?
His phone suddenly rang.
Theodore''s hand shook when he heard the jingle sounding from his phone.
He sighed. He twisted the bottle cap close, and put it aside before picking up his phone.
Upon seeing the name disyed on the screen, he hesitated for a few seconds before answering the call.
"Hello."
"Hello, Mr. Spencer. I apologize for bothering you at such ate hour."
It was Aurora.
"It''s fine. What''s the matter?" Theodorey back down stiffly on the bed like a nk of wood. His voice was t and emotionless as he spoke.
"I... I do have something...I need your help for." Aurora''s voice was trembling slightly, tinged with fear.
Theodore''s brows furrowed. Sensing that something was amiss from her voice, he sat up on the bed and leaned against the headboard.
"What is it?"
Thest time he left his number with Aurora, he had told her that she could approach him if she needed help.
She never contacted him-until now.
He had almost forgotten about her, but now she was suddenly calling him, probably because she had really encountered some serious trouble.
"I... I don''t know how to put it. This has nothing to do with you. I shouldn''t have asked you for help. I''m sorry. I''m hanging up."
Before Aurora hung up, Theodore could hear someone pounding on a door over at her side.
"Hurry and open the door! Open the door!"
Theodore had a bad feeling about things. He immediately called Aurora back.
Very soon, she answered the call. "Hello, Mr. Spencer."
"What happened?"
"I..." Aurora stuttered hesitatingly.
"Quick, tell me!" Theodore urged her.
Aurora burst out crying, seemingly frightened. "Can you...can you please help me? I''m so scared!"
The pounding on the door on her end grew louder.
"I know you''re at home! You can''t hide from me! I''lle here every day! Open the door, right now!" "Are you in trouble?" Theodore asked.
"Yes, I am," Aurora confessed.
Theodore could hear a man''s incessant yelling over the phone.
"You should call the police," he said.
The police would reach her faster. It was abnormal for her to be calling him.
"You''re

"Wait," Theodore said.
"Mr. Spencer, is there anything else?" Aurora said in between sobs.
"Tell me your address, quick."
"No need, Mr. Spencer. You''re right. I should call the police."
"Your address," Theodore repeated himself.
Aurora wiped the tears from her face, and told him her address in a trembling voice.
In less than half an hour, Theodore arrived at Aurora''s home with two bodyguards in tow.
The police had alreadye, and were holding the man who was pounding on the door against the wall.
When Theodore arrived, one of the policemen greeted him. "You''re here, Mr. Spencer."
It was Theodore who called the
