    X pleaded with her mother, tears streaming down her face.


    "Mom, I''m begging you. Don''t keep doing such foolish things. If Sydney is still alive, please let her go, won''t you? It isn''t toote to stop now, I''m begging you."


    "You''re such a fool," Chandra scoffed, wishing X was bolder. "How could you be so weak?"


    "I''m not weak. I just don''t want to be bogged down by the past. I''m begging you, let her go before things get worse. Or else, if things blow up, you''ll have no escape. She isn''t any ordinary person. If she dies, you''ll..."


    "Shut up!" Chandra cut her daughter off. "No one will know if you don''t say anything! Don''t worry, I did it wlessly. Just tell me honestly. What exactly did you see in my room?"


    Upon hearing themotion outside, Chandra woke up. When she switched the lights on, she realized that her phone screen was facing up. She then recalled that her son hade over today, and his expression wasn''t right.


    Immediately, she became alert and went to her daughter''s room. As she had expected, her daughter did it.


    X wiped her tears. "I didn''t see anything. I couldn''t unlock the phone."


    Suddenly, Chandra pounced on X and snatched the phone behind her.


    "No!" X wanted to snatch her phone back, but Chandra shoved her aside.


    Just then, Christopher called.


    Chandra immediately answered the call and Christopher said anxiously, "X, what happened? You''re not picking up my calls. Sydney''s the one in the pictures. Mom has her. What other clues did you find?"


    "Chris, stop! Don''t speak anymore!" X yelled at her phone.


    Christopher suddenly had a bad feeling.


    "Chris, you''re my son and X is my daughter. I gave birth to you two! How could you two treat me like this?" Chandra snapped.


    Christopher guessed what was going on-he was certain that his mom had found out.


    "Mom, do you know how serious this


    is?! Tell me where Sydney is. I''ll find a way to make sure word doesn''t get out and we can pretend nothing happened. There''s hope as long as she''s still alive. Please, tell me."

    The anxiety in his voice made Chandra scoff. "What''s your rtionship with that woman? You came in the middle of the night looking for her. When did you two be a thing?"


    "Mom, that''s not the point. The point is that she has to be alive. You know that she''s a Spencer, and that they''re looking for her too. They''ll find you out in in no time, so you have to tell me where Sydney is right now white we still can salvage the situation."


    Chandra tightened her grip over her phone. "Chris, the Spencers won''t find out it''s me. Don''t worry. I''ve erased all surveince footage and all relevant information."


    "Mom, don''t be too sure about that. The Spencers know about the watch you''re wearing. They''ll find you in no time."


    "What did you say?!" Chandra asked. "How did they know about the watch?"


    "Don''t bother about that. I''m begging you, tell me where Syd is."


    "How intimate, calling her by her nickname! She ruined my daughter and her husband''s rtionship, and now she''s trying to destroy my son too. How could I let a woman like her live? I''m getting someone to destroy herpletely! I''ll see how the Spencers will find her. Even if they manage to, they won''t be able to find out it''s me."
