"You guessed it right. I think it''s fun." The man chuckled, and gripped her chin. He was wearing ck gloves. "Close your eyes." "What are you going to do?"
The more he demanded she closed her eyes, the more afraid she became. She was scared of what he might do once they were shut.
He seemed to read her mind. "If I wanted to do something to you, would keeping your eyes open make any difference? Be a good girl and follow my instructions."
He cupped her face with both hands, and squeezed it hard. "Be careful of the little bastard in your belly."
His tone was exceptionally gentle, but every word carried an unparalleled cruelty. Rosalie could onlyply and closed her eyes.
The man released her face.
Suddenly, Rosalie felt a cloth being ced over her eyes.
After blindfolding her, the man grabbed her arm and led her out of the room.
Rosalie had no idea where he was taking her. She only knew she had climbed into a car. She couldn''t tell how long they drove. She had lost all sense of time.
Later, she was pulled out of the car.
The man hoisted her over his shoulder and took her somewhere, where she was then tied to a metal pole.
Rosalie knew that saying anything would be useless. If the man didn''t want to talk, asking him questions was pointless. She would rather conserve her energy.
After tying her up, the man left.
After a while, Rosalie suddenly heard a woman''s voice pleading, "I did everything you asked. Please, let me go!"Published by N?v''elD/rama.Org.
Rosalie was shocked by the voice. Wasn''t that La''s voice?
She felt the voice was close, possibly just in the next room. There was a thud as something fell to the ground, followed by the woman''s scream.
Rosalie''s heart trembled.
"Please, spare me! I did everything you told me to do! You promised!" La pleaded, kneeling on the ground.
"I promised you what?" the man asked coldly.
La cried, "You promised that if I followed your orders, y-you would let me go."
Hearing this, Rosalie found it strange. Could her kidnapping be something La had been instructed to arrange by this man?
The manughed. "Why are you people so stupid? Just because someone promises you something does that mean they''ll keep their word? Since when did humans keep their promises? Aren''t we allo hypocrites?"
La became agitated. "But you promised me! Are you going back on your word?"
"You want me to keep my word?" The man scoffed, as if he had heard a joke. "Are you serious? Is your brain working? Are you mentally stable?"
There was a loud thud as the man kicked her. He then pressed his foot down on her shoulder.
"Ah!" La screamed in pain.
Hearing this, Rosalie was even more puzzled. If this man hadn''t instructed La to have her kidnapped, then what had she done ording to his orders?
Rosalie heard the sound of repeated thuds and La''s cries of pain. It was clear the man was beating her.
So far, he had killed the kidnappers and tortured her aunt. He hadn''tid a hand on her yet, but she couldn''t be sure he wouldn''t suddenly turn on her. There was no logic or pattern to a madman''s actions.
