    The bed was around seventy inchesrge. Renee''s eyes were closed as she moved anxiously.


    She thought she was still sleeping in the West Chamber, but the mattress didn''t feel the same. Then, she abruptly opened her eyes.


    She saw a luxurious bedroom in the Paris La Nuit Club style. Above her hung a brilliant chandelier akin to the ones in medieval castles. A fragrant scent permeated the air.


    "You''re finally awake..." A man''s bewitching voice came from an inconspicuous corner. Renee."


    Jovan was sitting in a luxurious chair, his legs crossed, swaying a ss of red wine. He appeared like a stereotypical vampire as he stared wickedly at Renee.


    "Are you out of your mind, Jovan? What did you do to me?" Renee yelled.


    Recalling what had happened, she abruptly sat up. Once she realized her situation, she started snarling at him.


    "Do you or your family hold a grudge against me? Why did you kidnap me from my engagement party?! Have you thought about the consequences? I''m sure you know how decisive the Baldwins can be. Do you want to get yourself killed too?"


    "Cool it," Jovan snorted as he sipped some wine. "I just did what you wanted but were too cowardly to do. Instead of thanking me, you''re criticizing me. You''re a hypocrite!"


    He felt quite excited since Renee used to be his cousin-inw. It made him feel like what he did was immoral.


    "What I wanted to do?" Renee got out of bed angrily and rushed toward him. At that


    moment, she noticed something was restricting her ankle. She looked down and found her leg tied to an iron chain.


    She stared at Jovan in disbelief, feeling goosebumps all over her.


    "Are you crazy? Let me go right now!"


    In her impression, he wasn''t that crazy despite being a scumbag. He secretly kidnapped her when she was blind, but he didn''t tie her to an iron chain. This time, however, he had acted like a madman.


    "I''m sure you already know I''m crazy. Why are you so shocked?" Jovan ced the ss of wine on a cab beside him and slowly walked toward her. "It wasn''t easy for me to pull strings and take such a big risk to get you from the strictly guarded hall to my secret base. Do you think I''ll let you go?"


    As he spoke, he got down on one knee on the bed and tried to touch Renee''s face.


    Renee reacted quickly; she was obedient at first, but then she suddenly bit his palm fiercely and red at him stubbornly.


    "You''re so violent!" Jovan frowned, then smirked. "But I like this side of you."


    Renee was bbergasted. She couldn''t speak, exhausting all her energy to bite his palm and refusing to let him go. She tried to make him release her.


    She had sharp teeth, so even a light bite would cause quite a lot of pain. Since she bit him as


    fiercely as she could, the pain might make him bleed.
