Winter continued, "Most of our medical staff are suffering from fevers and vomiting, and let me guess-the journalists who are rushing here are yet another one of your gestures ofpassion, no?"
Fredoughed and apuded right then. "Good! You''re not as dumb as you look, seeing how you''ve managed to put the pieces together!"
Hisughter only left Winter scowling harder, and she mmed her hand on the table while pointing at the door. "You will leave this instant! I will make sure to remember everything you''ve done to Zamri Hospital on this day, and mark my words, this won''t go unanswered!''
"Well said!"
Fredo stood up, pping endlessly. "I couldn''t have put it better, chief. This matter certainly won''t go unanswered."
He then beckoned at his burly bodyguard, who opened the briefcase on the desk and took out a stack of bright-white documents.
As the bodyguard primply put it on Winter''s desk, she scowled and asked, "What''s this?"
"The partnership agreement between Zamri Hospital and Shen Group, of course!"
Fredo shrugged. "Did you already forget what I said? Shen Group is determined to expand into East Draconia."
"I''m sorry, but I''m not interested in partnering with you."
Winter pushed the document away without reading it. "And if you have no other business here, please leave this hospital with your men right now!" "Calm down, Ms. Lawrence." Fredoughed.
In the first ce, he and his men had managed to enter Winter''s office directly because the rest of the hospital was in sheer chaos.
Fredo then took a bottle of white
serum out of the briefcase, waving it in Winter''s face as he said. "Do you know what this is? It''s an antidote for the toxin we released into your vents Just release it in the central venttion of your hospital, and the chaos would die down in under ten minutes."
Even as Winter looked on furiously, Fredo returned the bottle of antidote into his briefcase and grinned. "That is why, right now, I must advise you to not do anything rash. There are plenty of journalists gathered at the front entrance, no? Rest assured that more areing, and your friend and the security guards won''t be able to hold the line for long."
Chuckling Fredo then pointed at the government. "I''m sure that you won''t be able to ept a major security breach such as this one, being the chief of Zamri''s biggest and most important hospital.
"And who knows? With a couple of cases of malpractice and pictures of your pretty face publicized... Tut, tut! People are definitely going to talk."C0ntent ? 2024 (N/?)velDrama.Org.
Even as Fredo leaned forward and smiled at Winter, his words were as threatening as possible.
Winter was certainly furious and would have told Mona Fairfax would give that despicable man a beating.
Sadly, however, she had no one with her at the moment, as most of the security guards were incapacitated.
On top of that, Winter had to Mona away to rally the security guards who were not infected, to stop the journalists trying to break their way into the building.
As such, she was now all by herself andpletely out of options, which was why she had called Frank for help.
