Chapter 579: Space Connecting Light Cord

The Tongyou Ind and the Great Observation Ind were about to brush against each other and Huo Guanzhang decided to carry out an attack on the other party to ensure that they would be able to remain unscathed throughout the entire ordeal.
Experts of the Tongyou Ind clearly didn’t expect the Great Observation Sect to go back on their word and they were caughtpletely off guard. Without any preparations, it was almost impossible to take on an attack by the grand formation of the Great Observation Ind without suffering much damage.
The reason Huo Guanzhang schemed against the Tongyou Ind wasn’t just because he wanted to shave off a hundred or so miles from the other party and avoid the collision. He wanted topletely destroy the foundations of the Tongyou Ind while he was at it.
.
Seeing as the Tongyou Ind couldn’t respond in time, Shang Bo wanted to make a move personally.
At the crucial moment, Yun Jing stopped him.
…
“I’m afraid this is their true motive. The moment you show yourself, they will definitely go all out to exhaust you. We can ignore the Azure Spiritual World. Even in our Azure Origin World, no one would be willing to allow our You Continent to birth another Martial Dipper Realm Ancestor!” Yun Jing exined.
After persuading Shang Bo, she turned tomand Chu Jia. “Since we can’t avoid getting hit, there’s no need to avoid crashing into them! Turn the ind into them! Since we’re going to suffer losses anyway, they better not dream of leaving unscathed.” N?v(el)B\\jnn
Afraid that Chu Jia hadn’t heard her properly or might have misunderstood, she emphasized again, “Did you hear me? Turn and charge into them!”
Because of the tilt of the inds, they were merely 5 miles apart. With Yun Jing’s order, Chu Jia borrowed the power of the grand formation to shift the Tongyou Ind. Not only did they not continue to tilt away from the Great Observation Ind, they tilted back towards the other party.
If the Tongyou Indpleted its maneuver, there was no need to care about how many experts there were on the Great Observation Ind. Even if their grand formation had the ability to split the Tongyou Ind in two instead of cutting off a piece ofnd hundreds of miles wide, they would be bombarded by 2 gigantic chunks ofnd.
The Tongyou Ind’s actions couldn’t be hidden from the experts of the Great Observation Ind. There was only one thought left in their minds.
The experts of the Tongyou Institution are fucking insane!
They merely wanted to take the chance to carry out a sneaky attack to shave off some of the other party’s strength, reducing somepetition in the fight for the World’s Will. All they nned to do was to gain a slight advantage. Who would have thought that the reaction of those from the Tongyou Ind would be so intense? They were willing to sacrifice everything to go down with their opponents rather than eating a little loss.
“Yun Jing, you’re crazy!” Huo Guanzhang blew his top and roared, “We’ll destroy a hundred miles or so from your ind at best! You’ll still possess the qualifications to take part in the final battle for the World’s Will! What you’re doing now will end the both of us! You guys won’t be able to obtain a single bit of the World’s Will. Are you really going to benefit the others just like that?”
The distance between their inds was less than a mile and the collision was imminent.
A cold smile appeared on Yun Jing’s face and she snarled in response, “Are you regretting your actions now? It’s toote! It’s toote for you to say anything now… Our Tongyou Institution was built from nothing and if we lose the ind, so be it! If we can cause your Great Observation Sect which existed for close to a thousand years to suffer such a massive loss, I think it’s worth it!”
“You’re mad… You’re really mad!” Even though that was what he was saying, Huo Guanzhang felt that he was the one going crazy. He was forced to the brink of his sanity by the insane decision made by the experts of the Tongyou Ind and regret was starting to fill his heart. He med himself for provoking the bunch of lunatics from the Tongyou Institution.
With the collision about to happen, Huo Guanzhang’s expression flickered between gloom and panic as he screamed helplessly, “Space Connecting Light Cord! What are you guys waiting for?! Get us away from this bunch of lunatics! Use the Space Connecting Light Cord!”
This time, Huo Guanzhang waspletely flustered.
The moment the words left his lips, the glow that surrounded the ind gathered into a long cord above the grand formation of the ind. It shot outwards and one of its ends was flung into the depths of space. The light cord seemed to extend infinitely until it disappeared from sight, but at the same time, one of the ends seemed to have attached itself firmly into the void.
In the next second, the long cord started to retract. Obviously, the cord had no way of pulling the void. The only thing that could move was the Great Observation Ind!
The massive ind with a diameter of 1300 miles or so started to shift! Just like that, the cord started to pull it away.
If not for the fact that it was happening in front of them all, no one would believe that something like that was possible.
The inds were already starting toe into contact with each other when the cord appeared earlier. Several regions started to grind together. However, a giant seemed to be on the other side of the cord and it violently yanked the Great Observation Ind away. In an instant, the distance between the inds increased to ten miles or so.
Even though it was nothing much whenpared to the size of their inds and how quickly they were moving, it bought enough time in such a desperate situation.
Yun Jing and Shang Bo stared at each other and the shock they felt was apparent. They couldn’t believe that the Great Observation Ind was able to move such arge distance instantaneously.
After getting over their shock, fear lingered in their hearts. The Light Cord actually possessed such terrifying might…
From how they created it with their grand formation, it wasn’t hard to deduce that the Light Cord was the attack they had been storing up. If itnded on the Tongyou Ind, even if it didn’t cut the ind in half, it would split off at least a third of it.
Despite their fear, Yun Jing and Shang Bo heaved a sigh of relief in their hearts. They felt fortunate they made the right gamble and even more so that they forced the other side to retreat. The Tongyou Ind remainingpletely intact was the icing on the cake.
“Quick! Distance ourselves from the Great Observation Ind. Get us the further away the better!” Yun Jing ordered in haste.
The decisiveness that Yun Jing had to go down alongside the Great Observation Ind was nowhere to be seen. Also, she wasn’t worried that they would attack the Tongyou Ind again.
The Light Cord that pulled the Great Observation Ind away earlier had already dissipated and Yun Jing knew that they wouldn’t be able to gather it again so easily or quickly. At the very least, they couldn’t create a second Light Cord in a short amount of time to threaten the Tongyou Ind.
That was also the reason why Yun Jing and the others were trying to distance themselves from the Great Observation Ind. The experts on the other side were doing the same thing as they moved away from the Tongyou Ind.
Without the Light Cord to deal with their enemies, there was no way they would dare to challenge the Tongyou Ind.
Amidst a lot of rumble and shattering sounds, inds continued on their way.
Even though they were ten or so miles apart by that point, the sudden turns, deceleration, and tilting caused some slight destruction to their inds.
Huge boulders finally started to fall from those inds and both sides suffered the loss of several miles or so. However, they managed to avoid the catastrophe where they smashed directly into each other.
Now that they were done, both inds continued on their way.
Who would have thought that Yun Jing would leap into the air and turn into a streak of light while she charged at the Great Observation Ind?
Huo Guanzhang’s deception had utterly enraged her. The Tongyou Ind nearly suffered irreparable damage because of that and that would mean they would have to take a great loss. Even though they were safe, Yun Jing couldn’t swallow the anger she felt earlier.
