Chapter 318: Chapter 318 – True Harassment Strategy

    True harassment.

Just as its name implied, the strategy revolved around harassing other teams and making them think they weren''t safe.

This job fell to Max and Ferin, as both of them had sniper rifles in hand. Before the 1st wave started, they stumbled upon a base with the yers stumbling up and down to get magazines to the top of the wall.

They didn''t know which team this base belonged to from the top of sand dune. And they also didn''t care enough to see their logo before bursting their heads into a paste with sniper rifles.

Just two shots from each sniper was enough to annihte them. Only then did they know which team this base belonged to.

[Team OrangeSquash has annihted Team MiceMice.]

    "…"

Speechless, Max looked at the notification with a nk stare.

    "Yay!"

Meanwhile, Ferin eximed excitedly and threw her arms in the sky.

    "We annihted the strongest team!"

This was truly something to celebrate. Their worst match-up, a team that could hold themselves until the 9th wave if they wanted to, was eliminated pretty early.

Max med them for lowering their guard in the final and focused on resupplying instead. Getting annihted early on was definitely their fault.

"We''re pretty lucky." He said as he rose from his prone position and slung the sniper rifle on his back. "Let''s move and find more bases, Ferin. We will locate all of them in this 1st wave."

"Got it, Captain!" Ferin mock saluted him and imitated his movement. "Soldier Ferin is ready!"

"Good. Let''s split and report our findings through themunication device."

"Got it!" She repeated and turned around. "Soldier Ferin taking off!"

With that, she ran and kicked the dust into the air. Max looked at them for a second before running in the opposite direction.

Finding enemy bases in the first wave would be pretty easy. He just needed to find a swarm of ck bugs instead of a base that blended with its surroundings.

3 to 5 minutes. That was how long the professional teams usually annihted the first wave''s cockroaches. He didn''t have that much time to find up to 9 bases with Ferin.

Still, he truly didn''t expect this. The final match''s RNG was pretty good.

Almost all bases were separated at a simr distance. It was evenly spread on the battlefield and didn''t spawn in a random location like usual.

Also, there were many high sand dunes and boulders Max could climb to get a vantage point of everything in the surrounding area.

"One on my left and two on my right. There is also one in front of me and one on my back; a total of 5 bases can be seen from here. What about you, Ferin?"

(I found them all, too. Fufufu, there are 3 bases here near ours. At, be careful. It seems one of the bases sends someone out to scout or something. I can only see three people from here. Based on their logo, I think they are from team RH4.) Continue your journey on m|v-l''e -NovelBin

Ferin replied to Max''s question and reported what she saw to the team.

(No problem. I spotted that guy and killed him.) As responded to the report calmly. (They must be panicking now. It''s your chance to harass them. If you can''t kill them all, then just run and meet up with Breeze.)

(Bam! I killed two. I am going in now.)

Before long, the notification appeared once again.

[Team OrangeSquash has annihted Team RH4.]

[500 Annihtion Points have been rewarded.]

(Fufufu, explode. The grenade is truly useful to harass them when they revive their teammates.)

Ferin was giggling like an evil viin as she walked away from a crumbling base. One mistake and other teams were done. OrangeSquash spread terror to the remaining teams, making them more sensitive to their surroundings.

And that made them gather together instead of spreading in all four directions. Max eyed the closest base in front of him through the scope.

"Ferin, I need you here. Head to the East of our base, and you will find a tall sand dune. I am on top of that dune between two boulders. We might be able to destroy another team before the 2nd wave arrives if you arrive on time."

(Huh? But there are still 2 bases in this direction. I can harass them to make sure they know their ce.)

"That would be too risky. We will strike these teams right when the second wave starts and let the cockroaches loose. If we manage to kill at least two people from each base, then that would definitely be enough."

(Oooh! I know what you mean. Got it, I will arrive in a minute.)

(Be careful, you two.) Flexy warned sternly, giving a sense of urgency. (This is final match. We only caught two teams off guard. Don''t push too much; we can use the True Harassment strategy up to the 5th wave. We have time.)

"I know. Waiting for you, Ferin." Max said in a calm tone as he yed with the trigger using his finger.

Waiting for Ferin was a bit long. He wasn''t patient enough to miss a chance that was presented in front of his eyes.

''Shall I risk it?'' He mused in his mind as he rested his finger on the trigger. ''Two quick shots are all it takes to kill them.''

"Hmm… Well, this is a final match. I need to be patient."

Just a minute. There was nothing wrong with waiting for that long.

As much as it tormented him, Ferin finally arrived.

"Where is the enemy?" She immediately asked as she prone beside him.

"That way," Max answered and pointed his finger at the base around 300 meters away from them. "You can hit the left? I will hit the right and kill the two people between them from the crossfire."

"Easy peasy." Ferin grinned and set her finger on the trigger. "On three?"

    "On three."

Max nodded and began counting. When it reached three, they shot at once.

    Bam– Bam!

Two heads exploded at once. They were downed immediately without any chance to resist. However, the two people who got caught in two explosions in the middle somehow could still stand.

    "Over there!"

They reacted at once, and one of them pointed their sniper in Max''s direction. In response, Max pulled his trigger once again, but that was toote.

"Oh no." Ferin''sst word rang before her head exploded.

The explosion hit his body and pushed him away slightly. He grunted in pain and looked up. The base was crumbling into dust.

[Team OrangeSquash has annihted Team MoMaMi.]

[500 Annihtion Points have been rewarded.]

The notification came, but he didn''t look at it. Instead, he looked at Ferin, who crawled on the desert with a wry smile.

"They got me." She said with a weak smile. "Can you revive me? I don''t think we can afford to wait."

"You''re right." Max nodded and proceeded to revive Ferin by injecting a needle into her arm. The process needed 5 seconds, and he couldn''t move until then.

However, he could still move his head around to survey the surroundings. And the situation isn''t that good.

"Four teams sent their members to our locations. They will sh if they meet, but we will get caught if we stay here any longer. Our choice is to fight them or flee. Which one do you prefer?"

The revival process was gone, and he proceeded to heal himself with a healing pod.

"Do you even need to ask?" Ferin slowly raised her body and healed herself with a healing pod. "Fight is good."
