Li Yi was extremely confident that the rankings would be different from his previous life.
In his past life, The Mountain ranked second, Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut came in third, Amber Sword Heart, ck Wing, and Jiggly were within the top ten in the God Wars Ranking Tournament, and Li Yi was nobody who struggled to grab a spot in the top 40.
At that time, Li Yi was far worse than them.
But now, the tables had turned.
In the God Wars Ranking Tournament, the first enemy to face was neither a yer nor a monster, but a wooden dummy.
The rule was, the higher the damage dealt to the dummy in one hit, the higher the score.
Due to different the sses, the wooden dummies were divided into three categories, the first one, the DPS dummy, the second, the MT dummies, and the third were the healer dummies.
There was nothing much to say about the DPS dummy. As usual, use abo on it. As long as thebo continues, the yer can hit endlessly. Once thebo ends, the system will calcte the total damage from the attack.
The MT dummies were wood dummies customized for main tanks. There would be a total of 20 wood dummies from all possible sses. What the main tank had to do was survive. Whoever survived the longest would score the highest. Of course, if one can kill all 20, the score would be even higher.
The healer dummies were specially designed for the healer ss. There were also 20 wood dummies that would randomly lose HP. The healer would be required to treat them and prevent them from dying. Simrly, whoeversts for the longest time would score the highest.
The three rules were very fair and included all three types of yer sses.
As the Tournament had begun, many yers who were attempting the Wings of the Sky dungeons rushed to Mount Pantheon and signed up for the battle.
Li Yi also went there as soon as he could. He had been waiting for this day for a long time!
The God Wars Ranking Tournament and the Arena had several rules inmon. For example, yers can choose to not disclose their names, but they could not hide their ss and score. The Tournament was exactly the same.
When Li Yi arrived, there were already no fewer than a million people challenging the wooden dummies.
The best results at the moment were;
[The record for the DPS dummy challenge was created by an anonymous Cyclone Thief, who did a 21-hitbo, dealing 2616251 damage in total.]
[The record for the MT dummies challenge was created by Amber Sword Heart who survived for 5 minutes and 16 seconds and destroyed a wood dummy.]
[The record for the healer dummies challenge was created by Nirvana Inaction whosted for 4 minutes and 11 seconds.]
Li Yi read the results and spoke to Jewelfina.
“Enter the challenge now?”
“Yes!”
“Woosh—”
In the blink of an eye, Li Yi was transferred to the field.
After being transferred to the venue, Li Yi’s equipment was forcibly changed. His Hall of Fame set was removed and returned to his backpack, and all his equipment turned grey. They could not be used for the time being. For now, he could only use the temporary equipment given by the system.
This was true for all participants.
If a yer spent 1 Silver Coin, he could challenge it once. If he failed, he could return indefinitely as long as he had the Silver Coins. As the yer scored, the results would be automatically uploaded to the World Rankings.
Li Yi pulled the string of the crappy Purple Quality Bow given by the system a few times and shot several arrows. He had not paid for the challenge yet. He utilized the free training to familiarize himself with the bow.
“Wham! Wham!”
[-5678]
[-6778]
[-5567]
[-4567]
Looking at the low damage numbers, Li Yi could not help but shake his head. The fair equipment system of the God Wars Ranking Tournament had both advantages and disadvantages. It is a good thing for ordinary yers, but it was quite damaging to him.
If he used a brilliant Orange Quality Bow and fired an arrow, the damage would be at least 500,000, but now he could only deal roughly 5000+.
“Wham! Wham!”
Li Yi continued to familiarize himself.
On the God Wars Rankings, the results of the wooden dummy challenge had been changing. In the past ten minutes, the ranking had seen new updates.
[The record for the DPS dummy challenge was created by an anonymous Violent Warrior, who did a 9-hitbo, dealing 2722250 damage in total.]
[The record for the MT dummies challenge was created by Unending Unmatched whosted 6 minutes and 26 seconds and destroyed a wood dummy.]
The record for the healer dummies challenge was created by Ah Ye whosted for 5 minutes and 13 seconds.]
The three yers on the top of the previous list all went down.
As new records were achieved, more challengers appeared. The scores were not umted, and whoever scored well would be at the top.
“Wham! Wham!”
Another ten minutes and new records were set. Li Yi remained calm and continued his practice.
He was too used to his Orange Quality Bow and felt ufortable using an ordinary bow.
After practicing for another five minutes, Li Yi nodded with satisfaction and waved to summon Dolly.
Pets were the assistants of Archers. Without their pet, the archers’ strength would be greatly reduced.
Fortunately, Dolly was not restricted by the list, otherwise, Li Yi would have taken longer to practice.
Each ss had dozens of skills. The way in which one wouldbine different skills to form abo was the best way to distinguish between rookies and masters.
“Wham! Wham!”
Li Yi attacked, his Meteor Arrows causing two hits. He then used Repelling Shot to prompt a hit recovery.
Dolly did not shoot. She held on to her small bow and kept staring at the dummy. Li Yi’s order for her was to protect her master. She was obedient and had not fired a shot without permission.
“Wham! Wham!”
After another two Meteor Arrows, Li Yi carried on with another Resounding Shot, then pulled the bowstring to charge a Powered-up Arrow.
The few shots fired earlier had flooded his hit recovery bar, and now Li Yi had enough time to fire aplete Powered-up Arrow.
“Psh—”
The Powered-up Arrow prated the dummy and it immediately fell backward.
With inertia, he could continue hisbo with any skill.
“Stinger Arrow!”
“Meteor Arrow!”
“Dolly, Overkill Arrow!”
Li Yi hollered. After waiting for a long time, a star erupted on top of Dolly’s head, and an Overkill Arrow was abruptly fired.
Without nning, including a pet’s attacks would only interrupt thebo. The best way was to find out the skill interval. Attack during a hit recovery or inertia.
“Whack!”
Dolly’s Overkill Arrow blew up on the dummy and caused a ray of light, and Li Yi seized that one-second opportunity to make a Crippling Shot.
This arrow was vital. If it hit, thebo could continue. If it did not, thebo would end.
“Whack!”
Another arrow burst on impact, and the dummy fell back again.
“Meteor Arrow! Repelling Arrow! Meteor Arrow!”
As thebo increased, the hit recovery bar of the target would also reduce. As such, even if the yer knew how to perform an infinitebo, it was impossible to continue thebo until death. When the limit was reached, the target would recover from the hit and naturally, thebo would end.
“True Overlord Arrow!”
By observing its hit recovery, Li Yi knew that this was the highestbo he could do, and finally ended it with a True Overlord Arrow.
“Squeak!”
Dolly also fired some Chain Arrows. Unfortunately, her attack did not add to thebo total.
Archer, 15-hitbo!
Red damage numbers floated above the dummy.
[-2478990]
The results appeared and were automatically uploaded to the leaderboard. Li Yi ranked 27th in the DPS rankings.
His first attempt did not surpass the current record-holder.
Li Yi’s brows furrowed. He looked down with deep thought.
The base damage of an Archer was too low. The 2.4 million damage earlier was partly due to Dolly’s endeavors.
The only way to increase the damage was to increase thebo total. The higher thebo total, the higher the skill damage.
“Again!”
Li Yi thought for a while and paid another Silver Coin for a second attempt.
“Wham! Wham!”
His starting skill was still Meteor Arrow.
If he only used Meteor Arrow, Li Yi could do seven-to-ten-hitbos, but it was unnecessary. If he used Meteor Arrow continuously, his mana would be consumed at a greater rate, and its damage would be reduced.
Only through different skillbinations could the damage be further increased and using only a single skill would do nothing but waste his mana.
Li Yi’s third strike was still a Repelling Shot, but this time, he ordered Dolly to fire an Overkill Arrow.
“Bam!”
The Overkill Arrow hit the dummy, and Li Yi observed that the dummy simply swung back slightly, which signified that the attack was not very effective.
“Resounding Shot!”
Li Yi used another skill to cause a stagger. Uponnding a hit, the dummy obviously leaned back even further.
“Wham! Wham!”
Li Yi seized the opportunity to fire another two Meteor Arrows, after which he maintained a horse stance to charge a Powered-up Arrow.
“Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham!”
Li Yi did not stop firing and finally ended thebo with a True Overlord Arrow.
He really wanted to add a Chrono Stinger Arrow into hisbo. Unfortunately, he would be required to charge Territory Power before using a Territory Skill which would use up a lot of time. Also, the wood dummy was a dead thing, meaning that it could not be knocked into the air. This meant that he could not use many of his strongest skills.
It would be perfect if he had his Orange Quality Bow with him. He could simply fire a Shooting Star Arrow Hail and thebo would be at least 10,000 hits.
In the final stage, Dolly once again used the Chain Arrow Skill. This time it was fortunate enough to be included into hisbo.
19-hitbo!
[-2888611]
As a line of red damage numbers materialized, Li Yi conquered the rankings!
It was a sess!
Li Yi came in first in the DPS rankings in his second attempt.
“2.8 million, close to 2.9 million. This is far worse than the 5.91 million damage in my past life...”
Li Yi muttered to himself, although he emerged on top, he was calm.
His current score was far lower whenpared with the highest record of the DPS rankings in his previous life.
Li Yi once again paid 1 Silver Coin and chose to continue the challenge.
Although he was currently at the top of the rankings, who knew how long it wouldst? Only through continuous improvement could he firmly upy the seat of the champion.
Li Yi went on several attempts and the final results were very good, but still, he did not break the 2.88 million record he had previously created.
After another failure. He checked the rankings again and it gave him further motivation.
[The record for the DPS dummy challenge was created by Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut, who did a 36-hitbo, dealing 3676654 damage in total.]
