Debra looked at Andrew.
"Is Marioning back tonight?"
"That''s what you''re focusing on right now? Do you understand the battle you''re facing? If you can''t conquer this addiction, it will destroy you."
"I''ll make it through."
"Do you have any idea how many lives the Lowe family has ruined with their drugs? It''s a miracle if someone breaks free. What makes you think you''ll be any different?"
"If I wasn''t determined to fight this, I would have stayed with Drake instead ofing back." She paused, looking down at her arms. "I knew from the moment he injected me that I was in trouble."
She had known ever since the night Drake kidnapped her. He had drugged her, and he was betting that she wouldn''t dare leave his side because of it.
"Drake always underestimates women. He thinks he can control me with drugs and make me obedient and dependent on him. I''ll beat this and prove him wrong."
Andrew studied her for a moment and then nodded. "I will provide you with the best medical support. You''ll stay here during your recovery."
"Thank you. And Marion?"
"I''ll handle him."
Andrew understood her concern. If Marion found out, he would definitely lose it.
Debra sighed softly, relieved. The drug Drake had injected her with was diluted, and it didn''t take effect until about a weekter. The trigger had likely been the coffee she drank that morning.
If she could survive the next few months, she would be okay. All rights ? N?velDrama.Org.
"There''s one more thing I need from you."
"Name it."
"Use my bank card to buy drugs from the Lowe Group."
Drake didn''t know she was trying to quit. She needed him to think she was still dependent on him.
Andrew understood her n immediately. "Leave it to me. I''ll take care of everything."
Across town at the Eaton family vi, Liza threw a newspaper down in front of Cathryn. "Debra''s a lot tougher than she looks. She made it out of Orkgate alive."
Cathryn read the news and turned pale.
Liza was frustrated. "What is Drake doing? I need to call my dad and ask him to look into this."
Cathryn grabbed her arm nervously. "Liza, there must be some mistake. There''s no way Debra could have survived Orkgate. But if she did and found out I helped Drake, would she tell Marion? He''d never forgive me."
Liza snorted, "Marion promised to take care of you. Debra doesn''t stand a chance against you. Marion would never choose her over you."
