    “Halt, human! You are not weed here!”


    A Mermaid Guardian on a crab mount stood in Li Yi’s way.


    Li Yi threw 100 Gold Coins, and it went immediately away.


    Every time a yer visited the Mend, they would run into this guy. If theycked the strength to kill it, the only alternative to get past unharmed was to bribe.


    Li Yi rode the tortoise and it did not take long before he started seeing the exquisite cerulean waters.


    “Chaha! Chaha! Chahai!”


    “Chacha! Chaku!”


    Before he got close, he heard a grating noiseing from the front. This was not a mermaid’s voice, but a Naga’s.


    Tens of thousands of Nagas surrounded a little vige. They were armed and raised them their weapons high from time to time while making a few rasping screams.


    The first individual that crossed his mind was Fernando the Siren.


    Before the Mermaid Princess, Freya became Li Yi’s mount, she was Fernando the Siren’s fiancée. She despised the marriage and would soon escape to the Water World. This story was what had prompted Li Yi to fish her up.


    Now that Freya was brought back by her mother, would the marriage proceed?


    Looking at the tens of thousands of elite Nagas, Li Yi’s mind cleared up.


    The queen took the princess and triggered the plot. Damn it! The marriage should have taken ce after the series of Sea God’s Pce Dungeons. How did the timeline mess up?


    Indeed, no one had caught the Mermaid Princess in his past life, and the marriage would only happen after themencement of the Sea God’s Pce Dungeon. This event was ahead of its time, and such changes were obviously rted to Li Yi.


    Thinking about this, Li Yi rode his tortoise slowly around the vige.


    Although his reputation among Nagas had already reached the level of ‘Worship’, this was not the Sea God’s Pce. In fact, all the names above them were red, which meant they were hostiles.


    As such, one could simply kill them, but there were too many Naga sea monsters here, and they were all level 90 elite monsters. If one would want to force through, a single person’s power would be insufficient.


    Behind the vige, there were corals of seven colors, along with a secret road leading to the inside of the Mend. Only ten Naga monsters were guarding it. With Li Yi’s current strength, they could be defeated quite effortlessly.


    Without shedding blood, Li Yi came within the vicinity of the kaleidoscopic corals. He entered the secret road, preparing for battle. The scene before his eyes struck him as odd.


    The bodies of the ten Naga elites floated in the middle of the secret path. They had been dead for some time.


    A red-named monster would never die for no reason. There were only two possibilities to exin their deaths, either an event had triggered, or a yer had interfered.


    The ten of them, who were responsible for guarding the secret entrance, had no events that were associated with them. There was only one possibility; someone had killed them.


    Had somebodye here?


    Li Yi was surprised.


    With the strength of the current yers, it was not easy to enter the Mend safely. Li Yi wasted three precious Holy Light Talismans and repeatedly sacrificed his Ghost Crab to get through. It took him two days.


    Li Yi activated God Mode and tried to discern the situation. Unfortunately, there were no yellow dots on the small map, no sign of any yers. There were only countless red dots, which were the Naga monsters.


    Had someone entered the Mend?


    Li Yi thought about it for a moment before summoning his tortoise to swim further into the path.


    Li Yi kept his God Mode activated as he wandered along the path until he arrived in the Mend. A yellow dot finally appeared on his minimap.


    Position slightly to the east, bearing the coordinates; [52441111:12211111.]


    The Mend was tranquil. No monsters in sight. Fernando the Siren had personally forbidden his men to enter the Mend to prevent upsetting the peace.


    Li Yi quickly approached the yellow dot. He was very curious. Other than him, who else coulde here currently?


    To avoid being exposed, Li Yi morphed into a Ghost Crab and quickly ran towards the yellow dot.


    The Ghost Crab was an aquatic creature. Its speed underwater was not too shabby. Soon, Li Yi saw who the yellow dot was. It was a Human Female Archer.


    She was d in a bare midriff chest armor and a leopard-print leather skirt, with a delicate short bow in her hand. She was petite, stunning and had a familiar face.


    Her name was Princess Huaiyu.


    Li Yi took a moment and Camouged himself before his transformation ended.


    Li Yi had not expected to see her here. She should be leveling with the help of a band of ‘good guys’.


    How had shee here? With her strength, it was doubtful she could pass the territories of the Golden Arrowfish and the Spirit Fish.


    While Li Yi was contemting, another yellow dot appeared on the minimap. A Human Warrior rode a seal mount and swam towards Princess Huaiyu.


    “Yu’er, the quest isplete, let’s head to the pce of the Mermaid Queen.” the Human Warrior grinned.


    “Thank you, Fifth Brother...” Princess Huaiyu thanked with a coquettish demeanor.


    By Jove, isn’t that Tyrant Sword King the Fifth?


    Li Yi was dazed by the appearance of the Human Warrior.


    Tyrant Sword King the Fifth was unaware of Li Yi’s presence. He grabbed Princess Huaiyu’s hand and they rode the seal together towards the pce.


    How did they get together?


    Li Yi was dumbstruck.


    Although Li Yi was used to the hypocrisy of Tyrant Sword King the Fifth, he had always been ‘pure’. He had never heard of him being involved in any scandals.


    Had he been acting all along?


    Li Yi summoned his tortoise and quietly tailed the duo.


    Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and Princess Huaiyu were touching each other on the mount and giggling. Their actions hinted at a rtionship that was beyond friends.


    The former was no doubt problematic.


    At the pce entrance, they embraced each other for a long time.


    “Yu’er, promise me that you’ll do what I asked.”


    “Don’t mention it, I am yours in entirety, your business is my business.”


    Li Yi hid in the dark to eavesdrop on their conversation. Disgusted, his skin was bursting with goosebumps.


    He was at a loss for words by the next thing he uttered.


    “Damn that Dark Wing kid. Yu’er, I am forced to do this...”


    “Rest assured Fifth Brother, it will be done.”


    The two voices were getting lower. They talked as they kissed. The rest was a blur.


    Are they talking about me?


    Li Yi only recalled something after they entered the pce.


    He went to the apothecary, spent 3 Gold Coins, bought a bottle of the rare potion Heart of a Mermaid, and drank it.


    Li Yi turned into an obnoxious nude merman.


    That potion could turn one into a mermaid for three days, and it was only avable after one reached the reputation of ‘Worship’ with the mermaids.


    Li Yi became a merman and swam to the pce.


    His underwater movement speed did not change. The potion’s purpose was only to shapeshift, not to buff.


    In the main chamber, Fernando and the Queen were carefully listening to the audience of Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and Princess Huaiyu.


    “Human, congrattions on passing my test. From now on, the Naga will regard you as an ally,” Fernando dered.


    Two golden lights rose from Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and Princess Huaiyu, and they leveled up at the same time.


    “My union with Freya will soon be held. I am worried that conniving rogues wille to disrupt the wedding. My brave allies, are you able to lend me your most noble assistance? Together, with many Naga warriors, we will protect this ce.”


    “I am willing!” Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and Princess Huaiyu nodded at the same time.


    Li Yi became the witness as he swam into the chamber. Then he understood what quest they just epted.


    The Epic Quest, ‘The Protector of Naga’.


    In this game, yers could choose to have a good rtionship with any NPC factions. When the rtionship was officially established, yers would obtain many benefits from the faction. For example, Li Yi had the privilege of entering the Tuhr n’s Altar.


    The Epic Quest ‘The Protector of Naga’ only allowed yers with ‘Intimate’ reputation to take it. Li Yi hadpleted it in his past life. The objective was very clear, and it was to do as many favorable things as possible for the Naga people. In other words, to work for the Naga and work hard to improve their rtionship with the Naga.


    Once the quest waspleted, the reputation of the yer with the Naga would be ‘Worship’. From then on, the yer could freely enter and exit the sphere of influence of the Naga faction and enjoy many benefits.


    Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and Princess Huaiyu retired. The Queen, who had hitherto remained silent, suddenly spoke, “You there, have I seen you before?”


    Li Yi was nonplussed, and before he knew it, he was already swimming towards the Queen.
