Cars sped past the busy streets of Melrine as they drove toward the hospital.
The view outside whizzed past and the towering buildings and bustling crowd formed a unique painting of the city.
It was quiet in the car as Theodore sat silently in the driver''s seat. His sharp facial features were deep in thought. His eyes were dark and mysterious, as if hiding a secret.
Aurora sat beside him, staring at his side profile, pletely besotted with him.
She was lost in his handsome face. Every line on his profile exuded a unique charm. His brows were slightly furrowed, as if he were thinking of something.
Aurora gently held his hand. "Theo, don''t be upset. See how beautiful the sunshine is today. We''ll both be fine." Theodore shot her a warm smile and nodded slightly. "Yes, we''ll both be fine. Everything will get better."
Theodore shifted his gaze from Aurora and looked out of the window, falling back into deep thought once more. The bustling city scene in Melriney before him, tall buildings towering over him and people scurrying around, each one of them in a story of their own.
What were the stories of these people in the crowd?
Were any of them separated from their lover like he was?
Some of them might eventually be forgiven, or some might end up all alone.
From his perspective, these people outside were but passers-by whom he brushed shoulders with. He probably wouldn''t even remember what they looked like.
If he were to walk in the crowd, he would be a mere passer-by too, a stranger brushing shoulders with another and not worthy of mention.
Everyone had their story, whether it was good or bad, happy or sad.
Theodore shut his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling a dull pain in his chest. He clutched his chest as his brows knitted tightly together.
Aurora was very worried to see Theodore like that, and immediately hugged him tight. "Theo, what''s wrong? Do you feel unwell?''
Theodore took a moment to recover before taking his hand off his chest. He smiled as heforted Aurora tenderly, "I''m fine."
"How could you be fine? You looked so unwell just now. You should check if you have a heart condition at the hospitalter," she said.
Aurora was already suffering from a heart condition. If Theodore were to suffer the same and they had heart problems, that would be terrible!
"Aurora, I''m fine. Really. It''s just, I suddenly thought of.." He paused mid-sentence.
He had suddenly thought of Rosalie, which made him feel unwell. It was a psychological response, and not indicative of a heart problem.
One''s heart would hurt in cases of extreme sorrow.
"Theo...". Aurora didn''t know what to say. All she could do was to lookfortingly at him.
She reached out to gently caress his cheek.
"There''s still plenty of time ahead of us. I trust you''ll get better. Even if you don''t choose me in the future, I trust you''ll meet another woman even better than I am."
Aurora wanted to say that Rosalie wasn''t worthy of him and that she was a lousy woman, but she knew she couldn''t say that to Theodore and had to keep it to herself.
Theodore was still being a fool for Rosalie right now, after all. This text is property of N?/velD/rama.Org.
He was still obsessed with Rosalie right now, so he would be unwilling to hear others talk badly about Rosalie.
