Chapter 621: Chapter 615: Bodhi Mystery Tree
“Ah, Senior David Jones, you’re my idol!”
The moment Sanne saw David Jones, she couldn’t help but exim in astonishment, her face revealing the expression of an infatuated fan.
Hearing this, Jedbrook Harvey tugged at the corner of his mouth, feeling somewhat speechless.
This junior sure knew how to talk, and that quickly narrowed the gap between them.
As if only now realizing what she had said, Sanne covered her mouth with her hands, unsure of what to say next.
“Hello, my idol who I’ve never met before.”
David Jones smiled, looking at those bright and excited eyes, he yed along with her words and extended his palm in a friendly gesture.
“I’m sorry, I was just too excited.”
Gazing at the palm in front of her, Sanne grabbed it with a curving of her eyebrows and eyes, too shy to look directly at David Jones. She kept ncing at an empty table nearby, trying to suppress theughter she couldn’t hide on her face.
Having been admitted to the prestigious Rosewood College, Sanne also had her own pride.<div>
She always believed she had unparalleled talent and was not inferior to any other training genius in her generation.
But it wasn’t until she learned about David Jones’s existence that she realized the gap between one genius and another could sometimes be even wider than that between a human and a dog.
Because she paid too much attention to David Jones’s personal experiences and battle videos, Sanne quickly degenerated from a proud training prodigy to a star-chasing little fan.
And within Rosewood College, there were plenty of genius students like Sanne who had be avid fans.
“Are there really star-chasing Trainers in a world where mighty power is imed personally?”
David Jones raised an eyebrow, not quite understanding the other’s excitement, but it didn’t interfere with their uing transaction.
After a brief conversation, David Jones skillfully switched the topic from personal experiences to the Five Elements Soil.
“This is the soil you requested, Senior Jones.” Sanne took out an exquisitely packaged jade box from her Star Ring.
After David Jones received and opened it to check the Five Elements Soil’s quality with his Illusion-Piercing Eye, he was satisfied and epted it.
“You can contact Senior Jackson regarding the team spot directly, and as for the remaining Longevity Elixirs, I will deliver them within a week,” David Jones said, negotiating.
To this, Sanne gave a reassuring pat on her chest, and used the opportunity to request to add each other as friends.
David Jones promptly nodded in agreement and declined Jedbrook Harvey’s invitation to have tea and discuss the nationalpetition, iming he had urgent matters to attend to. He left the two with slightly disappointed expressions and headed back to his vi with brisk efficiency.
…
At that moment, atop an ancient, ink-ck cauldron with a True Dragon coiling around and breathing mes from both ears of the tripod, three vibrantly green Bodhi Leaves were slowly melting into a pool of emerald spirit liquid amid the mes’ purification.
That’s right, to be on the safe side, Senior Jones had specifically taken out the World-Purifying Cauldron and summoned Daphne to activate the Afterglow Array to refine the Spiritual Radiance Soil through alchemy.
“Boom!” As soon as the emerald spirit liquid was burned into white stones by the mes, Daphne sucked in through her mouth, absorbing all the mes within the cauldron.
David Jones used a slight power of Confusion to crush the white stones inside the cauldron along with the Heavenly Stardust into powder, after which he added the recently acquired Five Elements Soil.
Havingpleted these steps, Daphne curiously peered into the cauldron, while David Jones sat patiently in ce, waiting for the right moment.
Time flew rapidly. A quarter-hour quickly passed, and a warm, thick brown glow emerged within the cauldron, a sign that the Spiritual Radiance Soil was forming.<div>
“Three handfuls of Spiritual Radiance Soil should be enough!” Muttering to himself, David Jones hurriedly preserved the glowing soil in a jade box to prevent its spirit radiance from dissipating.
Back in the Dungeon, David Jones hesitated for a moment upon seeing the Firewood Kylin pretending to be at rest. Instead of striking a conversation, he sat down where the Bodhi Sapling was rooted, waiting for the opportune time to arrive.
…
“Crack crack!”<div>
Having lost its supply of Mystery Power, the energy-seeking Bodhi Tree began to tremble, its dense canopy shaking along with it, emitting sounds like the whispers of a devil.
“This time, it’s truly hopeless!” the Firewood Kylin thought to itself, silently shaking its head.
With the Mystery Power corrosion to this extent, not even an Immortal could save it now!
Watching the Bodhi Tree’s surface crack and split, a flicker of distress passed through Rainbow’s spirited eyes, and its bright golden dragon eyes eagerly turned to David Jones.
It knew that without the aid of the Bodhi Tree, the perfect Evolution it had long anticipated would be as elusive as a castle in the sky.
“Wait a little longer, now is not the time,” David Jones said softly, forting Rainbow, as he lowered his gaze to Daphne, who was brewing Sacred me at his feet.
He knew that the Destiny me, not yet at a Perfect level, couldn’t achieve the feat of altering fate, but he was willing to trust the result glimpsed by Daphne’s Eye of Destiny.
After all, if the Bodhi Tree could exude a fate that was a mixed omen of great fortune and great peril, it meant there was a possibility he could save it.
“Boom!” An invisible pressure erupted from the Bodhi Mystery Tree, causing the hearts of all the people and Pets present to sink, and even David Jones’s consciousness began to show signs of grogginess.
“This is a sign that a Mysterious Beast is about to be born, burn it quickly!” the Firewood Kylin suddenly reminded.
Heavenly and earthly spiritual items like the Bodhi Tree transform into extremely difficult and terrifying Mysterious Beasts once mystified.
If not killed early, with the potential of the God Quenching Bodhi Tree, it could be a legendary Mysterious Beast of cmity, something the Firewood Kylin, as an auspicious beast of heaven and earth, could not tolerate.
David Jones ignored the Firewood Kylin and instead nced at the time, calmly replying, “Now is not the time.”<div>
“Foolish boy, I hope you don’t die by the hands of the Bodhi Mystery Tree,” the Firewood Kylin turned away, with a sense of resigned disgust as if preferring to be out of sight, out of mind.
…
At two fifty-five in the morning, when the terrifying aura of the Bodhi Mystery Tree was at its peak, David Jones finally issued the firstmand.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om
“Daphne, unleash the Destiny me at its maximum power!”
As David Jones’s words fell, a mysterious and utmost Wheel of Destiny appeared behind Daphne, and the long-brewing Destiny me finally erupted.
The vast Sacred me enveloped the Bodhi Mystery Tree in an instant.
Booming!
Unlike before, where there was no resistance, the now semi-sentient Bodhi Mystery Tree burst into pitch-ck ghostly light.
A wrinkled, yellowed, withered arm appeared from the cracked surface of the tree, the palm striking the Sacred me engulfing its trunk with terrifying power.
Seeing this, David Jones’s eyes sharpened, and he took out several elixirs to restore Arcane Force and popped them into his mouth. The tumultuous Arcane Force inside him flowed crazily into Daphne’s body through the Beast Taming Contract, making up for the depletion caused by the use of Destiny me.
“Sizzle!”
The zing Destiny me continued to ascend, making the Bodhi Mystery Tree’s cold and terrifying ghostly hand appear as sacred as Buddha’s hand.
Under this influence, the grade of the Mystery Tree plummeted from an initial S tier Level VII to A tier Level VII, and even further to B tier Level VII; the vestiges of life force it retained became barely perceptible, as if it might fall into Annihtion at any moment.<div>
However, David Jones had no intention of instructing Daphne to stop; he watched in silence as the Bodhi Mystery Tree waspletely consumed by the Destiny me and turned to char.
