"Pfft..."
Some of the smarter ones in the crowd could see that Phoenix did not expose Frank''s boasting just to mock him for being ignorant.
As many of the martial artists were convinced they were in for a new show, they stopped some of their friends who were leaving, all of them watching Frank in amusement.
"The Martial Alliance''s rmendation changing hands? Never heard about that before."
"Hahaha... No way that''s happening."
"I''m surprised that the kid''s that down to earth!"
"Forget changing hands-why would that kid have the Martial Alliance''s rmendation?"
"Exactly. The rmendation is reserved for martial elites. And weren''t you listening to the branch manager?"
"Yeah... The rmendation here in Zamri was given by the chief of the Martial Alliance. The kid''s just bragging!"
"Oh, this is killing me... I''d really like to see the look on the brat''s face when he can''t keep this up."
Most of the ridicule was naturally aimed at Frank, since his offer to give up the Martial Alliance''s rmendation was simply outrageous. It even diverted all attention from Phoenix''seuppance earlier.
Phoenix was breathing a sigh of relief just then-thank goodness that this idiot stood out to take the bullet for her, or she would really be embarrassed.
Right now, her priority would be to get away before going back to her sect or fiance, asking them to investigate who could have taken her rmendation.
On the other hand, Frank began to wonder if something was wrong as everyone was leering at him in contempt.
Was it something he said? Or perhaps the Martial Alliance''s rmendation could not change hands?
Still, he soon heard a couple of
martial artists huddled in a corneret
laughing that Frank definitely.

have the rmendation
He breathed a sigh of relief right then-so that was all it was!
That was certainly no big deal, so he strode up and stopped Phoenix, who was trying to escape. "A billion. That''s what you said."
"What?!"

Phoenix was shocked that Frank still did not realize what was going on and leered at him in contempt, nodding and snorting. "Yes, right, one billion! But forgive my frankness-did you really think getting the Martial Alliance''s rmendation is that easy, and do you really have a right to it?"
"Sure I do." Frank shed a smile so confident that everyone was left staring nkly.
For Phoenix, however, he was like a stubborn chewing gum stuck fast to her and unavable.
As such, she lost her patience and went for the direct approach instead.
"Manager!" she snapped impatiently, turning towards the Martial Alliance
branch manager of Zamri. "You heard him. He''s saying that he has the Martial Alliance''sText ? owned by N?velDrama.Org.

rmendation, so I''d like to ask if he does?"
"Him?"
The manager frowned at Frank, while the martial artists around them chuckled out loud.
"Just look at the manager-he clearly doesn''t recognize the brat, and he''s still saying he has the rmendation. What a joke."
"Maybe he dreamed that he had itst night?"
"Such a clown..."
Despite hearing thements, the manager turned toward Frank with an impassive look, asking, "Your name, sir?"
"Frank Lawrence," Frank replied calmly, taking no offense to the mockery.
