wore sparkly equipment and raised his head high, acting like a warrior. There was nothing that suggested that he was an Assassin.
Even though they had very different styles, both parties had simrbat methods. After the countdown, both Frost de and Shadow Kill started with [Stealth].
Both of them instantly became two shadows on the arena.
All Assassins would start by [Stealth], and especially so for going against their own kind.
What followed next was the most boring scene in history.
The audience sat on the auditorium and had a bird’s eye view, so they could see the shadows of the two yers. However, the two yers in the arena could not see each other at all.
In addition to that, both were the first yer to battle from their own teams, so they were more cautious about revealing too much of their skill. They were just merely trying to find out each other’s skill level.
After the battle started, Frost de ran to the corner of the Arena and stared at the battleground nkly.
Simrly, Shadow Kill ran to his corner on the arena and observed Frost de as if they had already discussed this between themselves.
Seeing both of the yers chickening out, the audiences were confused.
F*ck, after all these years of watching tournaments, this was the first time they saw something like that.
No wonder all of them said that mentally weak children were the happiest. Applied to this scenario, it was so obvious that the amateurs were amateurs. If not for the environment, everyone would have thought they were watching a y.
After a minute, both parties still have not moved.
The audiences started to get restless.
Three minutester, everything remained the same.
Everyone started screaming, “Stab his a**hole, CNM!”
After 5 minutes, the audiences were tired of screaming and started falling asleep on their seats. The yers on the arena started feeling uneasy after staring at the empty arena for the whole time.
Because the tickets to the battle were so expensive, they would be cklisted if this went on.
After a few more minutes, Frost de and Shadow Kill were impatient as well. Both of them started their attack towards the middle of the arena.
Of course, Frost de had better equipment and hence the ability to [Stealth] twice. Therefore, he had more confidence and walked towards the opponent.
On the other hand, Shadow Kill was a perfect epitome of what an Assassin was, so he was careful and creepy and moved forward half-squatted.
“They moved!”
Both of them finally moved and the audiences were moved to tears as if they saw two vegetables talking after 10 years have passed. Those audiences who fell asleep woke up immediately after hearing the cheering from the others.
Luckily, the arena was not big. It could be seen that the two yers were moving closer to each other very clearly.
All of the audience started counting down to the direct confrontation of the two yers in their hearts.
The quiet countdowns turned in to a synced countdown together.
3, 2, 1...
Right when all of them thought that the two yers were about to meet each other, Shadow Kill slid beside Frost de’s legs miraculously.
“F*ck!!”
After seeing what had happened, all of the audiences’ heart sank.
However, Frost de felt something pass by his legs on the ground and stabbed his dagger into the ground fiercely.
At the same time, Shadow Kill stood up suddenly and dodged Frost de’s attack and shed his dagger horizontally.
However, Frost de was still bending down at that point and Shadow Kill’s dagger swept above and across Frost de’s back.
That was how two Assassins miraculously dodged each other’s attack.
This scene blew the audience’s minds.
Although both of the attacks failed, both of the yers knew that their opponent was just right beside themselves. They simply closed their eyes and continued attacking.
Frost de thought that Shadow Kill was aiming for his abdomen, crotch and legs and squat down by reflex in fear of losing his private parts.
Shadow Kill thought that Frost de was standing up, so he stood up and aimed his dagger towards the position of the heart.
Both of them miscalcted again and their attacks failed.
...
After all those struggles, both attempts of attacking failed.
The audiences on the auditorium were dumbstruck.
“Is this really not pre-rehearsed?”
“Oh my god, I can’t believe that I spent the whole sum of getting the tournament tickets to watch <<At the Crossing>>.”
After a few rounds of missing, Frost de was a little desperate. After thinking for a bit, he ran to the side of the arena and cancelled his [Stealth] and exposed himself in the sight of Shadow Kill.
“???”
After being able to see his target, Shadow Kill was first stunned. Even though he did not understand why Frost de did that, he still raised his dagger and dashed towards his opponent.
Since the battle had been going on for ten minutes, Shadow Kill’s patience had been killedpletely and wanted to end this as soon as possible. Hence, he would not give up this chance with the appearance of his target, because it would be toote again after his target’s CD waspleted.
The distance between the centre and the edge of the arena was merely a few metres and paired with the Assassin’s fast speed in Haste state, Shadow Kill was right in front of Frost de in no time. He stabbed his dagger towards Frost de’s chest immediately.
