The Siren was a Level 65 Lord-tier quest boss. Every single quest boss would never drop anything besides the quest item that was required.
“Phew. Thank god I had already extorted everything out of her!” said Jiang Fei as he inhaled deeply.
“Hey! You! Come here!” Jiang Fei yelled at thest pirate.
“Yes! You called?” said the pirate as he ran toward Jiang Fei.
There was a saying that Jiang Fei had heard before. There’s a coward in every brave man. Especially bad guys. This pirate was clearly a coward. The god that he worshiped was killed by two adventurers. Even though she was a false god, she was still much stronger than he could ever be. Now that he had lost his “savior”, he came to Jiang Fei, wagging his tail and all.
“Where is the treasure hidden on this ind?” asked Jiang Fei.
“Treasure? There’s never a treasure here! This ind is in the middle nowhere. Very few ships hade and gone. We had only managed to hijack a few of them to take what we could to survive,” said the pirate as he shook his head.
“Are you sure?” asked Jiang Fei as he took one step closer to the pirate whilst holding the hammer on his waist.
“Y-Y-Y-Yes! I’m sure! We didn’t keep anything precious any longer! To us, food and water are more precious than gold!” cried the pirate as he kneeled down in front of Jiang Fei, crying as he did. Jiang Fei’s art of intimidation was superb. The pirate was so scared of him. He was more scared of Isabe and thank whatever gods there were that she was not talking to him. Isabe was busy dismembering the corpse of the Siren by side.
“I’m not asking for your treasure! I’m asking for hidden treasure on this ind! Sigh... Fine. Since you are no use to me, I guess there’s no need for you to live any longer! Shall I send you along with your fellow mates?” asked Jiang Fei as he pulled out his hammer from his waist.
“AHHH! Please, good sir! We don’t have anything good for you! I think the Siren might have something for you hidden in itsir!” said the pirate out of desperation.
“See? Why didn’t you start with that?” said Jiang Fei as he hung the hammer back on his waist. It seemed that the hidden treasure was hidden in the Siren’sir.
“Good sir, I shall lead you there!” said the pirate before Jiang Fei could even ask about the whereabouts of their. Without a doubt in his eyes, the pirate understood the main reason why Jiang Fei and Isabe hade to the ind. They had always been eyeing the treasures that the Siren was guarding.
“Be! Time to go! Eat whatever there is and let’s hit the road!” Jiang Fei shouted.
“Okayyyy!” Isabe shouted back like a twelve-year-old girl. She happily sliced off a small piece of flesh from the Siren’s belly and put it in her mouth.
“BLEH! Disgusting! Pui!”
“What’s wrong?” asked Jiang Fei.
“It’s smelly and disgusting!” replied Isabe, her voice cracking.
“It’s not like what I remembered!”
“Well. Not like you can ask the Siren to change how she tastes. Let’s go!” said Jiang Fei.
The truth was Isabe’s current form could not properly enjoy the Siren’s meat. In her dragon form, she could thoroughly enjoy the taste of raw flesh and blood. In her demon form, she would have the taste bud simr to that of regr humans. Naturally, she would not be able to handle it.
“Sigh... how sad. If I knew that she was disgusting, I wouldn’t have killed her!” said Isabe as she spat out whatever that was in her mouth. If the Siren’s ghost could hear what Isabe had just said, the Siren might start rolling in her grave!
With the pirate leading the way, Jiang Fei and Isabe found themselves traveling across the thick forest with ease. Very soon, they reached the Siren’sir, which was a cave that was at the end of the beach across the ind.
“Now that’s justzy writing,” said Jiang Fei as soon as he stepped into the cave. The treasure chest that was supposed to contain the treasure was just sitting there, right at the entrance. Jiang Fei did not even have to walk further in.
Pirate’s Treasure Chest (Quest Item, Normal)
Description: A quest item toplete the Explorer Title Challenge Quest.
The treasure chest’s properties description was simple and direct.
“Ding! Explorer Title Challenge Quest Completed!”
“Ding! Congrattions yer Verdure Glider for obtaining the Explorer title promotion! All Allied Reputation Points +4,000!”
Explorer: Builds trust with NPCs faster and better. Able to receive higher ranking quests. Grants you the ability to equip a few equipment with Title Requirement.
Jiang Fei read the properties of the Title and found that it was not much of a boost him as a yer. However, the title did grant yers to ept higher difficulty quest from NPCs which allowed faster leveling as well as obtaining better equipment.
There were not many types of equipment with Title Requirement. However, if one did, the equipment would be a powerful one. Until this day, Jiang Fei had only seen one, which was the Demon race’s Holy Item he had with him. Abraham, Destroyer of Kingdoms was a two-handed sword that required the Title of Dragon yer.
A few seconds after Jiang Fei had obtained the Explorer title, a pir of light shed from the sky and Jiang Fei was immediately transported back to Dawnlight City.
“Respected Explorer, wee back to Dawnlight City!” said one of the NPC guards who was always standing by the Teleportation Portal.
“Haha, that’s a nice treatment for a change!” said Jiang Fei as he smiled. Even though there was no change in his stats, having an NPC treat him better was rather nice! He might even have the chance to properly built a rtionship with an NPC to obtain better and more difficult quests!
Jiang Fei roamed around the city, spending what remaining time he had on testing the reaction of different NPCs. After that, he apanied Billy Boy and Little Rain to kill a few yers in the Battlefield until it was time the server shut down for the day.
After breakfast, Jiang Fei chose not to go to school. After what had happened yesterday, he had decided to stay as far as he could from Bai Zongwei and the rest of the troublemakers. Instead of going to school, Jiang Fei headed to the training center to continue training with the newly obtained martial skills. Just a few minutes into his warm-up session, Han Tianyu called.
“Ah Fei, why weren’t you in school today?” asked Han Tianyu. His voice suggested that he was tired.
“Yeah... no. Weren’t you the one who told me that school was a waste of time? I’m training my martial skills now!” said Jiang Fei as heughed.
“Sigh... Without you in ss, guess who’s bugging me now? The twins! They had even gone over to Old Hai!” said Han Tianyu as he sighed loudly.
In the morning, when Yang Po and Yang Qing went to school, they found out that Jiang Fei did not attend ss. Hence, they went on their way to find him since their main purpose was to build a rtionship with him. If Jiang Fei was not in ss, why would they be? Hence, when Jiang Fei was missing, the next person they would bug was Han Tianyu. After that, they went all the way to the Hidden Dragon Vige just to search for Jiang Fei. In the end, when Jiang Fei was still not found, they extorted Han Tianyu to contact Jiang Fei.
“Fine... Tell them toe to the training center in Manda Square. I’ll take them from your hands!” said Jiang Fei. The reason Jiang Fei agreed to babysit the twins was simple. He needed someone to guide him to master the skills. To be fair, Jiang Fei was in desperate need of a guide. At this point, the best way to kill two birds with one stone was to have the twins to teach him.
