"Rumors, you say..."
Frank nodded and shrugged. "You heard rumors that we were giving fake pills, so you reported it to themissioner the day after we fired you.
"And despite it being just rumors, themissioner has personally sent full-armed officers to investigate Zamri Hospital... all because you heard rumors."
His eyes turning cold as he red fixedly at Yannick, Frank growled, "In that case, what if I said I''ve heard rumors that you, Yannick Jorst, have been selling organs of the deceased to the ck market by abusing your position as the head coroner? I wonder if themissioner would send so many armed officers to assist in my investigation too?"
Everyone on the scene did a double take at Frank''s cool words, with many of the patients noticing the contradiction.
Frank was certainly right-why would themissionere here in force over a mere rumor?!
"Y-You''re ndering me!"
Yannick was caught off guard, but he was soon pointing at Frank and snapping, "I''ve never done anything like that! Don''t you dare spout such nonsense to tarnish my reputation!"
"Oh, don''t be so quick to argue."
Frank folded his arms before his chest, chuckling coolly. "Like I said, it''s just a rumor."
Then, turning toward Podrick, he asked, "So, Captain Daffey-if I''m telling you right now that I heard rumors of Yannick Jorst''s crimes, shouldn''t you be assisting me in investigating him as well?"
Podrick, who had kept his poker face throughout, remained silent.
He was there with Yannick in the group inspecting the storeroom and could clearly see that Yannick was strangely familiar with the ce.
And after they failed to find any fake medicine, Yannick appeared at once panicking and restless.
As such, even Podrick himself was basically confident that the fake medicine was not Zamri Hosptial''s doing-Yannick must have nted them there to frame the hospital.

However, as a police captain, he only had to take orders from themissioner and did not have to care about much else.
As such, after a brief silence, he said calmly, "I wasn''t tasked by themissioner to investigate Yannick Jorst."
"Oh, good."
Frank pped andughed. "That''s so interesting. And yet, he would send an army straight to Zamri Hospital just because he heard Yannick''s side of the story...?" This content ? N?v/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
"What''s that supposed to mean?!" Podrick''s brow furrowed at Frank''s loaded question.
"Oh, nothing much. It''s just that themissioner seemed fairly biased."
Frank chuckled and cleared his throat as he turned toward the entrance and called out, "Come on in."
"Yes, sir!"
Someone answered outside, and soon Peter Lane entered with a briefcase, escorted by over a dozen officers of the Lanecorp Health and Safety Department.
"Who are you people?!" Podrick''s face fell when he saw so many men suddenly pouring into the hospital lobby.
"Haha. There''s no reason to panic, Captain Daffey."
Frank chuckled, calmly taking the briefcase from Peter and opening it on a desk.
Pulling out a ledger, he said, "Here. Take a look at this."
"What''s this?" Podrick asked as he
took the ledger and immediately noticed the eye-catching title.
"Transaction details... Spencer Lowe, corneas, three hundred grand."
