"Aurora, why are you so silly?" Theodore didn''t know whether to be angry or not. He was convinced Aurora could do such a foolish thing for his sake.
"Theo, I just wanted to make you happy. I didn''t mean anything else. I''m sorry, Theo. I''m so sorry."
Aurora began to cry in his arms. Her tear-streaked face would make anyone feel sorry for her.
Theodore sighed helplessly and held her tighter.
Then, he looked at Rosalie again. "No matter what, Aurora didn''t do it on purpose. How could you hit her?"
Rosalie let out a helplessugh. Theodore was really good at sidestepping the real issue. Did he think she pped Aurora simply because of this? Aurora was truly cunning.
Moreover, Theodore''s indulgence of Aurora was astonishing. Even though he knew Aurora had spoken about such things, he didn''t get angry at her. "I''m sorry. I apologize. I shouldn''t have hit her. After all, she''s carrying your child and is now your precious one," Rosalie replied in a mocking tone. "So you know," Theodore retorted angrily. "Didn''t you im to have let go already? If that''s true, then why did yoush out? If you want to hit someone, hit me. There''s no need to hurt Aurora. Come at me if you have anything against me."
As Theodore finished, he suddenly recalled that Rosalie had once said the same thing to him. She said that if Theodore was angry at her, he coulde at her and not Sebastian.
The two of them were truly something else.
However, Theodore couldn''t recognize that it had all started because of him.
Rosalie slowly stepped in front of Theodore and pped him hard. She put all her strength into that p, nearly exhausting herself with it.
"Ah!" Aurora screamed in fury, hugging Theodore tightly. "Why did you hit Theo? Why? If you have a problem,e at me instead! Don''t hurt my Theo!"
Aurora sobbed hysterically. It was as if Rosalie''s p hadnded on her instead.
Rosalie scoffed coldly. "Miss Payne,
get it straight. Your dear Theodore said if I had a problem, I shoulde at him. I''m doing just that. He
hasn''t said anything himself, so
don''t go protecting him
Theodore held Aurora tightly, his face now bearing the mark of
Rosalie''s p. The scene looked
e
somewhat bizarre, as if Rosalie were tormenting them—especially with Aurora sobbing so pitifully. Anyone who
saw this would think Rosalie was the viin.
"Are you done?" Theodore said coldly. "If not, go ahead and p me a few more times, but on the condition that you don''t harm Aurora-not a single hair."
Rosalieughed bitterly. "Then let her go, and I''ll give you a proper beating."
She truly wanted to beat Theodore up. From the moment this man had first proposed divorce until now, they had gone through so much. Every time she thought about it, she felt intense pain.
Even though they were divorced, Theodore always acted like he was the wronged party even though he had been the one who insisted on the divorce.
Yet Theodore avoided her, refused to listen to her apologies, and would hear nothing she had to say. Instead, he wallowed in his sorrow.
If that was the case, then it meant he had truly let go. And if he had let go, then he should have let go fully. Yet he had gone all the way to Melrine, bringing his pregnant girlfriend to provoke Rosalie.
This man was truly too much! He was simply a bastard who just couldn''t make up his mind or let things go!
