"Rose, you''re awake. How do you feel?" Vonnie said.
When Rosalie opened her eyes, her mind was aplete nk. She looked like she was in a daze; when she turned to see the person seated by her bedside, she seemed to have forgotten who it was.
She didn''t seem to recognize anyone, and finally snapped back to reality after a long time.
"You''re...you''re..."
Hearing Rosalie stutter through her confusion, Yvonne felt worried. "Rose, do you not remember me?"
Did she lose her memories like Sebastian did?
Rosalie immediately sat up on the bed and looked around anxiously, as if looking for something.
"Theo... Where is Theo?"
The mention of his name made Yvonne furrow her brows. "He isn''t here."
"Then where is he?" Rosalie grabbed Yvonne''s shoulders. "Where''s Theo? I''ve got to find him. I must find him!"
She tried getting out of bed, anxious, but Yvonne pressed her back down. "Rose, don''t be like this. Calm down!"
"No, I''m going to find him!" Rosalie struggled with all her might. "Let me go, let me go!"
Yvonne raised her voice in a bid to calm Rosalie down. "Rose, don''t be like this. Are you just going to disregard the baby in your stomach?" Rosalie suddenly calmed down at Yvonne''s outburst. Fear filled her eyes. "What...what about all the blood on his body? How is he right now?" Rosalie looked down and clutched her chest, as if she were the one bleeding. She was in immense pain.
Seeing Rosalie in such a state, Yvonne saidfortingly, "You had a nightmare. It didn''t happen."
"No, it did happen. He did get injured. I caused him to get injured. I gave up on him. He was right, I did give up on him!" Rosalie sobbed miserably. "Don''t think this way just yet. We don''t have any news of him right now. No news is good news. It shows that he''s not dead yet."
"No news?" Rosalie became agitated once more. "Seb promised me that he''d help me find Theo. Why would there be no news? Where is Seb? Where is he?"
"Seb went out just now to attend to something."
He had contacted Yvonne, and asked her for help to take care of Rosalie.
At that time, Yvonne noticed how haggard Sebastian looked. She didn''t know why Sebastian chose not to take care of Rosalie himself at a time like this. He clearly cared for Rosalie the most, but he was leaving at a time when Rosalie needed him most. This belongs ? N?velDra/ma.Org.
Yvonne now understood that given how agitated Rose was right now, she would be even more agitated with Sebastian by her side.
"Where did he go? I''ll go find him. He promised me that he would help me find Theo. He promised me!"
"He will. He''s looking for Theo right now," Yvonne saidfortingly. "He went out precisely to help you find Theo. Rose, calm down first and don''t panic. Don''t forget that you have a baby in you right now You''ve got to think for the baby, right?"
"The baby..." Rosalie caressed her belly. "That''s right, there''s still my baby, but...but Theo doesn''t know about him. What should I do? I should have told him earlier."
"You''ll have the chance to tell him about the baby. Don''t panic, alright? Are you hungry? Have some food first."
"No, I''m not eating," Rosalie said while shaking her head profusely. "I can''t stomach anything right now."
"Even if you don''t have the appetite, you''ve got to think for the baby. You''re a good mother who cares so much for your baby. How could you bear to let the baby go hungry? Am I right?"
Rosalie wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and nodded. She had to first feed her and Theodore''s baby. She couldn''t let the baby suffer with her.
Yvonne helped Rosalie to the washroom. After Rosalie was done washing up, she helped Rosalie to the dining room.
The meal was already prepared, but Rosalie still had no appetite. In consideration of the baby, however, she forced herself to swallow some food. Yvonne stayed by her side, saying nothing further. Anything she said right now might trigger Rosalie.
Rosalie suddenly thought of something. "I need to make a call."”
She was about to stand up when Yvonne grabbed her. "You can make a call, but after you''ve finished your food."
"I''ll eat after I make the call."
“No, the food will turn cold by the time you''re done. Eat first before making the call. Listen to me, alright?”
Rosalie sat back down.
She swallowed her food in huge gulps to finish her meal quickly, and she was done in a jiffy.
This time, Yvonne didn''t stop her.
Rosalie ran to the phone, and dialed Reba''s number.
