“I’m d you feel that way towards the Dwarves. No wonder why the Dwarves still trust the Fairies so much, even after 10,000 years,” Yun Meng Xin said. Things were going much smoother than she had expected. Many of the things that she had prepared to say in case things went sour werepletely unnecessary.
“So where is the Dwarf n? Have they alreadye out of hiding?” Granny Witherwood asked.
“The Dwarves are currently residing in the east of the Forgotten Continent, and they have a powerful guardian protecting them. In order to leave, they must fulfil three requirements that their ancestors left for them. Tow of those requirements can be immediately fulfilled, but the other one requires your cooperation. The Dwarves are in a much worse situation than your Fairy n is in. Every day, they live in suffering, but cannot leave because of their ancestors’ requirements. They can only endure year after year, and you are the only ones who can save them. Chief Greenwood, would you be willing to visit the Dwarves with me, so that they can rejoin the Forgotten Continent?” Yun Meng Xin sincerely said.
Greenwood didn’t think much as he slowly nodded, “If it’s truly like that, I must go. Even if it’s not for us, but just for them, we should create a ce to live. However, before that, youngdy, I have a question for you.”
“Please go ahead,” Yun Meng Xin replied as she smiled. She already knew what the question was.
Greenwood looked at her in the eyes as he said in a serious voice, “You rmended that my n should leave this ce, and rejoin the Forgotten Continent. You thought of every step, and even brought up our friends who had gone into hiding, the Dwarves... you’ve put a lot of thought into this, into every tiny detail. I want to know what your goal is in doing this. More directly, what do you hope to gain from this? I’m sure you’re not doing this purely out of the kindness of your heart.”
Greenwood’s question was something that Granny Witherwood and the 10 elders were all thinking. After Greenwood asked, they all looked at Yun Meng Xin.
Yun Meng Xin smiled, and spoke with an air of confidence, “Of course, I’m not that selfless. I came here today to fulfil one of my own wishes. What I hope to gain is very simple... I hope that Ling Tian will be the Lord of the city you build!”
The Fairies fell silent.
“Your barrier was destroyed by Ling Tian, and the Dwarves were found by Ling Tian. Moreover, only Ling Tian can fulfil the other 2 requirements for the Dwarves to leave. Furthermore, constructing a city, even if it’s a little city, will require an enormous amount of resources. No matter if it is the Dwarf n or the Fairy n, none of you have these resources- only by relying on Ling Tian will the city be built. As such, since the city would be built because of him, and it was him who brought your ns out of hiding, I’m sure you would agree that it is only proper that Ling Tian should be the Lord of the city.
Furthermore, the Lord or Lady of the city is just a title. The true owners of the city will not only be Ling Tian, but also your n and the Dwarf n. After all, the city will be your home, so you will naturally own the city as well. What I want is the title of the Lord of the city. This title is very important to us yers, and we promise that we won’t use it to bully or oppress your ns. That being said, we don’t have the power to do that, and neither do we have any reason to do so. We won’t interfere with your n matters either. If something big happens, we’ll ask for your cooperation and coboration before taking any action. If you don’t trust us, we can sign a contract...”
“Haha, there’s no need for that,” Granny Witherwood cut Yun Meng Xin off as she smiled warmly, “Ling Tian is the saviour of our n, and we couldn’t do much to repay him. After this city is built, we will owe him even more. We were all worried about not being able to express our gratitutde; I’m sure the Dwarves feel the same way. As such, we will not oppose Ling Tian being the Lord of the city. We will even follow hismands for the well-being of the city.”
Yun Meng Xin was finally able to rx, and gave a beautiful smile.
“Greenwood, go with her and visit the Dwarves. Who would have thought that we would finally be able to meet again after 10,000 years,” Granny Witherwood said as she sighed. ................................................
Nameless Ridge.
Ling Tian had given the failed Spatial Orbs to Yun Meng Xin, and both she and Fairy Chief Greenwood used 1 each, allowing them to directly teleport into the Dwarves’ territory.
The Mountain Giant seemed to detect something, resulting in the mountain shaking, but the shaking then immediately died down.
The Dwarves’ homes were incredibly beautiful... but the surrounding environment was incredibly in and barren. The Dwarves were all short and skinny, and looked like strengthless skeletons.
“These people are Dwarves? But... the Dwarves in our n records are all tall and well-built,” Greenwood said as he stared at the Dwarves, unable to believe his eyes.
“It’s because of theck of food,” Yun Meng Xin replied, “Theck of food had made it difficult for their n to even survive. Every day, many Dwarves died of starvation- how could they possibly have buff and well-built bodies?”
Greenwood was speechless.
“Are... Are you humans? No, no... are you... a goddess? Has the Moon God ne to save us?”
Yun Meng Xin and Greenwood were immediately discovered. The Dwarves were shocked, but upon seeing Yun Meng Xin’s face, they truly believed that a goddess from the Moon God n had appeared... because only goddesses would be befitting of such beauty.
Greenwood didn’t know whether tough or to cry.
Yun Meng Xin went up and said in a gentle voice, “Hello, we’re Ling Tian’s friends. Ling Tian asked me to bring you some things, so could you please take us to your Chief?”
“Ling Tian? Did you say Ling Tian?”
Hearing the name Ling Tian, every Dwarf’s eyes were filled with shock, then burned with passion. Their caution and alertness immediately disappeared, “If you’re Ling Tian’s friends, then you’re our esteemed guests. Please wait, we’ll immediately notify our Chief!”
As if the name ‘Ling Tian’ filled their bodies with strength, two of the Dwarves sprinted off. Not too long after, Dwarf Chief Dilo and Elder Dita hurriedly came running over, with arge crowd following behind them.
After eating the tbread Ling Tian had brought, their days had be even worse... after all, they could no longer eat the ‘food’ that they were used to. Every day, they hoped that Ling Tian would once again appear and bring tbread. Now that they heard that Ling Tian’s friend was here, the news spread like wildfire, and many Dwarves immediately rushed over.
Seeing Yun Meng Xin, Dwarf Chief Dilo’s eyes widened, and stood there, unable to say anything... the Dwarves were all dark-skinned and skinny, and had never seen a beautiful woman like Yun Meng Xin before. Seeing Yun Meng Xin almost caused their souls to fly away. The Dwarves’ reactions were even more pronounced than when they had first seen the legendary tbread. Their mouths hung wide open and their eyes were erged. The Dwarves were simply unable to look away. Even Greenwood, who had an air of power and majesty around him, waspletely overshadowed by Yun Meng Xin’s iparable beauty.
“Goddess... goddess...” Dwarf Chief Dilo muttered as drool began to flow out of the corner of his mouth. Even the Chief was like this, let alone the younger Dwarves. However, Dilo hadn’t lived hundreds of years for nothing. He suddenly shook his head, and came back to his senses. He wiped away his drool with a lightning-fast speed, and his expression became incredibly serious as he said, “Wee, friends from the outside world. I am the Dwarf Chief Dilo. I heard that you are Ling Tian’s friends. Did he ask you to bring something?”
No less than expected from the Dwarf Chief. The speed at which his attitude changed and his shamelessness were at least Mysterious God grade! Yun Meng Xin went forwards and said courteously, “Greetings, Chief Dilo. Indeed, Ling Tian asked us to bring something over.”
“Really?” Dwarf Chief Dilo was so excited that his hands began to shake and his eyes became red. He swallowed his saliva as he asked, “What is it? Is it tbread? Quickly... take it out quickly!” Hearing the word ‘tbread’, all of the Dwarves leaned forward as their bodies trembled in anticipation and their mouths overflowed with saliva.
Yun Meng Xin smiled. Her smile caused some of the less-resistant Dwarves to faint, “What I brought isn’t tbread, but they are the things that can allow the Dwarf n to leave this ce.”
“What are they?” Dwarf Chief Dilo asked as he stared. He almost doubted what he had just heard.
Yun Meng Xin didn’t say anything as she stretched out her right hand, and a tightly bound paper scroll appeared, which she handed to Dwarf Chief Dilo.
Dwarf Chief Dilo received the scroll with a look of confusion. The instant he opened it and looked at its contents, his entire body froze. His eyes became so wide that they looked like they were going to pop out while all of the hairs on his body stood on end. His hands, which were holding the scroll, trembled monstrously, “This... This... This is... the blueprint... for the Underworld God Cannon!!”
Dwarf Chief Dilo roared out in excitement, and all of the Dwarves at the scene felt as if they were struck by lightning, unable to believe their ears.
“W-What did you say?!” Elder Dita jumped up in shock as he snatched the scroll over with a ‘whoosh’. He looked over it, and his hands also began to shake as he cried out, “It really is the blueprint for creating the Underworld God Cannon! It’s the blueprint our ancestors left behind!”
The Dwarves all started to scream and cheer in celebration.
Those who weren’t of the Dwarf n were unable to understand just how much this blueprint meant to them. All of them started to yell madly as they charged up, wanting to see the blueprint.
The Dwarves all went crazy, and Yun Meng Xin calmly took out another item... it was a jet ck, ordinary-looking pan. She also handed it to Dilo as she said, “Ling Tian told me to give you this pan as well. Only your n can make the most of it.”
Dwarf Chief Dilo, who was just about to snatch the scroll back from Elder Dita, suddenly froze as he touched the pan. He ignored Dita as he almost pressed the pan against his face as his facial muscles twitched. His voice trembled as he stuttered, “H-H-H-Handsome Pan!”
