Yvonne walked over, and said, "Rose is still unconscious. Keep herpany after you eat. If she wakes up and realizes that you refused to eat while keeping herpany, her heart would ache."
Sebastian sighed. "Alright."
After reminding the bodyguard to watch Rosalie closely, Sebastian left the ward and headed to the dining area.
Yvonne opened the boxes, and handed Sebastian some cutlery. "Seb, quick. Have some food."
Sebastian took the spoon, but had no desire whatsoever to eat.
Yvonne noticed that his cheeks were red and swollen and asked, "Seb, does your cheek still hurt? Do you need to see the doctor?"
Sebastian shook his head. "No need. It''ll get better on its own."
Yvonne sighed. "To think that something like this would happen. Do you think Dad will teach Sydney Harper a lesson?"
"I don''t know. They seem to know each other. The look in Dad''s eyes when he looks at her seems different," Sebastian said mildly. "Is that so? How is it different?"
Sebastian pondered for a moment. "I can''t really pinpoint how."
That look seemed to be filled with possessiveness.
"Alright, Seb. Quick, eat. If not, the food will turn cold."
Yvonne''s heart ached for Sebastian, knowing that the woman he loved turned out to be his cousin.
"I almost caused Rose''s death," Sebastian said as he gripped the spoon tight, his hands trembling. "She would definitely be fine if I had terminated the pregnancy, but I almost killed her for the sake of preserving her baby."
Although Sebastian''s wager was a sess, residual fear over his decision still shook him. Rosalie almost lost her life.
"Seb, I know you must be in deep pain right now, but none of this is your fault. You promised Rose, so it''s not your fault. Her mother-inw didn''t know about that, and attacked you because of her ignorance. But I know that you were thinking for Rose. You were simply keeping your word."
When Yvonne knew about what happened, shemented how deeply Sebastian loved Rosalie. This belongs to N?velDrama.Org: ?.
Otherwise he would have chosen to
terminate the pregnancy. That would protect the woman he loved. However, it was precisely because he loved her so deeply that he chose to keep his promise to her.
Yvonne wasn''t even sure what decision Theodore would make if he were in Sebastian''s shoes. Not everyone who loved was capable of letting go. Sebastian looked up, a smile breaking across his exhausted face. "Vonnie, thank you."
“Don''t be a stranger." Yvonne suddenly recalled Sebastian''s rtionship with Rosalie, and mncholy overwhelmed her. "Seb, do you still not remember the past?"
Sebastian nodded. "I don''t."
"Do you intend to live like this with Rose forever? As husband and wife?"
Yvonne didn''t know how to tell Sebastian that he and Rose were cousins. Rose was their uncle''s child.
Yvonne''s question made Sebastian furrow his brow. "Why are you asking that? Rose and I are husband and wife to begin with. What else could it be?"
"If one day, you realize that you two..."
"Vonnie," Sebastian cut her off,
“Rose and I are married. She
promised me that she wouldn''t
divorce me and that we''ll never bot
apart, no matter what. Even if the skies were to fall on us, we''ll never divorce each other. I don''t know what you want to say, nor do I want to hear it. Let''s just leave it, alright?"
He had a feeling Yvonne was going to say something that he didn''t like hearing. He felt very uneasy.
The look in Sebastian''s eyes made Yvonne''s heart fall. She nodded. "Got it. I won''t say anything more."
It was clear to her how deeply in love Sebastian was.
She thought that even if Sebastian were to know that Rose was his cousin, he might still not let go of her and things might be even worse.
