    Ste found his usation almost amusing in its absurdity.


    “I’m not alone with Sanford.


    My mother is there, and we’re in a public space.


    What exactly are you worried about?”


    She looked him up and down before continuing with bitter sarcasm, “Or do you think I’m the kind of person who would betray our marriage? Just because you lost your memory, does that mean you also doubt my character?”


    Her voice trembled, her wordsden with the pain she could no longer contain.


    The more she questioned, the deeper her sorrow grew.


    Her eyes, brimming with unshed tears, locked on Matthew, blurring her vision with a mix of frustration and grief.
