"Rex Quill?"
Frank frowned-this was his first time hearing that name.
"Why did you have to b?!"N?velDrama.Org owns this text.
Eric shot an using look at Tim, shaking his head. "Please, Mr. Lawrence. It''s just rumors and spection among the servants. Don''t take it too seriously..."
"It doesn''t matter. The governor''s days are numbered," Tim retorted, determined. "And how long do you think we could live like this, Eric?"
That was enough to shut Eric up, and he once again looked troubled.
"Mr. Lawrence."
Tim then saluted Frank respectfully. "You''re the kindest and most polite scion I''ve ever met, and you aren''t dismissive of us underlings at all. I won''t lie to you-Eric and I were war orphans who lost our father to the war.
"The governor took in many children like us-children of his lostrades, allowing us to reside in Quill Manor and train martial arts with his sons. But..."
"But as you can see, the Quills think of us as peasants, a bunch of homeless kids begging for alms."
Eric finished the sentence for Tim, shaking his head and sighing as he came clean too. "Sure, whenever the governor returns, we''d be treated like kings. Naturally, it''s a disguise to bluff the governor."
"When he''s gone..." He bit his lip and sighed. "We''re reduced to doormen, suffering all kinds of torture and humiliation at the hands of the governor''s children."
Eric then pointed at Tim''s hip. "Hell, his hip was injured because one of them pummeled him on purpose during training.
"On top of that, we''re forced into silence because they took our families hostage, forcing them to work menial jobs in the manor."
Tim finally shed tears just then.

"There was this one time when my mother forgot to turn off a faucet, and Cara York broke her hand..."
"What..."

Frank was stunned, caught off guard by the atrocities happening in Quill Manor.
Winter had a hand over her mouth, her eyes widened in disbelief. "H-How could they do that!"
On the other hand, Jean snorted coolly. "Hmph. I knew they were nothing good!"
"So... Mr. Lawrence!"
Tim firmly wiped off the manly tears from his face as he knelt before Frank again: "Please, you have to help us! We heard that the governor thinks highly of you and intends to have you seed him. So, please! You have to do this!"
Eric went down on his knees too. "Please don''t turn down the governor. You''re already one in our hearts. None of those brats in this
manor deserve to take office!"

Frank was left in a dilemma at two iron-blooded soldiers begging him on their knees.
However, though he sympathized with their situation, he really had no intention topete for the governor position.
It sounded morous, but if Frank really did take the office, he would be tied down without a reprieve.
And for a free spirit like Frank, that was absolutely uneptable.
