Casually getting himself a chair, Frank sat and crossed his legs while waving off everyone around the table impatiently. "Get out of here right now." However, everyone there was a rich and important figure in Zamri.
They were certainly stunned-did Frank really just tell them to leave?Text ? owned by N?velDrama.Org.
"Watch yourself, Frank Lawrence! This isn''t a ce where you get to strut-don''t even believe for one second that you''re invincible just because you have Lanecorp''s influence and your gangs!"
"Exactly! You don''t have what it takes to lord over us!"
"Everyone around this table has ties to the government! If you insist on fighting us, then you will watch as everything you have will soon be destroyed!"
Frank was not even bothered to argue against them, however, and pped his hands.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
There were endless cracks of gunshots, and the thin walls of the private room were soon riddled by bullet holes.
However, those were no more than warning shots, as no one in the room was hit.
Still, ser pointers were trained on the faces of everyone around the table, and inevitable breath awaited anyone who spouted more rubbish.
"What..."
Geon was the first who saw and recognized theser pointers, which had small holes in the middle.
Having knowledge of the various military forces in the country, he identified that theser pointers belonged to ck Rain. They answered to none of
themissioners in any city, however, as they served directly under Governor Quill, the head of the seven east coast states.
A veil seemed to lift from Geon''s mind as he turned gingerly toward Frank, who was sitting right in front of him.
His heart was pounding wildly-Frank actually had ties to Governor Quill?
Others notwithstanding, he could at least call in ck Rain, the governor''s most elite special ops squad.
So who on earth was he?!
While Geon found himself pondering the meaning of life, the other rich and important figures of Zamri were all panicking, as they could all see theser pointers trained on their heads.
None of them dared to speak out of turn, as they valued their lives above all else, more so than anyone else.
As such, they all appeared deted as they left the private room as Frank had ordered, ashen-faced.
When they did and saw what was actually happening outside, they were left gaping-the entire hallway had been surrounded by full-armed soldiers, led by Hans Schnee,
e
commander of the East Coast Base!
Any rich or important figure in the east coast would certainly know him.
In fact, these Zamri self-styled aristocrats were already mustering smiles and doing their best to suck up to him.
However, all they got from Hans was an icy "Fuck off", and they promptly gave up, hanging their heads and left as the armed soldiers watched. Even as they stepped outside the building, they could see the fear and confusion in their eyes.
In their minds, Frank was just a two-bit thug banking on his martial arts and Lanecorp''s influence to unify Zamri''s underbelly under one banner.
There was no doubt that his strongest backers were the Southstream Lanes, who could be considered a rather rich family.
In reality, they did not have much influence in Zamri and were only getting a little famous recently thanks to Lanecorp''s rapid growth. Otherwise, no one would even know them.
As such, in the point of view of these
self-styled Zamri aristocrats, Frank was nothing more than a
househusband, scheming to use the SouthStream Lanes to pave the way and assert their authority in Zamri.
