    With the sound of scissors at its snip-snip rhythm filling the room, I behaved like a well-behaved child and sat still in the chair that Yayoi-san had ced in the middle of the living room. After giving me a veryfortable hug that I wouldn''t mind getting lost in, she eventually decided that it was time to trim my hair.


    Her hairstylist persona had been totally unleashed. The living room had been transformed into a makeshift salon, with a towel around my neck and a cape over my clothes to protect me from the falling hair. She started snipping away, asionally blowing a strand of my hair out of my eyes with a gentle breath, her eyes reflecting satisfaction with her work.


    "There you go. Your hair looks so much better now, Ruki-dear," Yayoi-san said, her voice filled with pride as she examined her work in the mirror. She had moved around me, snipping and shaping, and now she stepped back to admire the result. Her fingers gently brushed the loose hairs from my forehead, her touch warm,forting, and full of affection.


    "What''s left is to do some treatment for your hair, make it shine," Yayoi-san said with a knowing smile as she led me to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and adjusted the water temperature, making sure it was just right. She had that kind of meticulous care that was both adorable and infectious.


    However, just before she started, Yayoi-san reddened, possibly remembering the memories we shared here.


    "What''s wrong?" I asked, looking up at her fidgeting in ce.
