Ren was aghast when the Blueprint was literarily saved into his brain, and with a thought, he could retrieve it in the form of a hologram.
Repressing his excitement, he wanted to know how this worked and proceeded to craft the Blueprint with a thought.
<ERROR! Your Crafter Level (Beginner) couldn''t create this Blueprint!>
<ERROR! You don''t have enough MATERIALS!>
<ERROR! You don''t have enough TOOLS!>
Hmm . . . maybe creating a vehicle immediately was too advance. Ren pondered and opted for something simple like . . . a phone?
Ren generated blueprints of everything he saw so he could just pick something simpleter. He was amazed that he could store anything in his head and retrieve them with just a thought.
He found something easier to make, and he couldn''t wait to try it out when his attention snapped back to reality as he heard Leonel''s voice echoing in his ears.
Ren blinked a few times, realizing he had been lost in his thoughts, imagining various blueprints and designs.
"Hoi, Ren. Are you listening to me?" Leonel''s voice cut through Ren''s thoughts, bringing him back to the present.
"Yeah," Ren replied absentmindedly, avoiding direct eye contact with Leonel, who seemed to be studying him closely.
"Really? Then what did I just say?" Leonel challenged, raising an eyebrow.
Ren fell silent, unable to recall what Leonel had just been talking about. He mped his mouth tight, not wanting to admit that he hadn''t been paying attention.
Ignoring Leonel''s continued attempts to engage him, Ren looked outside of the window until they reached Diamond Pce. The drive gave him some time to gather his thoughts and regain hisposure.
"Hey, Ren! Talk to me!" Leonel persisted as they approached Ren''s unit.
Ren chose to ignore Leonel and swiftly shut the door, leaving Leonel outside. "I''m fine, Leo. Just give me a minute," he called through the closed door.
Leonel continued to pester him from the other side, expressing concern for his well-being. However, Ren remained silent, determined to have a moment for himself to try out his abilities.
"Fine. I''ll retreat for now, but after ten minutes, I''lle in. You need to rest. Don''t go into the game just yet. Your body is still weak," Leonel finally relented, his voice tinged with distress. "Ren . . . I''m worried about you."
Leonel was like a mother hen ranting outside, but Ren didn''t seem to hear him as he got a needle, thread, and a piece of fabric.
With the necessary materials and tools in his possession, Ren focused on creating a simple T-shirt mimicking the one he was currently wearing. His fingers navigated the holographic interface, and with a press of the [Craft] button, the process began.
In a matter of seconds, tiny particles of what seemed like nanomachines swirled and converged, forming the fabric of the shirt right before Ren''s eyes. It was a mesmerizing sight as if witnessing magic in action.
In the blink of an eye, the shirt wasplete, ready to be held and examined.
As Ren reached out and grasped the shirt, a rush of amazement washed over him. The texture against his skin was indistinguishable from any ordinary T-shirt. It was soft, smooth, and felt undeniably real.
Ren''s mind swirled with disbelief, struggling to reconcile the fact that this seemingly fantastical creation was not a figment of his imagination but a tangible object in his hands.
It felt like he was in a game, and he was having a hard time believing that this was real.
''Human gains abilities when they evolve.''
''The game''s goal is to evolve humans as fast as possible.''
Angelica and Joker''s words rang in his ears.
There was a part of Ren that didn''t believe or refused to believe them.
Gaining superhuman abilities . . . there was no such things. It only happens in games and movies.
But here he was, staring at the shirt he had created with just a thought.
Was this his ability?
Angelica and Joker said that no one knows what abilities they would get.
But considering that his ss was a crafter in the game too . . . it couldn''t be just coincidence, right?
Did the game dictate what kind of ss and abilities you would have once you evolved in the real world?
There were so many questions in his head, but at the same time, he was the one answering those questions. But the one thing that Ren couldn''t grasp . . . why the game wanted the Humans to evolve.
What''s the end goal of all of this?
Ren decided to keep this a secret at first because it would surely create a ruckus, and he didn''t know how to exin his ''new self'' to the others.
Ren took arge breath, and sat on his bed. His mind was nk as he was dazed on the shirt in his hand.
When Leonel knocked on his door, Ren shooed him away by saying that he was fine and walked to the toilet.
He washed his face and took a deep breath when he saw his new appearance in the mirror.
White hair intermingled with his ck ones, and sometimes, streak of blue light crossed his eyes like a surge of lightening. It would definitely attract unwanted attention. Ren decided that he would dye his hairter and maybe it was time to wear contact lenses.
First . . . he needed to log into the game and finish the quest. He needed to get Evie out of debt first and then he would problem about this evolutionter.
He only had two days left. And who knows, if he exited his pod, he would find that this was just all his imagination born from the frustration of wanting to enter COVENANT.
