Chapter 856

Juan turned, leaving Shelia alone inside the room. The door was locked, sealing her fate.

Downstairs, Sophie was in the storage room, looking at a strange silver mask and an unremarkable ck suit. She didn''t think these belonged to Juan.

As Juan descended the stairs, he saw Sophie about to discard the items. He strode over to pick up the items.

"Sir, I found them in the storeroom and thought they were no longer needed. I was about to dispose of them."

"These are mine. Don''t touch anything in the storage room without permission."

    "Understood."

"Also, this house no longer needs a maid. Go and take care of my grandmother. She''s getting old and should enjoy her retirement. Don''t let her go out without my permission." "But who will take care of the house if I leave?"

"I''ll handle it myself. Just do as I say."

    "Yes, sir."

Sophie gathered her belongings and left the house.

Juan looked down at the silver mask. Then he ced it and the suit back in the storage room.

He muttered to himself, "Debra, I can''t be by your side anymore, but Frederic will be there to help you."

Across town, in the Potter Mansion, Andrew had gathered a team of experts to analyze Debra''s condition.

    Debra felt a bit overwhelmed.

Marion summarized the situation for her. "With thetest antagonist and your self-control, you might be able to pull through. But since this is a new drug, there are no precedents for sessfully quitting it."

An expert chimed in, "And we can''t determine if quitting this drug will cause nerve damage or the extent of such damage."

Debra asked, "So, if someone can quit this drug with minimal nerve damage, I have a chance of sess?"

    "Yes," the expert confirmed. "Our

antagonist is designed to counteract this drug. Its effect is to block the drug''s impact, but ultimately, whether you can quit depends on your willpower."

"I understand," Debra said, her mind racing with the challenges ahead.

She had already endured two episodes and knew the excruciating pain that came with withdrawal. The road ahead was uncertain and daunting.

Marion reassured her softly, "No matter what, I''ll be by your side. I won''t let anything happen to you."

He had been studying the drug in hisb. If he could develop an antidote, it could alleviate Debra''s suffering, if not cure her.

"I''ll be with you every step of the way," he promised.

Debra was relieved and interlocked fingers with him.

Andrewmented, "Debra was only injected once, so the nerve damage should be minimal. We''ll find a solution together."

    Erica huffed, "Drake deserves worse
