Chapter 323

"Mom, are you picking on Rose again? I knew nothing good woulde out of her being with you! Did you make her do all your work? And she did it the entire night! Why are you being like this? Does it make you d to be a wicked mother-inw?"

Sydney remained calm in the face of her son''s usations.

"What do you mean, wicked mother-inw? Just listen to yourself. She''s my daughter now. Can''t I teach my own daughter a thing or two? She''s been going through my documents since yesterday afternoon, and didn''t get a winkst night. I''m very proud of my daughter for being so resilient and hardworking."

"You''re doing this on purpose. I''m heading over right now. Stop bullying her!"

"Why are youing over? Do you want to blow things up and get Rosalie caught in the middle and feel bad about it?"

Theodore said coldly, "Should I continue allowing you to harass her, then? I''m going to take her away from you!"

"How do you know that she''s not doing it willingly? She was the one who asked for the documents. Ask her yourself if you don''t believe me. Quit thinking that I''m the one bullying her. You didn''t see it for yourself, but I even made dinner for herst night."

Sydney toyed with her fingernails, her tone bitter and jealous.N?vel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive ? material.

"Oh, is that so? In that case, you helped her and made her stay up the entire night. Her body is in such a weak condition, what if she falls ill? Can you bear the responsibility of that happening?"

"Why can''t I?!" Sydney''s brows furrowed as anger rose in her chest. "If she falls ill, I''ll take care of her and spend money to treat her. Just look at how concerned you sound! People might think she''s still your wife!"

"You..." Theodore was burning with rage.

"I''m going to have breakfast, I''m hanging up. If you want toe, hurry up. We can have a good fight and let your ex-wife see how our rtionship has deteriorated once again. That''ll definitely sadden her, since she tried so hard to improve our rtionship."

Sydney sighed as she hung up.

She was in a good mood as she hummed a song and walked into the kitchen with an apple in hand, getting ready to prepare breakfast.

The day was getting more and more interesting.

Rosalie rubbed her eyes, and nced at the time on her phone.

''Goodness!'' she thought. It was already seven in the morning.

She feltpletely exhausted; she yawned, and nced at the box. There was just onest document inside—she was almost done.

Rosalie stretched her arms and cheered herself on as she pulled out the final document from the box.

Just then, her phone suddenly rang.

    Rosalie ignored it.

However, her phone kept ringing, call after call.

    Rosalie was annoyed, and reached

    out to

at the screen. She. set it

on loudspeaker mode without even checking to see who it was "Hello."

    "Rose, it''s me."

Rosalie finally nced at her screen. "What''s up?”

She waspletely unperturbed at the realization that it was Theodore calling.

"Did my mom bully you? What did

    she make

    you do? You didn''t sleep

the entire night! Didn''t you tell me

last night that you were going to bed?"

Theodore was scolding her in the gentlest way possible.

"I''m just going through some documents. Your mom didn''t do anything to me, so don''t misunderstand.”

    Theodore heard how raspy Rosalie''s

voice sounded, and said anxiously, "Don''t try to defend her. She picked on you! Why would you stay up the entire night otherwise? I''ll bet she gave you all her work to do

"She really didn''t," Rosalie said, tired and annoyed. "I still have some documents to go through. We''ll talk moreter, bye."
