I facepalmed as Agnis’ shadow clone disappeared.


    “You are like me.” Dravo said as he arose from his tasteless throne.


    I am nothing like you!


    “I like your fashion, how about we share a meal and talk about the darkness?” I looked at my attire and noticed that mine wasn’t that dissimilar to his. I cringed at his words. Is this how Raishin and Agnis see me? I need to work on my image.


    We shall do no such thing! Release the humans or fall to my shadows!


    “Yes! Very good! I like that line! I think we will get along very well!”


    It is as if I’m talking to Raishin or Agnis, why won’t he listen?


    “How about finding what is stronger? My darkness or your shadows?”


    His mana surged and I reacted by retrieving mana from my shadow.


    My shadows will wring out your darkness and I will put you to justice.


    “Very well! Come, Obsidian Prince, let’s find out whose darkness is stronger!”


    Dravo flew up and I pulled my hammer out of my shadow. I was in my element here. This dark dimension gave me better control and range over my shadow magic.


    I paused and put my hand over my mouth. This is what they mean with an ‘edgelord’ don’t they?


    The fight hadn’t started yet, but I already felt defeated. How can I escape my fate as an edgelord? I started to get embarrassed. The words I had spoken made me cringe after recalling them. Why did I say that?


    I blocked a strike with my hammer.


    My focus was waning... I need to focus on the fight.


    Dravo got pushed back, and I got a chill through my spine. I could sense Agnis’ energy… he was watching me.


    I will never hear the end of this, will I? Nothing here seemed more intimidating. Having to put up with Agnis and Raishin making fun of me about this for an undetermined amount of time is many times more terrifying.


    I can’t afford to have this fight take too long!


    I hurled Umbra Noctis… even the name that Agnis gave to my hammer is edgy! He did this on purpose! Why didn’t I realize this sooner…


    “Ha! you missed!” Dravo had successfully evaded Umbra Noctis, but this was of no importance. The shadow attached to my hammer reeled me in, and it slammed into Dravo.


    “What!?”


    My shadows quivered and spread out as I released my three-tailed shadow cat state. I swiped my arm, drenched in shadows, and tore into him with a large [Shadow Claw]. The room was filled with dancing shadows, which created waves of shadows.


    Why did I never realize how edgy this is… I formed the shadows into a large [Shadowcat]. It started to purr, and the sound inflicted various curses on Dravo.


    “Agh! What the fuck are you!”


    I wondered if half-dragons have night vision, as I used [Blackout].


    “Ha! Nice try! I am the darkness! This doesn’t affect me!”


    Dravo got smacked into the wall by my [Shadowcat’s] paw.


    It seems he’s all talk. The [Shadowcat] pounced on Dravo and kept clawing at him. I approached my hammer and pulled it out of the wall.


    Dragons have high vitality; this shouldn’t be enough to defeat him. He does seem like a pushover, though.


    “Enough! How about you stop cheating and fight me fair and square!”


    What are you on about? I am in your territory and vastly outnumbered, there is no way this fight could ever be fair.


    The half-blood dragons that had attempted to sneak in the room could be clearly observed by me. No attempts at using stealth or anything stealthy. Some had knocked over the sets of armor near the walls of this room. The longer this battle goes on the more I begin to understand what Agnis meant by ‘Dragons live in their own world’ this is a quite literal situation though.The narrative has been taken without permission.     I [Shadow bound] every dragon in this room. To think that they could ambush me like this is ludicrous.


    “I don’t know how, but he found out Dravo! We’re sorry!”


    “Idiots! You had one job!”


    I erected a [Shadow Wall] to absorb a [Dark Dragonbreath]. “Haha what about this!? What do you think of my Breath of Darkness?” The cringe almost made me drop my [Shadow Wall].


    Why do I always get the weirdos…


    My [Shadowcat] used [Purring Curses] and hit everyone in the room.


    Playtime is over.


    Anyone in range got hit by a multitude of curses, and most of the small fry instantly died.


    The [Shadowcat] meowed and cast [Sleep] on the survivors. I pulled everyone to me with [Shadow Tendrils] and used the dark elemental skill [Nightmare].


    This is one of the highest damaging magic I can use without using energy stored in my shadows. Its weakness is that my target has to be asleep. [Nightmare] eliminated half blood after half blood until only Dravo remained. He managed to break out of [Sleep].. He might be a simpleton, but his resilience is the real deal.


    “You will pay for this!” His body expanded and forcefully broke out of the [Shadow Tendrils].


    “You killed them all! Who is going to do my errands now and call me ‘King of Darkness’?”


    That’s what you’re worried about?


    Dravo transformed into his dragon from. I used [Shadow cloak] as I anticipated a [Dragon Roar].


    I was correct and it blew the top off the castle.


    You surely aren’t going to blame me for the destruction of your residence, right?


    Dravo looked around. “You bastard! I extended my invitation to you! We could have dined in the shadows together but you refused! You killed my fans and destroyed my home. You are not an ally! You are an enemy!”


    I thought it was very clear that I am your enemy… I am convinced an edgelord dragon is the most annoying combo possible…


    My [Shadowcat] picked me up with one of its 3 tails and put me on its back.


    “Perish by the hands of my [Flood of Darkness]!” A flood of darkness rushed at the [Shadowcat] but it did nothing.


    “Huh, that’s strange, why are you still alive?” This dragon''s ignorance baffled me. I am struggling to take this guy serious. I am aware that Raishin, Agnis and Elliana would have a harder time dealing with this guy, but to me, it just seems he is messing around. Has he ever considered that shadow or dark magic is ineffective against a shadowcat? Is he aware that using any other element might be more effective?


    “Very well, you give me no choice, I will unleash my ultimate skill! [Darkness Dragon]!”


    I am tired of these games.


    The [Shadowcat] took Umbra Noctis from me with its tail. The hammer enlarged, and it kept growing until it matched the size of the destroyed castle. I imbued it with shadows, and it would release a variation of [Liberation] on impact.


    “Uh how about I hit you first, and then you use that?”


    Unbelievable…


    The [Shadowcat] brought down the hammer on Dravo and delivered [Umbral Liberation]. A shockwave traveled through the whole city as the hammer slammed him into the ground.


    I might have overdone it. Maybe holding back isn’t as easy as I make it out to be. I will have to apologize to Agnis and Raishin.


    Large cracks had formed in the ground which extended throughout the whole city.


    I still sensed Dravo’s energy. The [Shadowcat] returned Umbra Noctis to me and I jumped off. I landed next to him as he was attempting to unearth himself since his lower body was stuck in the ground. He had reverted to his human form. He looked worse for wear.


    “How about you become my second in command?


    ” I swung my hammer and launched him southward. The [Shadowcat] picked me up and threw me after him. I created a resilient [Earth Pillar] to catch him and slammed my hammer into him the moment I caught up.


    My fighting style is loosely inspired by ppinball, so I kept launching him around between [Crystal Pillars] and [Earth Pillars]. I propelled myself by launching myself with those same pillars, application of [Gravity] or I had my [Shadowcat] throw me.


    My shadowcat state got cancelled as using it on Dravo would be superfluous. We were located far outside the capital and in a mountainous area. Dravo had been lodged into a rock wall. This mountain was at the edge of the floating Yzs.


    Any last words before I send you down?


    It seems he had already lost consciousness. I backed off and raised my hammer, it enlarged and would increase in weight as the hammer would slam down.


    [Tectonic Shift] separated this mountain from the rest of the floating country and sent it down below.

    I continued to launch myself until I reached the capital.
