Chapter 542: Revisiting The Death Valley

Trantor: EndlessFantasy Trantion Editor: EndlessFantasy Trantion

Almighty Level 50 Zephyr Swordmaster “sh”, the leader of the Ascendant Saber n, epted Violet Orchid’s invitation to form a league with the Fallen Angels, the Bauhinia n, the Violent Army n, and the Executors. He was also concerned about Qin Ruo, their apparent League Master who was still trapped in the Underworld, and he would not let go of the opportunity to join forces with the famous Fallen Angels.

While Violet Orchid was recruiting Ascendant Saber, Qin Ruo was also talking to Remorseless Warrior... To convince him to join their league.

Qin Ruo told Remorseless Warrior about the situation in the Underworld while thetter epted the invitation to join the Fallen Angels League. Now all the five ns of the Fallen Angels League were finally assembled.

In the next three days, the five ns would start attempting several imprable levels of Honor Quests... the strongest elites in their ranks were assigned to handle the Quests that were rted to the Underworld—from locating the Liches and the Undead Hordes to defeating the bosses.

The weaker Tier 5 teams were stationed at the Mythical Battlefield. Their primary responsibilities were toplete higher tiered Honor Quests and also to set up ambushes for the Demon Faction elites... As for the rest of the Tier 4 elites, they were assigned toplete the easier daily Honor Quests.

The five ns joined forces and coborated well with one another. Theirpatibility was so good that one could see that perhaps these five ns were made for each other—they were made to be a league.

Of course, it weren’t only the Fallen Angels.

The other bigger ns like the Netherspirit’s w, Hall of Heroes, Scarlet Dynasty, and ck Jail had also started topete with one another in the race toplete the Honor Quests.

However, the Fallen Angels had been leading in Honor Points since the very first day they recruited Remorseless Warrior. Their strong presence was, for the most part, felt by everyone in the game!!

    ***

A team of yers, mixed with members of Fallen Angels, Bauhinia, and Violent Army n, left Whitewater Town. They moved twenty miles to the west and then stopped in front of a valley entrance.

Along the way, the yers in the surrounding areas could not help but look up in awe at this team.. The weaker team members were all geared with equipment that were at least Gold quality. Some of them even had a few Dark Gold equipment on them. Then, there were also the stronger ones, who made the majority of their team, who were equipped with full sets of Dark Gold equipment. And among them, were about thirty members that even had legendary equipment.

And these were only the ones marching on the ground.

There were also over forty Winged Champions hovering slowly above them.

This was the line-up of the three ns. The line-up that turned not only countless heads in Whitewater Town but also in Moonrise City.

This, naturally, attracted the attention of the other ns and organizations...

“Oh no, what’s the Fallen Angels up to again?”

Netherw, standing at the Mythical Battlefield, could not help but frown as he heard the news.

    That was very unsettling.

“Why? Why Whitewater Town? I mean, go check it out. See if there’s any Boss near the area that attracted them?”

He did not have to wait long before someone suddenly reported in the Netherspirit’s w n chat.

“I’ve heard of Whitewater Town. There’s a ‘Death Valley’ a few miles to the west. The valley would usually spawn a Tier 3 Overlord Boss ‘Skeleton King’. And next to the valley lies a huge cave, home to a Tier 4 Overlord Boss ‘Stygianlock Centiking’.”

    “....”

A long pause loomed over the n chat.

Even if was a Tier 4 Overlord Boss, they could have just sent a Winged Champion and that’ll be the end of it. Yet ording to the news he got, the Fallen Angels had sent their main forces over—Homme Fatale, Violet Orchid, ck Rock... and over a dozen Winged Champions! They couldn’t be killing just one Tier 4 Overlord Boss.

“Death Valley? Skeleton King? Hold up. Perhaps there’s a squadron of Undead Hordes and Liches made camp there.” Snowmelt suddenly offered his input.

“Yeah, that’s right.” The same guy replied.

Everyone was so frustrated at him—all they had to say was that the Fallen Angels were after the undead horde and the Lich that camped near the Death Valley. How hard would that be?

    “What’s the difficulty level?”

There were a variety of difficulties in between these “Undead Strongholds”.

To begin with, most strongholds were stationed with just one Lich. These were the easiest strongholds. Naturally, yers had been destroying these since the day the undead invaded the Mythical Battlefield. After a while, the strongholds started to hold two Liches. Then, they started to station more and more Liches and other kinds of Bosses, like the annoying Spectral Shamans, in all their strongholds.

So far, the strongholds that garrisoned a mix of Spectral Shamans and Liches were considered the most difficult ones by the yers... for now...

The same guy replied again, “I’m not sure... I’ve heard there were four to five Liches. The difficulty level is absurdly high. No one ever thought of entering the Death Valley for a long time now.”

“I see. Now this finally makes some sense.”

Netherw finally understood what was going on.

Only the strongholds that contained multiple Liches would require this many Tier 5 champions and over forty Winged Champions to conquer. Besides, the “single-Lich” strongholds were now all but leveled by the yers in the game. And the “double-Lich” strongholds were mostly under watch by the other big ns. This in turn made getting Honor Points from the Liches increasingly harder day by day.

And so, they intended to in a big haul all in one go...

If they could conquer the Death Valley, they would be able to over four... no, five thousand Honor Points by destroying the Undead Horde, the Liches and by destroying the Underworld Portal.

In fact, Netherw was also preparing an operation that was akin to this. Yet, he did not expect that the first to do this were the lowly Fallen Angels and Bauhinia n... they were not going to be in the Top One League ever, not when Qin Ruo was still stuck in the Underworld. What on earth were they ever thinking? It would not matter how many Honor Points they acquired. What’s the point of forming a league that they could not even match their League Master?

Nheless, Netherw could not still ignore what they were doing.

“Snowmelt... send a few men to... No. I want you to head to Death Valley. Find out who are on the team. Record their battles, especially on how they n to take out four Liches using this line-up. I want to know everything.”

To defeat four Liches at the same time, they would need at least four Tier 5 veteran champions. Even Netherw was not confident that they could take on all four Liches with his current n members. He needed to know just what these three ns were nning.

However, Snowmelt objected the notion and said, “Hold up. If I were to do that, a sh with them would be unavoidable. Remember, this is the Death Valley. It’s a long single path throughout the valley. They need only one Winged yer to scout the skies. I can’t get near without getting spotted.”

“... that’s a fair point.” Netherw nodded with a frown.

The Fallen Angels’ elites were all assembled there. They would not allow outsiders to intrude the Death Valley. Snowmelt would only invite trouble for himself and create conflict by stepping into the Death Valley.

After pondering for a while, Netherw finally decided...

    “Fine. Let them be.”

Netherspirit’s w was about to contest with Hall of Heroes and Scarlet Dynasty to get in the Top One League. He did not have time to be bothered by trivial matters. Besides, they could not afford to get muddled in the Fallen Angels’ affairs again—everyone was already considering Dark Dragon’s defeat as aughing stock; and therefore, there was no need to add more salt to their own injury.

    ***

In the meantime, in the Death Valley...

The Fallen Angels’ parade of champions stopped in front of the valley’s entrance. The valley’s width was less than thirty meters; where hordes and hordes of skeletons lining up in the valley could be seen, blocking the path. Furthermore, there was a flock of Skeleton Dragons roaming in the skies.

“Look...” Brother Da suddenly turned to Violet Orchid.

“Sis Violet, I heard... there are four Liches over here... that’s... purely a rumor, right?”

    “Yeap.”

Violet Orchid’s nodding calmed Brother Da a little, of which he then put his hand on his chest and sighed a breath of relief. “Phew! That’s good to know. I mean, how would we handle four Liches? There are plenty of other Bosses in the area too. The only ones who could take on the Liches were Little Ruo and Homme Fatale. It’s already very difficult for us to lure away two Liches... but fighting more than that? Hahaha... thank goodness. I was worried for nothing.”

As he was still sighing in relief, yer’s Heart took a nce at him and said, “We have scouted ahead in the Death Valley. No, not four Liches. To be exact, there are six of them...”

    “Oh, what the hell?!”

Brother Da’s smile turned frozen as he heard what yer’s Heart said.

Dinosaurcerer glided over, chiding them, “Ohe on! They won’t need all of us if it’s just four Liches. You goof!”
