On the first level of the Graveyard of the Gods, in a vacant ce of the blistering hot Death Desert, a loud ripping sound was suddenly heard, lingering in the air. A gray slit was ripped open as a yer was swallowed into this desperate world before he could react.
It was Qin Ruo’s second time entering the Graveyard of the Gods. His calm gaze quickly swept through the surrounding as hended on the ground.
He had finally ascertained his current location. Unfortunately, he was warped to Death Desert. The sizzling heat wave lingered in the air as it engulfed his whole body and rendered him ufortable and fatigued. It was particrly hard for Qin Ruo who was always in the shade or in a cold environment...
Additionally, zing beams poured down on the Gold and Dark Gold equipment! Yeowch! Hot!
While struggling with the oppressive hot air, Qin Ruo quickly examined his surroundings. Only when he had determined there were no threats around him, he turned to look at the gigantic tornado in the sandstorm and furrowed his brow. The tornado in the sandstorm was so huge that it extended from the ground all the way up and prated the sky, moving slowly toward him.
“Hiss!”
Qin Ruo sucked in a breath of cold air.
‘It’s huge!’
With a diameter as huge as two hundred meters, the great tornado swallowed the yellow sand, swirling and writhing high in the air, forming a huge dark irregr cylinder pir extending to the sky. An ear-piercing rumbling noise could be heard lingering in the air. The destruction was far beyond one could see from its physical appearance. The devastating tornado spun and spun around, swallowing up everything within a hundred meters in distance, gaining momentum and force as they gulped down the sand and gravel on Death Desert’s surface like an enormous, inexhaustible flowing stream.
This was not the only tornado...
There were at least seven or eight deadly tornados in the horizon! In a great momentum, the tornado could rip off everything in an instant and had turned Death Desert into an earthly hell. Qin Ruo could not help but hold reverence toward Mother Nature.
After a slight pause, the dust devil moved slowly toward him...
From afar, the dazzling light that Qin Ruo reflected had caught the eyes of few yers from the Angel Faction.
“This guy... Why don’t you run? Do you want to die?”
The Bowmaster of a three-man party felt sorry for Qin Ruo yet was excited watching the dust devil that was gradually moving toward him.
The other two were a male Berserker and a female Pyromancer with different expressions on their faces.
“It must be his first time entering Death Desert and not knowing the danger of the tornado.” Knitting his brows, the Berserker fixed his gaze on the ce gleaming with golden light.
The Berserker thought that to rush about like a blind man riding a blind horse, searching for the unguarded warp portal hidden in Death Desert was no different from looking for a needle in a haystack! Death Desert was too risky for the three of them. If they could form a party with elite yers from Angel Faction, the chances of getting to the second level would be very much higher.
“Come on! We are fine with just three of us. Forget about him. Let’s stay out of the tornado. We will go over to see if we could get some Gold equipment when he ispletely knocked down.” The Berserker stood stunned, startled by the Pyromancer’s remark. Although it was the truth, hearing it from a female yer was appalling. He had thought of adding her to his friend list, going out for some dates and maintaining a good rtionship in the game. Now that he had seen her true colors that was void of any feminine temperament, he knew for certain that they could not get along well.
At this moment, the Bowmaster suddenly eximed in astonishment, “Hey! He actually found the Sandworm in the sandstorm? He is really something.”
***
Qin Ruo was in fact understood Death Desert quite well as it was the most disadvantageous and dreadful ce for an Aquamancer. Henceforth, as soon as he entered Death Desert, two matters quickly crossed his mind: the dust devil and Sandworm, which were both dangerous.
Originally, he had thought of activating a Return Scroll and using the third entrance ticket to get to other areas immediately. But recalling a thread about “Aquamancers Burial’s Ground—Death Desert”, he decided to stay.
The tornado was destructive...
However, were the Sandworms truly the bane of Aquamancers?
For the first time, Qin Ruo turned on the game’s recorder in the Graveyard of the Gods and focused on the tornado with an abundant of yellowish sand swirling in it, approaching at high speed.
“Frostbarrier!”
While slowly retreating, Qin Ruo activated the barrier cautiously...
After sessfully activating Frostbarrier within two seconds in Snow Domain, Qin Ruo once again felt the dread of the desert and its negative effects on his magic.
The environment in Death Desert was extremely miserable that the casting speed bonus gained from all his equipment was almost nullified by the environmental disadvantage! Even worse, the environment’s effects had only caused him to take more damage. It was natural that most Aquamancers would die a tragic death dealing with the Tier 4 monster Sandworm.
Such a horrible environment was intolerable!
Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead...
“It is dangerous to deal with the Sandworm at such a speed!”
The tornado was moving at an extremely slow speed—even a yer with slow Movement Speed could easily dodge it. The only danger was a couple of frightening monsters—Sandworms that always lingered near the dust devil. Once entangled with the Sandworms, it was a great struggle to get rid of them!
“Poochie!”
Qin Ruo quickly summoned his Shadowfox and activated Darkfrost Shield while retreating rapidly...
He turned around only to see the yellow sand at his foot whipped up, soaring in the air.
An enormous ck figure rushed out of the big hole of yellow sand: a huge jaw of half a meter in diameter and full of sharp fangs flew into the air. It was so horrifying that it could take one’s breath away.
“Go!” Without hesitating, Qin Ruo summoned Poochie to attack.

“Gosh! He is an Aquamancer!”
Hearing the Bowmaster shouting from afar, the Berserker and Pyromancer eximed in unison.
“What?”
“Aquamancer?”
The two yers shared a look with each other and fixed their gaze at the Bowmaster, asking, “Are you sure?”
“Yes. A white Frostbarrier is the key attribute of an Aquamancer... Tsk, this Aquamancer is simply too tenacious. I thought he was a Pyromancer or Terramancer. He is actually just an Aquamancer, yet is so daring in Death Desert!”
The Bowmaster merely sneered, stared at the female Pyromancer in his party and said, “You are right. We will just wait to collect his equipment.” He was certain that the Aquamancer was not far from death.
The Water Element was extremely scarce and weak in Death Desert. It was particrly so for an Aquamancer, akin to a newbie diving with an empty oxygen tank in the deep blue sea. Not only was the casting speed was greatly affected but the spells cast by Aquamancer could not even inflict the proper debuff they were meant to apply.
Additionally, the Sandworm had high Defense, with even higher resistance toward Water spells!
To mess with the Sandworm with such strength, this Aquamancer had to be biting off more than he could chew.
However in the next second...
The five-meter-long Sandworm was charged at, flying in the air as soon as they collided. Stunned on the spot, the Bowmaster forcefully rubbed his eyes and fixed his gaze upon the battlefield from afar as his body suddenly stiffened. As he was expecting to watch this Aquamancer end his life in the battle with Sandworm, it turned out otherwise. Damn! Was it an illusion due to the hot weather?
It must be a joke!
The freezing effect was natural for an Aquamancer. However, he was no Berserker! How did he deal such destructible Physical Attack? It was evident that the Berserker with the sharpest eyesight was unaware of the little Shadowfox from afar.
“What happened?”
“What did you see?”
Seeing the strange expression on his face, Berserker and Pyromancer beside him were bursting with curiosity. Could it be that the Aquamancer won the battle?
Startled, the Bowmaster shook his head violently as he muttered, “Damn it!”
“Damn it? What is going on? Is the Aquamancer dead?” Hearing the hesitation in his voice, the Berserker raised his voice as he felt the urge to p him in the face.
“Ah! Can’t you watch it yourself? It just ended!”
The eyes of the Berserker and Pyromancer widened with horror, quickly turned their head, only to see the battlefield that was still radiating with blistering light.
“F*ck! Are you trying to fool us? It shouldn’t have ended so fast!” They cursed.
“Why is he still standing there? Don’t tell me that he killed the Sandworm so quickly?!”
They could not believe their eyes—both were dumbfounded. The giant Sandworm they saw from afar had disappeared without a trace while the Aquamancer could be seen gradually moving away from the tornado. The battlefield then turned calm.
The next second, a unique light shed across resembled the activation of a Return Scroll. It was for certain that the Aquamancer had won the battle—the Sandworm was truly dead. An Aquamancer that did not use his full strength, yet defeated a Sandworm in mere seconds was remarkable. This was utterly absurd beyond words!
