"Are you correcting what I''m saying?" The man was displeased. "I don''t like others correcting me, because I''m always right." Sebastian was about to retort when Theodore turned and said, "Stop it. Rose is still in his hands. Can we please stay calm?"
"You..." Sebastian was unwilling; upon reflection, if he argued with Theodore here, it would only validate Theodore''s point. So, he had to swallow his anger for now.
He turned to look at the speaker, which had a microphone on top. Speaking into the microphone, he asked, "Where''s Rose?"
"Unlock the tablet."
Theodore immediately unlocked the tablet. On the screen was a y button. He clicked it, and the tablet showed a video of Rosalie tied to a pole. There was a lot of blood on the ground.
Seeing this, both men''s emotions instantly unraveled.
"Damn it! What have you done to her?" Sebastian shouted.
"What can I do? Just what you see," the man replied slowly and unhurriedly, in stark contrast to Sebastian''s fury. This belongs ? N?velDra/ma.Org.
Sebastian''s eyes turned red. He clenched his fists, and took a deep breath. "Didn''t you say you wanted to y a game? Tell me what game you want to y, and I''ll y it with you. Just let Rose go."
"I''ve suddenly lost interest in ying games. Watching you two worry about your woman like this is quite satisfying."
"You''re mad!" Theodore said through gritted teeth.
"If you know I''m mad, then don''t be surprised. How about we sit and chat for a while?"
"What exactly do you want?" Sebastian said.
"I want to chat," the man said. "So, let''s stay calm and not argue. Talk to me for a bit, and if I''m in a good mood, maybe I''ll release Rosalie." "What do you want to talk about?" Theodore asked.
The man thought for a moment, then said, "Mr. Spencer, as an only child, you must be quite pleased, with the whole family revolving around you." Theodore thought back to his past. He had an unhappy childhood; his parents had a poor rtionship, and he was often neglected.
He was lonely—until the day Rosalie entered his life. It felt like she filled a gap in his heart, making him feelplete.
However, as time went on, he
gradually grew ustomed to this sense ofpleteness. Like air, he took it for granted until he didn''t have it anymore, at which point it suffocated him.
One shouldn''t take anything in this world for granted. Rosalie''s presence in his life was never something to be assumed. Noticing Theodore''s silence, the man pressed, "Why aren''t you speaking?"
"I''m an only child, but..."
"Enough with the ''but''," the man interrupted him. "I changed my mind.
don''t want to listen to
you
are. Mr. Carter, tell me about your childhood."
Sebastian was taken aback. A glimmer of light shed in his eyes as he calmly said, "I have amnesia. I don''t remember anything from the past, not even my childhood Ask me something else."
"Oh, right, you have amnesia." The man seemed to suddenly recall. "I almost forgot."
Suddenly, a man appeared on the screen, approaching Rosalie.
Theodore and Sebastian''s faces were ten times more serious than before.
"What are you trying to do?" Theodore asked urgently. "Don''t touch her."
The man in the video reached out toward Rosalie.
Suddenly, the screen went ck, and nothing was visible on the tablet. Theodore took the tablet and tapped on it furiously, but it remained pitch ck.
"What the hell do you want?" Theodore shouted into the microphone.
