Meanwhile, at the outskirts of Sin City...
News about the Tier 5 Angel Faction veteran yer ck God being pursued for his life was all over the city at the time. Several thousands of Demon Faction yers rushed out from the city, like bees whooshing out from a beehive. The demonic crowd was led by a Warrior, pping a pair of Demonic Wings on his back, flying close to the ground. He watched, with concern, the three winged silhouettes cutting through the dark sky.
To the Demon Faction, hearing about three winged elites chasing after an elite veteran from the enemy ranks was not all that exciting nor was it brag-worthy news.
However, since two hours ago it had been a roller-coaster for them—the Winter Demon Qin Ruo killing off yers from Twelve Zodiacs all the way from Moonrise City to the outskirt of Sin City. After the demise of Tiger Cub, they witnessed him wipe out three more Tier 5 Twelve Zodiacs yers right under their noses. Having seen the impossible, all their jaws dropped to the ground.
And it did not end there. After Qin Ruo, ck God and Netherw, two Supreme Champions from the Angel Faction infiltrated the surrounding areas of Sin City and started annihting people en masse...
Moonrise City fell. Moonrise City fell! They, yers from Angel Faction, should now have low morale. Yet, rather than backing down they pushed on their offense—almost like it was Angel Faction’s elite yers that were suppressing the Demon Faction, not the other way round. This seeded a lot of vendetta toward the Five Leagues amongst the Demon Faction yers.
These veteran yers from the enemy line rushed to Sin City and started killing while the Five Leagues were either being indifferent of this or getting their asses kicked all over the ce...
How would the Demon Faction yers not feel a sting?
They were the ones who won the war. Yet, they still get bullied right in their turf... This was so unreal!
Therefore, the appearance of the three “winged elite yers” gave countless yers on the Demon Faction excitement—that they finally had an opportunity to receive the closure they needed. Thus, they all turned up to watch ck God’s downfall.
At the meantime, ck God felt deep regret...
He thought he could just kill off a few enemy yers and then take off. He was not prepared for the retaliation of three vengeful Demon Faction elite yers, who were supposed to be deep down under the Buried City.
As for the three winged Demon Faction yers, they did not subdue Qin Ruo because they were wary of his bizarre Stealth ability while airborne, and also his agile speed and powerful strikes.
When facing off Qin Ruo in an airborne dog fight, they genuinely were not confident in the prospect of subduing him—not when especially one of them, ck Widow, was a Warrior. It would be unsuitable for them to include her in such battles.
However, if the opponent was ck God, this made a world of difference...
First of all, his attack patterns were predictable. Although he was a Tier 5 veteran yer, his airbornebat style was nothing like Qin Ruo’s madman-like strikes, and he would not opt for suicidal attacks like using a Tier 5 AoE Assault Magic Scrolls on his foes.
Aiming at these two weaknesses, three of them slipped into equipment that was not eye-catching and snuck into ck God’s field of detection! Even though ck God, one was extremely alert, survived their surrounding tactic—he even went as far as flinging out a Tier 5 AoE Assault and Darkmist Magic Scroll each to disrupt their perception, field of vision and attacks, and then used a rare Teleport Scroll to sessfully lift himself off to several meters away, it was already toote to escape their pursuit and exit frombat status.
One of them was an Aeromancer—an Elementalist ss which had the weakest damage amongst the seven elements. However, they could perform attacks in a wide array of patterns and also provide exceptional support for their teammates. To add more, their mobility was also superb, rivaling that of the Warrior ss.
ck God got so disheartened that he felt as though his heart fell into an ice cer as he realized that it was not only fiercely pursued by both the Terramancer Barca and Aeromancer Leon in the air but there was also the Warrior ck Widow coordinating with them on the ground.
What was fortunate for him though was it would seem that Leon and Barca wanted to lead him to areas where more yers gathered—probably in an attempt to improve their league’s currently tainted reputation. Therefore, they did not forcend and demand ck God to surrender immediately. Otherwise, ck God would most likely be shot down by Leon before he could send out his SOS signal, and then consequently finished off by ck Widow.
ck God too understood this, which led to his sess in calling out, while fleeing around desperately, to Qin Ruo, whom he knew was also earning Honor Points in the Mythical Battlefield.
Yet, Leon was too fast...
In under a minute, he circled to ck God’s side from afar and kept up to his water levels—forcing him to turn toward the direction where they wanted him to be.
ck God had no other choice but to somberlyply.
Up to the final hours before he was eventually shot down, ck God was rather hopeful because he knew how blistering Qin Ruo could move with his wings in the air... If Qin Ruo could reach to him in time, there perhaps still a chance to save his own hide.
“Oh, please hurry...”
ck God prayed quietly.
Another half a minute passed...
It was then ck God, turning from hopeful to weighed down, saw what was below...
He finally saw the thousands and thousands of Demon Faction yers gathering below him. The direction where Leon was forcing him to fly toward was no other than the cursed Sin City, which was still flooding out mountains of Demon Faction yers!
“Fuck!”
ck God was one with irascible temper after all. After realizing what Leon and his teammates were nning for him—a rather humiliating n at that, he let out a furious roar and swiftly folded his wings then turned to deftly dive toward the newly ranked up Tier 5 Terramancer Barca! He would rather die inbat than to endure the humiliation of being publicly executed by these lowlifes!
After being defeated by some unknown yers in Moonrise City, this time Leon, with great caution, locked onto ck God. He was prepared to sacrifice himself to take him down to reim his glory. Thus, he certainly would not allow him any chance to retaliate.
“Windstorm Annihtion!”
Leon immediately took action when he noticed the first sign of ck God’s retribution.
Detecting the magical fluctuation from behind, ck God immediately released the Magic Scroll that he had been gripping tightly in his hand.
In an instant, ck and gray beams of mana gushed out from their hands, violently ramming into each other.
Boom!
It was as though a gigantic scar was torn open in the ck night sky... Then, the trio of ck, white wings faded from the sky at the same time.
***
Even though ck God’s retribution was unsessful, this had entirely crushed the trio’s perfect n. Better yet, ck God had shifted, in steaming rage, his Angelic Wings to glide mode before he proceeded with his counterattack.
Thus, in the very moment when he endured that Tier 5 AoE Assault Magic, this little change in his flight mode had helped to buy him some room for breather...
Due to the impact of the AoE attack, ck God’s body quickly glided downward while Leon got tossed away in the air in the opposite direction.
Their distance was now stretched further apart.
ck Widow though, who was tailing them behind onnd, realized something was wrong—she saw ck God was gliding toward the Demon yer crowds... gliding toward her...
In panic, she hurriedly turned away!
Unfortunately, there was not enough time to get away—the crowd behind her was simply too huge.
In a blink of time, three winged yers, who were in the air earlier, fell down— two of them were tossed far away into the crowds...
“Get out of the way!”
ck Widow anxiously cried out while a pair of Angelic Wings glided above the crowds. She knew. She knew that this Tier 5 veteran would be too stubborn to just fall to the ground and die.
When she was about to spread her wings and gain altitude...
A volley of mana was shot off from the hands of ck God, who had by then glided into the horde of Demon Faction yers.
Right after that, destructive waves of mana formed into a ck ball in the Demon Faction crowd and then exploded! Everyone was viciously thrust into the air by rays of dazzling ebony light!
This included ck Widow, who had flown above everyone with her Demonic Wings, and also Leon, who was desperately trying to himself from crashing onto the ground by casting Float.
ck Widow’s Demonic Wings were broken when she was tossed into the air; Leon, on the other hand, was able to re-activate Flight to maintain his body in the air after his Float spell was halted by the attack.
Barca who was still in the air falling straight down, appeared to have anticipated ck God’s attacks. Just as the moment the ck explosion happened and he was approaching the ground, he flung out the Magic Scroll in his hand.
“Whirling Quicksand!”
Which was followed by a roar!
Barca then dove into the quicksand, which was forming on the ground he was crushing onto.
At the meantime...
A loud frightening st could be hearding from where ck Godnded dozens of meters away.
A gigantic ck ape suddenly appeared in the middle of the Demonic Faction crowd. His muscr body gave offsting impression about the explosive power and strength that he possessed.
As it appeared that, before he crashed to the ground, ck God lobbed a web of dark slime to catch him from the fall. And at the same time, he summoned the Dark Vajra...
“Swamp.”
Dark Vajra, a Dark-Terra type Boss, tossed a Swamp spell onto the ground and then stepped into it.
Yet, this did not ease hisnding at all—as evident by the huge tremor resulting from him crashing into the ground.
Dark Vajra used an arm to catch ck God the moment hended on the ground while the other arm supported him to negate the huge impact from his fall.
“Go!”
ck God did not waste much time the seconds hended on Dark Vajra’s palm. He ordered the giant ape to flee while the Tier 5 AoE Assault Magic was still in effect, and the trio of Barca, ck Widow, and Leon were also separated far from one another. It was a great chance to run!
Dark Vajra reacted rather quickly. He shielded ck God in his palms and started running, ignoring all the Demon Faction yers along the way.
Imitating Qin Ruo, ck God activated Elemental Perception and then started flinging Magic Scrolls, one after another, at the enemy yers while sitting firmly on the Dark Vajra’s shoulder.
“Like a beast ensnared by a bear trap.”
Eyeing this from the sky, Leon let out a disdainful sneer and summoned his Aerobeast. Then, he and his pet immediately gave chase...
Barca and ck Widow too started their pursuit onnd after summoning their Tier 5 Pets.
Leon, being the fastest, whizzed toward thirty meters near ck God.
“Stop!”
After barking out a roar, three golden Winddes started whirling around him. With two whooshes, they darted at ck God’s back...
All seemed lost... but!
“Not too fast!”
Realizing what Leon was doing, ck God cast out a Magic Scroll from his hand.
“ck Sun Apocalypse!”
Just as Leon thought he had a bulls-eye on cracking open ck God’s Defense Shield, the spell ck Sun Apocalypse interrupted his Flight and tossed him away, which also consequently his recently activated Elemental Perception.
‘Curses... this again? Are you shitting me?’
Leon quickly turned his Aerobeast into Aero Wings and stabilized his posture. His brows locked a frown and then resumed his pursuit.
“Die, worm!”
When Leon’s fatal blow was about tond on ck God, suddenly Leon felt a great rm through his nerves. Without warning, a golden ray appeared into his line of sight! This golden ray as witnessed by everyone on the battlefield, mysteriously showed up out of nowhere in between ck God and Leon. And it was shooting straight toward Leon’s Barrier...
