Jiang Fei started bringing the group ofdies to the location he had agreed with Zhao Ganming to meet at. At the same time, he startedmunicating with 0541 in his mind.
“What benefits does the Medical Ward give me?” Jiang Fei asked.
“Captain, this thing is very useful. In the circumstances where I have sufficient energy, I will be able to use the Medical Ward to rebuild your body as long as your brain is notpletely destroyed.” 0541 answered.
“Alright!” Jiang Fei nodded. Although the healing potions could help one to recover, it was useless for someone who had lost a limb or two. With the Medical Ward, Jiang Fei could repair broken limbs for himself and his loved ones.
“That’s not the only thing it is capable of!” 0541 continued.
“Oh?” Jiang Fei asked curiously.
“This Medical Ward can allow someone to achieve eternal life to a certain extent!” 0541 said.
“Eternal life?!” Jiang Fei was surprised. Regardless of how strong a person was, he or she would eventually die of old age. Even a Level Five metahuman would die eventually no matter how long one tried to extend his or her lifespan. However, 0541 had actually mentioned eternal life.
Eternal life was something that people could only dream of. However, everyone knew it was impossible. Therefore, when Jiang Fei heard 0541’s words, he was very surprised.
“Of course, it’s not truly eternal life. It is only eternal life, figuratively.” Thereafter, 0541 started exining the concept of eternal life to Jiang Fei.
The cloning technique was rather well-developed on earth. But it was even more sophisticated in Namek. Basically, any hospital in Namek was capable of cloning. However, due to ethical reasons, Namek disallowed human cloning with the use of strictws. Nheless, in the age of gctic exploration, there was a single regtion which specially allowed crew members to obtain a new life through cloning.
Although Namek had very advanced technologies, space travel was still an activity which required a significant amount of time. Most of the time, exploring an unknown gxy could not be aplished within a generation’s lifespan. However, an exploration vessel could not contain a self-popting group due to the limited space. Therefore, Namek enacted such a regtion during the age of gctic exploration.
Of course, a clone was akin to a piece of nk paper without any memory or knowledge. Although clones had the body of a full-grown human, it had the intelligence of a newborn. Another kind of special technique was needed–the Memory Storage and Transfer technique.
Crew members on the space vessel would periodically save their memories and thoughts into a designated device. Once they die of old age, other crew members would transfer their most recent record of memories and thoughts into the new clone’s body. In that way, the clone would instantly have the memory and knowledge of the recently deceased crew member.
As such, although the old crew member had died, the new clone body would have perfect knowledge and memory of the deceased crew member. The clone would be able to continue the work of exploration on behalf of the deceased crew member. In other words, this meant the deceased crew member had achieved eternal life.
“Of course, this kind of behavior was somewhat hical. Therefore, thew only allowed this kind of technique to be used in the space vessels on exploration missions. The use of such techniques was still strictly prohibited on Namek.
“Tsk. The person would still be dead in the end.” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes. He thought that there could be true eternal life. In the end, it only meant a clone would live on behalf of the deceased person. The person would still have to die.
“Forget it. Although it isn’t very useful, I would at least not have to worry about losing a limb or anything like that.” Jiang Fei shook his head. Although Jiang Fei was quite disappointed by 0541’s alleged concept of eternal life, the Medical Ward was still useful to him.
However, through 0541’s exnation, Jiang Fei finally understood how the Japanese were able to create Bio-Humans. Clearly, they had pre-recorded someone’s memory and injected it into a Pinnacle Level Four Bio-Human’s body. However, as the Japanese had yet to fully master the technique, the memory they recorded would notst very long. After some time, the pre-recorded memory would slowly disappear. They would have to re-inject the memory the next time they used thepleted Bio-Human.
Moreover, as the Japanese had not mastered the insertion technique, it was not easy to operate. That meant that they could not create perfect High-Tier Bio-Humans using this kind of technique.
After approximately twenty minutes of rushing, Jiang Fei and the group ofdies finally arrived at the spot where they had agreed to meet with Zhao Ganming.
“Brother Jiang, you havee atst!” Zhao Ganming and the rest immediately stood up.
“Uncle Zhao, where is my senior brother?” Jiang Fei had not finished his sentence when Ding Menghan ran toward Zhao Ganming’s small team. She cried out when she could not find her senior brother.
“He is gone...” Zhao Ganming could not finish his sentence. He had lost six of his team members, one of which was Ding Menghan’s senior brother.
“Senior brother...” Ding Menghan’s tears started rolling down her cheeks when she heard what Zhao Ganming had said.
“Haih! me it on me. I was too weak...” Zhao Ganming sighed as he spoke. If not for Jiang Fei, none of them would have survived.
“Brother, don’t me yourself. After all, there were far too many of the Japanese troops. You did your best!” Jiang Fei said in aforting tone.
Right then, a few of the girls standing around Jiang Fei started crying. Clearly, some of their sects’ members had also died in the hands of the Japanese. Shang Guanqi was the only one who looked emotionless. Although one of the disciples from the Soaring Cloud Sect had also died, she did not seem to care.
“Alright now. The ones who died have already left us. There is no point in being sad now. We are still in Tokyo. If you want to mourn, you should wait until we get back home alive.” Jiang Fei sensed that there was something wrong with the atmosphere. Influenced by thedies, the male disciples originally determined to fight were starting to tear up as well. This was not a good sign.
“That’s right! Our main priority is to stay alive. Secondly, we should avenge our partners who have been killed. We don’t have time to mope around here!” Zhao Ganming sensed the odd atmosphere as well. If it continued on, these young people would lose their fighting will.
“That’s right! We must avenge senior brother Wang!”
“Yeah! We can’t let brother Chen die in vain!”
...
After all, these disciples were all still very young. These were hot-blooded youths whose will to revenge were sparked through Jiang Fei and Zhao Ganming’s encouragement. All of a sudden, the awry atmosphere in the air was cleared.
“Brother Jiang Fei, what do you n to do next?” Zhao Ganming asked. Right then, Jiang Fei seemed even more mysterious to Zhao Ganming than before. Jiang Fei was capable of sneaking into the Japanese’s base without being discovered and was even able to kill all of the High-Tier Bio-Humans’ controllers and destroy the base thereafter. This was not something that could be aplished by any normal human being.
