Chapter 922

    ?

Rosalie gritted her teeth and tried to ovee the fear in her heart as she continued twisting the disinfected needle to clean the inside of the wound. Each move she made caused Vincent to grit his teeth in pain, but he refused to let a sound escape his lips.

His tolerance level was frighteningly high.

After this step was done, Vincent said, "Take another bottle of saline solution and some gauze. Use the saline solution to clean the wound before wiping it dry with the gauze.

Rosalie grabbed the first-aid kit anxiously and twisted the bottle of saline solution open with trembling hands.

She carefully poured the saline solution over the wound and then used the gauze to gently wipe the wound, cleaning out all the gunk while making sure to do it very gently and thoroughly.

As the wound was slowly cleansed, the pain ebbed away and Vincent''s breathing finally returned to normal.

He looked deeply at Rosalie, his eyes glinting like the stars in the night sky.

"Will this do? What else should I do next?" Rosalie asked.

She didn''t expect herself to even get this far.

Vincent said in a low voice, "That red bottle is an antibiotic cream. Apply it on the wound."

"Okay." Rosalie picked up the ointment and gently applied it to his wound. Her fingers were still trembling, but she was very careful not toe into direct contact with his wound for fear that she might hurt him.

Vincent reassured her, "Don''t worry, just apply it to the wound."

Rosalie gritted her teeth and boldly applied the cream on the wound as steadily as she could.

After everything was done, Rosalie heaved a sigh of relief.

She couldn''t believe she managed to do it. Despite her fear, everything went rather smoothly.

She was not suited to be a doctor. Given how easy it was for her hands to shake, it was highly likely she might end up killing a patient.

Vincent was an exception who was hardy enough.

Rosalie then pulled out a clean piece

of gauze and unfolded it before covering Vincent''s wound with it. That would protect his wound from getting infected and absorb excess blood or pus.

Rosalie fixed the gauze on the wound and wrapped it with just enough tension, not too tight or loose. She didn''t want to apply too much pressure on the wound when bandaging it up for fear of affecting its recovery.

He didn''t need to teach her this step.

After she was done, Rosalie put down the medical tools.

Vincent smiled faintly. "You did pretty well, didn''t you? Your hands shouldn''t tremble next time."

Rosalie gave him a half smile.

She didn''t want this to happen again next time.

"You could have taken the chance to kill me," Vincent said as he nced at the gun on the bedside table.

His consciousness was all clouded and he was even hallucinating, taking Rosalie for Youngie.

It would have been easy as pie for Rosalie to kill him. The gun was even loaded.

"I don''t like killing people," Rosalie said as she stood up from the bed and pulled up the sheets for him. "Although I''m bbergasted at what you did, you did save me after all. I''ll take good care of you this week, but after that, I hope you''ll stop threatening me. I have a baby to take care of and he needs a mother."

"Are you trying to hit a soft spot by talking about that infant of yours?"Content is ? 2024 N?velDrama.Org.

"It''s not about that. You were the one who asked for one week. I hope you''ll be a man of your word."

Vincent smirked, his face still pale from the ordeal. "Yeah, I promise..."

He suddenly fell back on the bed.

Rosalie gently nudged him on the arm. "Vincent, Vincent?"

    He had probably fainted.

Rosalie flipped him onto his back, pulled up the sheets, and left his room.
