Chapter 1041

    ?

Rosalie''s voice was tinged with resigned sorrow. She had no energy to scold him or get mad at Theodore, and every word she said was drenched with helplessness.

"I have a question for you that I hope you''ll answer honestly," Theodore said.

"What is it?" Rosalie asked. "Let me go before we talk."

It wasn''t appropriate for him to be holding her like this in public.

Theodore let go of her arm. "Rose, tell me the truth. Did you tell Sebastian to leave?"

His question was neither interrogative nor asked in anger. He simply wanted to know the answer to it.

Rosalie''s eyes shed with doubt when she heard his question. She understood every word he spoke, but when strung together in the question, she didn''t seem toprehend at all.

    Was he interrogating her?

"What do you mean by that? What do you mean I told him to leave?" she shot back.

"Did you already know what Sebastian did and thought that I would cause him trouble, so you told him to leave?"

Rosalie chuckled. "Do you know what you''re saying? I only knew what he did when you showed me the video evidence. What you''re saying makes it sound like I was in cahoots with him to flee the country."

She had no clue what gave him such a thought.

Theodore clenched his fists and stared at her in silence. Rosalie suddenly found it hrious.

"Why did you even have such a thought? Were you unable to find out who leaked the information no matter how hard you rack your brain, so you thought of me? That I must have known about it beforehand?" she said sardonically.

"Did you do it or not? Rose, I just want an honest answer from you," Theodore pressed.

    Rosalie was speechless.

"Theodore Spencer, you''re a joke," she finally said. "I don''t want to say anything to you."

If that was what he truly thought, there was no point in her exining anything. She would leave him to think whatever he wanted.

With that, Rosalie turned to leave.

Theodore grabbed her arm once more.

"Wait." He stopped her from leaving and pleaded, "Tell me the truth, please?"

"Let me go," Rosalie said. No matter how much she struggled against his hold, he refused to let her go.

    Suddenly, Rosalie pped him hard.

"Theodore Spencer, are you quite done?"

Not far away, Aurora was hiding in a corner. She had wanted to rush forward to stop Theodore from getting pped, but at the next moment, she stopped herself.

She couldn''t do that. She couldn''t head out right now.

All she did was stay where she was, her heart aching as she looked at Theodore. Fury and pain filled her eyes as she watched on.

"Rose, I just want to hear you tell me

the truth," Theodore said with a

pained look: "Even if you tell me that

Rosalie had barely managed topose herself when Theodore''s words agitated her once more. She almost burst outughing.

"Theodore Spencer, you''re simplyughable! What do you mean, you forgive me? Who told you I was the one who told Sebastian to leave? Did you think of that yourself?"

    Rosalie was in utter disbelief.

"If you thought it up yourself, you really are a huge fool! If someone suggested that to you, I''m sure he or she has some ulterior motive. Why don''t you consider the possibility he or she might be the one who leaked the information?"

Theodore''s heart leaped. "Impossible. Aurora would never do that." Listening to him mention Aurora''s name, realization dawned upon Rosalie.

"Oh, I know. Aurora must have told you I was the one who told

Sebastian to leave, because we are husband and wife. Since I know everything that my husband has done, I must be the prime
