    Chapter 2306

Jovan watched Renee fall into a deep thought. His gaze deepened, filled with renewed ferocity.

Jovan turned his wrist and said slowly, "Okay, stop overthinking. I can tell you the truth if you want to know it."

Renee abruptly looked up. Her eyes were teary as she begged him, "What''s the truth?"

"Listen to me and stay with me." Jovan frowned. After a short contemtion, he grinned and continued, "Stay with me for ten days or half a month. Then, I''ll tell you."

    "That''s not possible!"

Renee immediately refused him, growing cold. "I have to leave right away. I can''t watch the two families get into a fight."

If she didn''t return to North City immediately to exin things, the Baldwin and Hunt families would get into a big fight. Regardless of her circumstances, she didn''t want them to fight. They were good people, and she refused to see them hurt.

"Just let them fight. It''s just a fight among bad people. Your family can grab this chance to get back to the top. Don''t you want that?" Jovan said.

Although Jovan belonged to the Hunt family, he always acted like a traitor. He had no loyalty to them and didn''t care about his family''s welfare. He wanted to make things worse and watch a great show.

"I don''t care about the truth as long as the people I care about are safe and sound," Renee snapped.

She couldn''t imagine which side she would take when Stefan and Justin fought fiercely, or if only one of them could survive. As she couldn''t bear it, she naturally had to prevent such a thing from happening.

"The people you care about?" Jovan had aplicated gaze. He faked a smile and added, " I''m curious who you care about. Your ex-husband who betrayed you, or your fiance who''s your soulmate?"

He was curious, and wanted them to fight fiercely.

"None of your business!" Renee red at him and clenched her fists hard. "You must let me go now, or else..."

    "What will you do?"

"I won''t let you off the hook!" Renee snarled, her tone cold.

"You would have long run away if you could do that. You wouldn''t be so fierce with me here. "Jovan pointed out her sore spot.

For a moment, Renee was speechless and could not refute him.

Since he had chained her, she couldn''t forcefully escape. She had toe up with another way.

After a pause, she cleared her throat. "You''re right, so I''ll stop arguing with you. I''m hungry. Can you get me some food?"

Jovan''s attitude turned better when he noticed the change in hers. He put away his sneer and smiled sincerely.

"Sure. What would you like to eat?"

    "Pasta."
