    ?Chapter 2139

Owen let out a bitterugh. He then shook his head repeatedly. From N?velDrama.Org.

He did not deny Ralph''s words. Instead, he regretted the three years he had spent serving Christopher without question. He felt a deep sense of remorse, realizing just how unworthy it all had been.

At that moment, overwhelming regret consumed him.

It was not for the mistakes that had cost him the honors he had worked a lifetime to gain. He was devastated that a man who once lived with integrity and honor had be a mere pawn of the devil in hister years.

"Do you have anything else to confess besides what we found in your home?" Ralph asked directly.

    "Yes."

Owen lowered his gaze. "I was also involved in Aaron Larson''s case. Christopher directed me from behind."

Ralph''s eyes widened in shock. "You killed Aaron Larson? Didn''t he die from a suicide?"

"It was a suicide. But Christopher drove him to it. He even forged a suicide note and sent awyer to deliver it to Aaron, who carried it with him after that. After Aaron''s death, I abused my power to ensure the police quickly closed the case as a suicide."

Ralph shook his head, still perplexed.

"Aaron Larson was the heir to the Larson family''s businesses. How could he have been so easily manipted by you all?"

"Because Christopher had a deadly piece of leverage over him."

Owen''s eyelids twitched as he exined, "Aaron was a key partner for Christopher in Savrow. Christopher deceived Aaron into believing he was trafficking a new, highly profitable soft drug. Christopher initially presented this as an opportunity to lure Aaron into the trap. However, Aaron didn''t realize he was merely assisting Christopher in conducting live human experiments for the drug. Christopher never intended to profit from it. He only wanted to achieve his goals. The conditions he offered were so tempting that Aaron took the risk and partnered with him."

Since the Larsons were rted to M, who had now taken full control of the Larson family''s business, Ralph was naturally more concerned about this matter.

"The Larson family is prestigious in Hatchbay, with billions in assets. Why would they turn to drug trafficking and associate with someone like Christopher?!"

"Alvin Larson and his son had recklessly expanded their business over the years. However, their investment in drug research yielded no results, leading their top investors to pull out. This created a cash flow crisis, which is how Aaron fell into Christopher''s trap."

Ralph understood immediately. "So, what does Christopher have on Aaron?"

"The new drug experiments led to a series of deaths in Savrow. Aaron tried to back out and threatened that if anything happened to him, he would drag Christopher down with him. But again, you and I know exactly what kind of person Christopher is. He rewards loyalty and crushes opposition. Even a momentary slip of the tongue is enough for him to decide that he had to eliminate Aaron."

Owen''s expression darkened, his eyes hollow and devoid of life. "So, one night, Christopher invited Aaron to a resort hotel in the suburbs under the pretext of a gathering. The night was one of debauchery. There

was wine, women, and indulgence. Lost in the chaos, Aaron ended up in a room with a girl. In the early morning, that girl died in bed. The cause of death? An overdose of hallucinogens, injected on Christopher''s orders. But while Aaron was too drunk to realize it, Christopher framed him for the murder. Then hemanded me to dispose of the body before dawn."

Ralph''s eyes widened with rage, his pupils dting in shock. "What did you do with her body?"

"I dumped it at a construction site in the Eastern District. There was a half-poured concrete foundation. I threw her into it."

As he finished his sentence, Owen lowered his head.

Regret, guilt, and anguish made Owen''s tears fall rapidly. Each drop hit the floor with a faint sound that echoed through the cold interrogation room. The small sound amplified, swelling into a deafening roar. It was as if an overwhelming wave was about to consume, drown, and obliterate him entirely.

Ralph''s throat tightened as he looked at the man before him, his emotions tangled in a mess.

No matter what, Ralph could never forgive Owen, and thew certainly would not.

"So, Christopher also orchestrated Aaron''s arrest? That way, when he forced Aaron to his death, he could also walk away unscathed, right?"

How insidious and ruthless! Even the deepest pits of hell would be too lenient for him.

"I know I''vemitted unforgivable sins. I deserve the harshest punishment. I will ept whatever judgment is passed on me. I won''t argue or appeal."

Owen could not bring himself to meet Ralph''s gaze, his voice choked and hoarse. "I... I only have one request. I hope you can protect and care for my wife... She knows nothing about any of this and has even lost the ability to take care of herself. I beg you... Please keep her safe from Christopher''s clutches!"
