"You can think of it that way!"
Edon dispensed with disguises right then, whipping out a gleaming machete from behind himself and thrusting it into the table before him.
ring at Frank, he barked, "You''d better tell the truth, or you''re not leaving this house!"
"Pfft..." Lubor snickered even as the air in the room tensed.
"What are youughing at?!" Edon snapped in annoyance.
He threatened Frank exactly because he did not want Lubor to win.
If they could save Jaden by doing whatever Frank did, they would not have to give up the chief of the Martial Alliance to Hundred Bane Sect.
They would not wrong the Martial Alliance and certainly would not give Hundred Bane Sect leverage against themselves.
However, if Edon thought of that, Lubor certainly could.
"Like I said, Edon, the Soulbleeder is a novelty of Hundred Bane Sect. No one can neutralize it aside from the elders of Hundred Bane Sect."This content ? N?v/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
He scoffed, ncing at Frank in disdain. "Obviously, that brat is fine because he was never poisoned in the first ce-he was just pretending to be poisoned in that duel."
"What..."
Edon was left scowling at Lubor''s quip, but it made sense.
They had spent a fortune hiring every healer from Norsedam and the east coast to save Jaden. Even so, they could not fully cure him and could only keep him in a state of suspended animation with copious amounts of natural wonders, just to stop the poison from spreading.
What could Frank do anyway?
And with Lubor speaking against Frank, it meant that Frank was not a member of Hundred Bane Sect.
Considering that and realizing that he must have been getting overwrought with worry, Edon sighed exasperatedly and sheathed his machete.
"Heh..." Frank suddenly chuckled. "And whoever said I was pretending? The fact is I''ve not just been poisoned, but I was the one who neutralized the poison myself."
Everyone was left stunned by his bombshell, especially Lubor.
Still, Lubor soon came to his senses and clutched his stomach as heughed. "You can really talk, brat! Someone like you, beating the Hundred Bane Sect''s Soulbleeder? Try harder next time!"
Chet also shook his head and started to turn and leave. "Mr. Lawrence, we don''t have any information on the chief of the Martial Alliance for you. Feel free to see yourself out."
He did not believe in Frank and dismissed everything he said as nonsense.
After all, who talked like that?
And if Frank really was poisoned, someone else had to have cured him.
Chet might even have believed Frank if he said someone amazing did it, but the fact that Frank said he did it himself made it clear it was all bullshit.
In his mind, Frank could study poison for a lifetime but still fail to counteract the poison, and that went without saying when he was this young.
While the elders of Hundred Bane

Sect had Chet''s confidence, those were all geezers well advanced in years. And a youth was supposed to defeat their decades worth of refinement in their specialty? Who would ever believe that?
On the other hand, Frank was now dead sure from Chet''s subtle reactions that he had information on Silverbell and did not want to tell him for some reason.
With that in mind, Frank chuckled. "Patience, Mr. Favoni. Why don''t we make a deal?"
Chet stopped and turned to level a cool look at Frank. "A deal? What deal?"
