After a night of sinful indulgence, Bethany was woken up by one of the waitresses in the bathroom. She barely had time to clean her lower parts before she shamefully scuttled out of the backdoor of the club. She emerged to find that it was bright outside. It was already noon the next day.
Needless to say, she would not dare return to Tideview Manor in such a state. With that, her only choice was to head to the luxurious suite in the Salvador Hotel that she used to upy.
Upon arriving, she washed off all the sweat and other fluids on her body after sleeping with the man. The entire time, scenes of her passionate intercourse with the brazen manst night shed across her mind.
Damn... He was very gifted down there and great in bed.
It was a shame she did not get his number. She would have loved to see him again!
After she was done cleaning up, she got changed into a new set of clothes the hotel staff brought for her. With that, the image of the noble and refineddy whose corrupted side was well hidden from the world had returned. After that, she had the driver take her back to Tideview Manor.
As soon as she stepped inside, she heard someone chatting andughing in the living room.
"Do we have guests at home?" Bethany turned to the housekeeper and asked.
"Yes, Miss. Mayor Solloway is visiting with his wife and son. Chairman Salvador is entertaining them right now."
Bethany was slightly taken aback to hear this. She was silently cussing out the bratty bootlicker Jason, who was so quick to make a move.
With that, she hurriedly smoothed her hair and put on her best docile and charming smile before trotting into the living room.
"Dad, looks like you have guests over."
She acted as if she had stumbled into them and had identally cut off their conversation. "Oh, it''s Mayor Solloway and Mrs. Solloway! Even Jason is here. Good afternoon, everyone."
Gregory vaguely caught a whiff of the scent of alcohol on Bethany and instinctively frowned in displeasure. Despite that, he kept up his appearances in front of the guests.
The Solloway couple barely spared a nce in Bethany''s direction. All they did was smile inly in her direction before taking a sip from their respective teacups.
The cowardly Jason hardly dared to make eye contact with Bethany at all. He put on the best impression of a well-mannered son-inw.
He was acting as if he were not the same man who had slept with Zoest night.
"Chairman Salvador, it''s such aThis belongs to N?velDrama.Org: ?.
shame that Carrie isn''t around today. Jason has even prepared bunch of gifts for her and was hoping to give them to her in person." Mrs. Solloway remarked with a smile.
"Our son has never had a girlfriend his whole life and blushes at the sight of a girl. He sure is going all out for Carrie, haha!" Mayor Solloway chuckled while patting his son on the shoulder.
"Pfft!"
Thement was so unexpected that Bethany could not suppress herughter!
The scene suddenly became incredibly awkward.
The Solloway couple wore stiffened smiles on their faces while cold sweat trickled down Jason''s forehead. He was terrified that Bethany would expose him.
"Dad, I can confirm that what Mayor Solloway and Mrs. Solloway are saying is true. I used to be in the same school as Jason and he''s always been a grounded, hardworking man." Bethany nced at Jason''s pale expression and noted with meaning, "He''s a perfect match for Carrie, I can''t think of a better candidate for the son-inw of our family. We go way back." A faint scowl greeted Gregory''s lips, and his expression grew darker.
The mayor got up and remarked with a smile, "We''ll be leaving. We wouldn''t want to take up too much of your time."
"Chairman Salvador, let''s set up
another meeting when Carriees back. We should all bring our children together for another
meeting." Mrs. Solloway seemelo
very eager to suggest another meeting.
Gregory coughed faintly and expressed in a slightly troubled manner. "You two must have seen the recent news. With my daughter''s current mental state..."
"Oh, Chairman Salvador, just the fact that we came is a sign that we are not bothered by her condition. We don''t mind at all."
