Chapter 1357 Hidden Plot
?
Trinity nced at my belly.
"You really have everything going for you. So that''s why this little girl calls herself a big sister. I envy you," she sighed.
"Well, hurry up and find someone you love to have a baby with. It won''t affect you being the head of the Huffman family," I quickly suggested to Trinity.
I knew Trinity didn''t have any friends. I was her first friend, and I genuinely meant what I said.
A hint of shyness shed across Trinity''s face, though it vanished in an instant. But it was a genuine expression.
Trinity had changed. I stared at her face, wondering what had caused such a change in her.
What had she encountered in Yare? Or was this her true self? I had to admit, I didn''t know her very well.
Just then, a servant knocked on the door, inviting us to lunch.
Trinity quickly took Ava''s hand. "Let''s go eat, little girl."
I was a little hungry.
On the way to the dining room, Ava chattered away like a little bird, amusing Trinity endlessly. I was pleasantly surprised by my daughter''s outgoing nature and how she managed to make Trinity, the cold and aloof princess, ugh so much.
When we arrived at the dining room, both As and Jared were already there.
I wasn''t surprised. As must have followed us, and Jared was the head of the household here. Besides, it wasn''t surprising that Trinity''s return had brought him here.
Jenny was talking to Anson. When she saw use in, she immediately ran to Ava. "I thought you got lost."
"I won''t get lost. If I can''t find Mommy, I cane back and find Grandpa," Ava said mischievously.
After that, she went straight to As. "Are you here to pick up me and mommy, Daddy?"
As looked at her lovingly. "Yes. Did you behave yourself today?"N?velDrama.Org is the owner.
"Grandpa''s house is like a maze. It''s so fun! Can we build our house like this too?" She sounded a little domineering as she suggested that. "Do you like it?" As asked Ava.
"My little brother will like it," she said, pleasing As sessfully.
As smiled at her words. "Alright, we''ll build a house that you and your little brother will like."
I looked at Trinity. "Where''s L?"
"She''s eating in her room. She''s only
interested inputers, so she
doesn''t reallye out to eat
except under special
circumstances," Trinity said lightly.
Then, she suddenly looked at Jared. "Haven''t you found Liora yet?"
"There''s no rush," Jared said lightly. His expression made it clear that he knew where Liora was.
When Trinity heard that response, she calmly said, "When the timees, leave it to me."
The conversation between those two sounded light, but it was extremely tacit and had a clear threatening undertone. There must be a reason why they were letting Liora roam free.
But I wasn''t interested. I knew what her fate would be in the end.
For Liora, every minute she spent outside was filled with anxiety and fear, a living hell. She was just a pawn, and it was time for her fo experience how indifferent society could be.
After lunch, I talked to Trinity for a while. As noticed how tired I was and quickly suggested that we leave.
In the car, I asked As, "By the way, didn''t you say you would find out Ste''s identity? Do you have anything yet?"
As shook his head. "She''s not Gemma."
"She''s not?" I repeated, feelingplex emotions. I wasn''t sure if it was disappointment or relief.
"Take it easy. We''ll find her," Asforted me.
I remained silent, my mind in turmoil, thinking that Ste was a mystery.
But looking at it from another
perspective, I felt that she would
eventually fall into my hands as long
as she was still out there. Would it
still be hard to uncover her secrets then?
