    Chandra let out a small sigh of relief.


    "Rose, no matter whose child he is, that child is still a member of our family."


    "Steve is not part of your family," Rosalie replied. "He is my child. He''s neither a Jackson nor a Fisher."


    "I know this is difficult for you to ept. I won''t force you to acknowledge your roots immediately. I''ll give you time to think it over. But you are, after all, my granddaughter. No matter what, I think we should stay in contact."


    "I don''t think that''s necessary," Rosalie said coldly. "Although I now know who my parents are, this knowledge doesn''t change anything for me.     Rosalie was about to tell her not to, but Chandra seemed to anticipate this. "I won''t give up so easily. You''ve been wearing that bracelet and searching for your family. Now you''ve found them, isn''t that a good thing? Stop running away


    "Enough! Don''t say another word," Rosalie snapped. "You-"


    The doorbell rang again.


    Rosalie''s first thought was whether Theodore had returned.


    She walked to the door and looked . peephole. Outside

    Chandra stepped forward and said,


    "Sebastian, since you''re here, it saves me a trip you. There''s something important you need to know. Rosalie is the child of your uncle who was lost for years. She''s my granddaughter; your cousin know you two were once married, but that was under circumstances where neither of you knew the truth. Besides, Rosalie has already told me you two never had a physical rtionship, so no real harm was done. From now on, she''s your


    cousin, so you need to rein in your misced feelings."


    Chandra spoke in one breath without pausing, making everything clear to Sebastian.


    Sebastian stood frozen, holding the bouquet in his arms, his eyes fixed on Rosalie. He didn''t say a word for a long time.
