    “Mimic? Such a spell exists?”


    Berserker Lord’s sudden raised pitch openly revealed his inner bewilderment. He looked around him to check if anyone realized his odd response. He found that Cub, who had just delivered the shocking news to him, was the only one looking back.


    Being one of the heroes that had helped Demon Faction bring down Moonrise City, Cub’s strength and status were highlymended among the factions. This was why Berserker Lord was willing to hear him out amid the tight ongoing battle.


    “No,” Cub quickly replied. “To be precise, it’s not a spell but more of a skill; an advanced one that might also be learned by a Bandit.”


    “So you are saying Qin Ruo is capable of such a skill?”


    Berserker Lord suddenly recalled that Cub was the first recognized yer in H&G well known for a simr skill, ‘Cloak’. ‘Information given out by someone of his reputation should be reliable.’


    His body trembled uncontrobly realizing the whole matter was worse than he had imagined.


    “I have doubted it during the first ambush. Judging by theyout of our city, I can’t think of any other skills except Mimic that could have avoided our Tier 5 sentinels.”


    “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Berserker Lord attempted to suppress his overflowing rage but couldn’t help to spill over a little frustration. After all, Angel Faction hadnded on top of the city walls for more than half an hour now. In the remaining twenty-plus minutes, any unintended mistakes might result in devastating consequences.


    “I am not entirely sure then! This is because the spell thatnded on the Resurrection Point belongs to a Shadowmancer, while Mimic is a Bandit’s skill. Qin Ruo fits neither as he is actually an Aquamancer...”


    Cub concise andposed analysis gradually calmed Berserker Lord’s racing mind down.


    Indeed, this was also the first time Berserker Lord had witnessed such an odd urrence. Even though Cub might have learned a simr skill, he was not to be med for not linking the dots together sooner.


    “Can you confirm whether Qin Ruo is still present inside the Resurrection Circle?”


    “I can’t!” Cub exined urgently, “Judging by how he infiltrated the square so easily, I suspect his Mimic Skill has at least reached Master Level. It might even have been used in a way beyond my wildest imaginations. But I dare say Qin Ruo will be too slick to attack the Resurrection Point for the third time.”


    “My best, or worst guess is that his Mimic Skill will allow him to change his appearance, identity, or even the type of Elemental Spells he can use...”


    Listening to Cub’s hypothesis, Berserker Lord could not be more astounded.


    “So you mean he could even disguise himself as a Demon Faction yer?”


    “I wouldn’t bet against that possibility.”


    Berserker Lord held his breath and reached out his Elemental Perception. He made a quick scan, feeling slightly relieved that no unfamiliar face could be found around him. He then asked, “Did you use this method to sneak into Moonrise City as well a month ago?”


    “No. My Cloak Mastery wasn’t yet as skilled then. I couldn’t disguise as someone else or mask my Elemental nature. There is no way I could escape a Tier 5 Bowmaster’s watch using that.” Cub paused for a while, then said, “Besides, if I disguised myself as someone else, nobody would have recognized and ounted for me. Remember, Mimic or Cloak is different from Stealth. My abilities as an outstanding Bandit to conquer even a small region of the city wall have exposed just how ipetent Angel Faction is.”


    “Alright, let’s not dwell on this first. Instead, we should focus on how to dig Qin Ruo up as soon as possible. Any ideas?” Berserker Lord did not have the time and mood to listen to Cub’s bragging.


    “Have men defend the Resurrection Point and Warp Portal, as well as the warzone at the west end. I bet he will be aiming at these three vital points. As soon as he makes a move, immediately purge the area regardless of friend or foe.”


    Cub dered coldly.


    However, right after he provided the suggestion, a mind-blowing notification suddenly chirped in the system notification and announced to every Demon Faction yer:


    Sin City’s Warp Portal had just been destroyed by rival faction yer Qin Ruo.


    Warp Portal function is now momentarily jammed.


    Recovery in sixty seconds. The countdown starts now...


    The notification thundered through the eardrums of every stunned Demon Faction yer, including Berserker Lord and Cub who were still discussing what to do next.


    They simultaneously turned their heads toward the giant Warp Portal that had abruptly stopped working, with clear disbelief in their eyes and the equally perplexed looks on their faces.

    Berserker Lord’s initial n worked perfectly. However, forcefully sending arge number of Tier 5 yers from the north and south gates to sandwich the enemy troops at the west side meant that Demon Faction was also suffering a high number of casualties.


    Right now, they were reaping the consequences of their Resurrection Points being ambushed twice.


    Fearing their safety, the fallen Warriors from the frontlines either waited to be resurrected on the spot or took refuge inside the Resurrection Gallery.


    As a result, Demon Faction could only count on the reinforcementsing through the Warp Portal to shove the advancing enemies back.


    Hence, the destruction of the Warp Portal which had halted its operation for sixty seconds was like adding salt to Demon Faction’s wounds!


    “We are f*cked!” Berserker Lord’s face was as white as a sheet of paper.


    Without the manpower from the Warp Portal, they were forced to relocate more yers from other directions of the city. This would considerably jeopardize the defense lines at the north and south gates of the city!


    Moreover, the consecutive falls of the Resurrection Point and the Warp Portal in the hands of a single Angel Faction yer had inflicted an irreversible dent to the Demon Faction’s morale.

    “Haha!”


    “The Warp Portal is destroyed!”


    “Comrades! Push harder!”


    “Let’s kill them all!”


    “Yeah!!!”


    “Force them back into their decrepit nests!”


    “Let’s get all the way into the Warp Portal and regroup with our mates there!”


    Most Demon Faction yers were already shuddering after they learned of the terrible fate of Resurrection Point and Warp Portal. Hearing that the Square might even have been infiltrated by an Angel Faction troop, most immediately panicked and reacted slower than usual. This allowed Angel Faction to turn the situation around and once again break through the tight defense line.


    After they were breached, the Demon Faction battle formation got even messier and more chaotic.


    Majestic Hero, Netherw, and Scarlet Bauhinia did not let the opportunity slip by.


    “Charge!!!”


    More than a thousand winged Champions dived into the Demon Faction crowd. Though there were casualties from both sides, therge group of Radiant Priests had made sure every fallen Champion was immediately resurrected.


    The whitish torrent rolled over and engulfed the ck sea of a crowd in an unstoppable fashion following the order to charge.


    The situation had changed this time. The storm over the Resurrection Point had not yet passed.


    Arge number of yers near the square had now turned their attention over to the Warp Portal. While every pair of eyes were busy looking for the culprit that had destroyed the Warp Portal, the frontline had long been rolled up with no immediate backup avable.


    The copse of the defense line allowed multiple Angel Faction veteran Champions to slip into the city along with the siege army. Among them included many powerful yers from Fallen Angels.


    Homme Fatale, Violet Orchid, Steel Dude, and yer’s Heart who were stationed at the west side were protecting Xin Yu. Subjugator, Snowleaf, Dinosaurcerer, and Apocalypse who were ushering ck God, the one with Gravity Field, were also seen among the marching troops.


    The addition of the few hundred Champions made the siege force more daunting than ever.


    They wanted to finish the war once and for all before Demon Faction could regain themselves and re-establish the defense line.


    Netherw, Snowmelt, ck Dragon, ck God, and Scarlet Bauhinia were as surprised as the Demon Faction over Qin Ruo’s heroic feats. They too were baffled by how Qin Ruo had singlehandedly disrupted the entire Demon Faction’s back lines.


    But they would have to worry about thatter. Now, they had to grasp this golden opportunity of the Demon Faction’s crumbling, and surmount the city square until the siege was officially ended.


    Eighty meters left...


    Sixty-five!


    Fifty.... Forty-five... Forty...


    The siege army of Angel Faction was like a bright meteor that did not slow down even after it crashed into the vast sea of Demon Faction yers. It left a trail of hundreds of dead behind.


    Long lost exhration and pride made the enthusiastic Angel Faction yers refuse to bow down.


    Everyone was eager to witness the epoch of the Angel Faction dominance.


    Unmoving determination caused them to ignore the valuable Equipment all over the ce. Only the defeat of their enemy would appeal to their burning hearts now. They only wished to stomp past the enemies and reach the Sin City Warp Portal using everyst drop of their energy!

    However, a shriek suddenly came from the air above.


    Schwaff!!


    The mind tingling sound of a bow and a flying arrow came from a near distance and vibrated the Elements in the air. A loud and clear “pop” stopped everyone’s heartbeat for half a second.


    Many from the Angel Faction side witnessed a rather obscure scene.


    In the air about ten meters away, a winged Bowmaster was pursuing a winged Berserker—a winged Demon Faction Berserker.


    What surprised the onlookers the most was the initially invisible arrows suddenly re-emerging right at the back of the Berserker...


    This was followed by a pitch-ck dark radiance!


    The arrow expanded into a flexible ck and ensnared the Berserker firmly.


    “Shadowmesh Arrow!” A few yers eximed.


    It was hard to believe that someone would use the million dor Shadowmesh Arrow against a yer from the same faction, especially when Demon Faction was in such dire moments of life and death.


    Most yers who saw the incident had only one thought, “The attacker was out of his or her mind.”


    Except for the few yers at the frontline, most Fallen Angels members who understood what had just happened immediately turned grim.

    After blending into the crowd near the Warp Portal and pouring out a drop of golden liquid, Qin Ruo acted casually and ascended into the air to distance himself away from the portal.


    As soon as the system notification informed him that the Warp Portal of Sin City had been temporarily jammed and numerous exmations were heard behind him, he immediately elerated toward the frontline.


    He prepared tond the final ambush andpletely dissolve the Demon Faction’s defense line so that his army could conquer the city square with the least hindrance as possible.


    But when he was about ten meters away from the Warp Portal, a rare sense of danger suddenly startled his mind.


    He activated his Elemental Perception and soon realized the danger came from a winged Bowmaster who was following him closely in the air, more so from a tail of ck light that had just vanished from the pursuer’s bowstring!
